I'm trading crypto and currently use trading view because I keep everything in cold storage and don't move it until it reaches a point. I am experiment with coinbase but don't trust them with much, is there a way to track a portfolio from an app and see the whole btc value at that time?

It would require something like a watch only wallet or something similar... I might get into real estate and stocks trading for the capital I don't want to risk as much so if there's anything that encorporates them then I'd be interested to know of it too but just bitcoin and alts to start with is fine...

I like Coin Tracking for my web version portfolio and for the phone I use Blockfolio.

I will be testing Gem soon enough, I like the interface.

Thanks I've downloaded both of those apps and started testing with them.

I'll probably use a spreadsheet on my laptop too but wanted something for my phone that's portable.

It's a shame they're in dollars and not bitcoin but it's fairly simple to change that kmentally I guess...

If you want a portfolio that can be accessed by your all devices then CoinTracking could be the good one (based on my liking). They have mobie app for Andriod and IOS.

CoinTracking is fully automated (manual things can also be done), no pain for adding things manually one by one, it pulls data from your public address - balance, transactions. You can also monitor your exchanges by api. Tax report option is available. With the free version you will not be able to do much.

Blockfolio is only for mobile and it's completely manual. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD all three is available with a tap or two. Just tap total balance figure to change.

Not sure about Gem yet.

I moved from Blockfolio to Delta a long time ago because I found Blockfolio to be quite buggy at times. Delta has the added bonus of being able to sync across devices, so I can use the same profile on both my computer and phone, and changes on one are automatically updated on the other. The biggest downside is that it isn't automatic, and you have to enter every buy, sell, and trade manually.

I've never used CoinTracking - I remember poking around on their site a few years ago, but never went further than that. Looks like it has been developed quite a lot since then. Their automatic tax reports look very interesting. Might well be worth a subscription given how much time it could save over my current spreadsheet set up. Thanks for sharing!

I'm currently managing my portfolio in Blockfolio. It's a great app and they always upgrade and update very quickly on the prices of the tokens and there are over 8000 coins listed there.
Besides, it has an alarm function at dangerous rates that you need to set up. It is quite effective and easy to see, you can download and experience it.

Delta is one of most popular crypto portfolio app that you can try.

Apart from Delta, you can also try Blockfolio, Gem, CryptoCompare, CoinTracking, Coinstats and Coinmanager apps as well.

Each app has its own pros and cons. Therefore, it's up to you to decide which portfolio tracker is suitable for your requirements.

Blockfolio is the best for the phone version, I’m using it now and I’m satisfied. I think every trader must use porfolio tracker because its very easy to use and its so easy to monitor your porfolio wherever you are. If I’m using web I just log on my account on exchanges and there you go, doesn’t need for any third party services.

I moved from Blockfolio to Delta a long time ago because I found Blockfolio to be quite buggy at times.

Another vote for Delta here. Timely alerts and good real-time data. It's obviously not good for tax tracking given that it requires manual entry but it's solid for day-to-day tracking and watchlisting coins.

I recall hearing Blockfolio had really bad privacy policies too.

I have been very ok with block folio since I have been using it, I can’t say much about delta because this one looks kind of strange to me, but I know that everyone all have their own benefits, and one great feature I like about blockfolio is that it has comprehensive coin database including some that you cannot even find on coinmarketcap.

There are so many projects I worked on as campaign in the past few years, and I have been trying to know their worth, but because ether wallet could not pull their value out, I assumed that they had not entered exchange, meanwhile some of them already had value which blockfolio was the only application that pointed me to the right direction where I could trade them.

I use the Blockfolio app. If you ask me Blockfolio is a confusing app to use.

Gem is the next one that I will try. Thanks for the suggestion to use Gem, akamit.

This is the app I am using when I started joining crypto. It's not that confusing if you ask me. You can even troll people by putting a lot of assets. And then prank them that you have 10k btc or more.  Grin

ETH Token Explorer (a Telegram bot) is a good alternative if your portfolio is mainly in alts (or ERC20 to be precise). Use them for a while now, and while it sometimes lags, it's good enough for me.

Yes, overall it is only for tracking some of our ERC20 tokens in the wallet, in addition to the base token we cannot track. And what main applications do you use frequently?

Why look for a portfolio tracker when there are wallets that will already give you details of every coins that you are holding. If you are using wallets like Blockchain wallet and Exodus wallet, on your dashboard there is a chart there that shows how many coins you're holding, the percentage and how much each of them is worth and these wallets are very safe, especially Exodus wallet.

I prefer Exodus wallet for desktop and they just released their mobile apps… They are yet to release for Android, only iPhone has an app for now. I haven't tried the mobile app because I don't use iPhone, so I'm waiting for the android app to be released. Even Coinbase is a trusted wallet, I don't know why you're saying you don't trust them.

Why would you store money on an exchange? If most of your wealth is on coinbase then it's not very secure. What if they go bankrupt?

What if their ceo dies with the cold storage like that Canadian exchange.

Putting money in exchanges for the long term is like betting odd on roulette with everything but without as much of a win... You heard what happened to Mt gox?

What if they go bankrupt?
Or what if they are hacked?  Or what if they exit scam? Or what if a rogue employee or two drains their cold storage? Or what if they shutdown? Or what if the US government shuts them down or seizes their cold storage? Or what if they spring unannounced mandatory KYC procedures on all wallet users? Or what if some malicious code finds it way in to their closed-source system?

Web wallets in general are a bad idea for all the above reasons, but Coinbase in particular are not a company to be trusted. They insider trade, they list and pump the coins that their own investors are holding, they hand over user details to the IRS, they sell clients' data without their knowledge, they partner with Hacking Team, etc. They care only about their own profits.

I wouldn't trust Coinbase to hold a single satoshi for me.

I don't know your trading broker but I like the most popular broker Bitrex & Binance.

You installed binance app on your phone and mark your favorite token or coin it is better way for others site or app  Moreover you just following Bitcoin or other mother coin and token you select & add your favorites list and used must be Stop-loss nearest level if you have confused Bitcoin Drop-down.
