I should have asked this right directly in Singaporean community in Local section but it seems there is no active thread of their community there.

Ok moving forward, we will travel to Singapore a few months from now...

a) Any convenient way of withdrawing BTC in Singapore? Like Crypto ATM's around etc.
b) Any SG based local crypto exchanges around that I can use freely? (kyc concerns)

My purpose is not to initiate an early conversion of my BTC to cover extra spendings there. Saving fiat while taking advantage of the current bitcoin price. Will just do a conversion if necessary. I'm 100% confident that our budget is enough to support our 1-week stay there but there's a thing called "urgent" expenses that we are not expecting.

Follow up question will be asked after a few responses. Thank you.

1. There are 8. Most of them in the same area: https://coinatmradar.com/city/151/bitcoin-atm-singapore/
2. There is FYBSG but KYC is needed but even then, that wouldn't work as you're only traveling there and not a resident.

In case of emergencies, I don't think you would mind going to the ATMs or paying the extra fees so... that should the trick. If not, you could check Localbitcoins, I'm pretty sure you'll find plenty of people or even the forums, as you're a reputable member.

Ok so confirmed. There are really BITCOIN ATM's around SG. That's good. I will now disregard my second question for an obvious reason.

Yes, I don't mind paying extra fees since it's urgent. I like the idea of one of the ATM service provider:

Daenerys Crypto ATM - "UNREGISTERED customers will be subject to a daily limit of SGD50/DAY."

Will do my homework now extracting other details to other service providers. Also, need to know if how can I transfer my BTC there so I can convert it to cash if ever. Never used a Crypto ATM before.  Thanks for the site.

Like what? Can you name any? Leave the research about them to me.

I'm really thinking of using Coinsbank but they stopped issuing new cards and even if does, I don't know if can get one before our scheduled flight.

Will wait for other responses before locking the thread.

Where did you find that "SGD50/DAY" limit? I can't seem to find it... that looks very low.

I've used Bitaccess ATMs before (it should be the same) and basically, the limits are set per phone number so If you have multiple numbers, you can clearly bypass those without any KYC verification needed. If you wish to go through the verification process and increase your limits, there should be a camera/scanner in the ATM for that purpose, you just need your passport or whatever ID.

As for how the ATMs work, the ATM will give you a QR code, you'll scan it and send the bitcoins. You will have to wait for a few confirmations but don't have to sit there waiting, you can go and come back another time.
The ATM will send you an SMS code when the transaction has been confirmed, and you could use that SMS to withdraw your funds anytime. (Maybe there is a limit set of how many hours or days, but that should be explained in the SMS).

For the debit cards, I suggest taking a look at this list. If you are from Europe then you can go with Wirexapp as it's best. I believe Coinbase started supporting a few European countries as well.

Where did you find that "SGD50/DAY" limit? I can't seem to find it... that looks very low.

I think on their Facebook page via your shared link. Will recall later once I get home.

Anyhow, for unregistered customers, 50SGD looks pretty fine to me since it's just a week-long stay and my only purpose is about financial backup just in case. Way better than nothing although I don't know how much the power value of having a 50SGD in Singapore. Based on the current conversion in USD, it's about $35 so it can save a day, at least.

KYC seems to be out of my option now since I'm just a traveller there for a week. Good thing, I can able to access the machines there even without undergoing on it although the limit is surely low.

I will purchase a new SIM exclusive for SG's data providers since I also need mobile internet data throughout our stay. I will use that for accessing the ATM.

I went there in March and explored the local Bitcoin scene a bit.

Awesome.

Do you actually see a Bitcoin ATM's there around? Can you tell me the location just for reference? Might be nearby to our expected places to visit.

How about stores that accept crypto? Do you see those personally?

There's a few ATMs yes, check my links.
You can also have a look as suggested at coinatmradar.com. You'll get the addresses there.
The only place I went to that accepted payment in cryptos was the Ducatus Cafe.

Nice. I've just checked today the links you have shared. Awesome references you have there. Smiley

Locking this thread now as all shared references here are enough already I guess.

Feel free to hit me a PM if anyone has other recommendations or suggestions.

Thanks, everyone.
