This is a good read kabayan, this new project from facebook although just a stable coin is also a big solution for inflation as anyone can easily convert their money to this coin that is probably be pegged in USD, of course USD's value is better than a 3rd world country as they are more stable.

Most millenials forget that in the 90's, the USDPHP exchange rate was 25 pesos to a dollar. That means that, in less time than it took to make you woke, the peso has lost 50% of its value.

At the risk of sounding anarchic, getting out of the Philippine Peso (and this is the same advice I give for all secondary currencies) is the single most financially-sound decision anyone can make in the long term. So when your parents admonish you to save more money, don't bother. Saving your third-world currency is a fruitless endeavour and will yield less value than you started off with the longer you save it. If you don't have the guts or the know-how to put your money into Bitcoin, at least put it into USD or Euro.

Most cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin, are being eyed as a solution to inflation long before facebook even thought of entering the crypto scene.

I do not think na Facebook Libra cryptocurrency is a solution sa inflation.  USD itself is ever inflating currency, what if yung mga USD from other country goes back sa USD? As far as I know umabot sa palitan na 54php per 1 dollar pero ngayon ay n asa 51.19 php per dollar.  This simply means na kung walang naliligtas sa inflation at makikita naman nating lumakas ang value ni PHP against dollar, so with this I do not think na FB Libra is a solution sa inflation since it is pegged sa USD.

I do not think na Facebook Libra cryptocurrency is a solution sa inflation.
Interesting....

And if 100% ba talaga na "pegged with usd" yung Libra na stable coin.

Well, let's see for the upcoming updates ng Libra. Since baka nasa 2020 pa ito talaga mag fully working and deployed.

Quite on the contrary, dito nakakalamang ang Libra. Siguro dahil ang pangalang Facebook at Mark Zuckerberg ang nasa front-line nito, marami silang nakukuhang investors o founding members. Last I heard, meron na silang 28 na billion-valued companies in USD. Target nila is 100 founding members. The names Uber, Spotify, Visa, etc. are already committing.

Ang target launching is 2020 but the building o development is this year.

May binuksan akong thread dito. Maaari nating i-discuss ang credentials ng Libra at whether or not okay ba na suportahan natin ito. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5161575.0
