This as been a question running through my mind always. All ICOs have their ICO price and sales price.  The ICO price is usually lesser than the market price (that is why people invest to make profit when its listed).
But this days when coin is listed the price drop drastically much more than ICO price which left the investors of no profit.
What could cause this drop when listed?
Let's hear our own though please.

many people think prices fall because investors sell too much. some say because of the token bounty. and some believe prices can fall because the chosen exchange is not good and does not have a large enough trading volume.

but for me, this problem happened because of the team and the project. if only they could control rumors and prioritize quality rather than profit, this would never happen.

You know that even projects that get hardcaps, sometimes doubt the listing in a large exchange. because the fees are too high. and the team is too optimistic, while investors don't want to wait long, this is what causes prices to fall.

Generally, the new coins that are newly listed on the exchange will always have dropped price. It may be caused by some factors in common:
1. Investor/developer strategy to take the coins for themselves.
2. The big selling from bounty or airdrop hunters
3. New coins are less of the trust and value.
4. The starting process of a token or coin in the new listing influenced by the market members.
But I'm sure that the good coin with the real product will have a significant increase in this price on the exchange or market.

It is really depends on the marketing strategy of the devs, it usually has a great factor in terms of pricing, I noticed that a coin that has a good team and focus on the roadmap has a good and consistent price in the market unlike those coins that has already abandoned by thr team usually it is just like a meteor rapidly  hitting the ground.

Maybe participant disappointed on what the plan of the developer to the project that cause selling the price at low price or maybe its marketing plan is not good to make people satisfy to the project goal and mostly some bounty hunter sell quickly their reward even the price is in the lower actual selling price.

Many various aspects cause a decrease when listed, whether from investors who sell bonuses from the ICO continuously from bounty participants or from the developers themselves.

in the first instance, the price at ico are mostly on realistic, a project will put ico price at $0.01 per token/coin even when they know that the token those not hold any value at that time, investor will buy regardless then the real value will be determined by the market when it get listed on the exchange, so maybe when project owners start reducing their initial coin offering price to the lowest minimum then there will be increase in price when listed on exchange.

I agree with him, the hunter bounty seems to be the cause of falling prices when registered in exchange.
this is detrimental, because with that opinion dev makes an annoying rule. sometimes dev delays bounty hunter payments for a long time.
the policy must be evaluated.

Actually, not in all cases. The price already dropped even before they send those coins to their bounty hunters. I have seen a lot of situations like that. And how can you blame those hunters? They don't even have their tokens yet. So I'm thinking, the culprit might be those investors who bought the tokens at a very cheap prices because of so many discounts or the team themselves.
This is a failure of the dev to convince investors to hold their coins.
The job of the hunter is to promote the project and after that they are free to sell or hold.
most dev is more focused on the project and does not think about prices in the market, that is another reason the price of coins falls when listed on the market.

Don't you think it is already too obvious? People buy the ICO coins during the funding process and get it cheap and the earliest people get it even cheaper on the first stages of the funding and then when it comes out they are already profiting double the price they got in so they are selling it.

Yes, that creates a problem because of the sale wave that makes panic sale happen and the coin goes down more than the ICO stage but the main starting point is always people who bought it cheap and sold it at the top prices to make a profit, what happens afterwards is not directly that but it is an indirect cause of it. If someone gives you 100 dollars worth of ethereum for only 50 dollars wouldn't you take it? And wouldn't you sell it to make sure you are not scammed? Same idea.

There are many reasons why prices fall after being listed. But I think the main reason is due to market volatility and because those projects distribute bounty too soon. So it causes the token price to fall down many times

There are many reasons why coins drop in value after getting listed e.g dev teams can dump ,bounty hunters can dump as well or even airdrop hunters but if the coin has a working product it will recover in time

First instinct most of the people have is to sell so the price goes down.

The main reason for the coins has dump is because the bounty hunters sell all of the tokens in the market at a one-time price and it filled the order buy to the lowest price. That makes the price of the token was hard to increase back if the project doesn't have good support from the dev and the teams. That is what happens to every token that releases on the market, but if the tokens or the project is very good and strong, they can increase in a long time.

Actually this can be prevented. by conducting trading competition events. and in the selection of the dev, you have to be able to find a good one, this will greatly support price increases or the potential for large dumps

This topic has often been asked by everyone here. No one has yet confirmed with certainty about this. There is only a mistake to blame each other when the price falls when it's already flat. There are a number of things that might be the cause that people often say is that Bounty Hunter throws tokens at low prices, investors who have lots of tokens and when they are registered, throw them away. And also Dev from projects that might have a large allocation directly sell and leave the project. That's what often happens when one another blames it.
Agree, there are many ways cause the tokens drop in price when listed on exchange, most of the reason I heard is bounty hunter throw the token at low price, but most of the project only allocation 1~5% of total sold tokens as bounty rewards, I'm confused how come this small allocation tokens will cause the price drop? I think main reason is investor throw the tokens and after that buy more tokens at low price.

Because the premined coins are being sold and DEV is making money out of thin air which most of the investors don't have any idea about. ICO projects are also being dumped sometimes because of the dump by bounty hunters as well.

There are many reasons  why the token price drop when listed on exchange, investors sell their token to get profit, the bounty hunters, the market dump will result of panic selling, the team secretly sell their tokens, well that's all I know the reasons.

Unless the ICO have some real products to be used, their token won't have high value.
Massive adoption are needed to increasing the value of the token. Maybe investors need more time to wait for the project to developing.

I agree with you and that is something the fanboys of worthless tokens absolutely don't want to understand. They refuse the criticism that a lot of these tokens aren't worth anything and they just hold tight.

Factors such of little or lack of demand and too much supply, and toke holders who are eager to sell off their token competing about the lowest to sell, thereby significantly dumping the price.

because most investors sell all the bonuses they have and investors really want a price reduction in order to buy more when the price is cheap, and one of the main factors is their product is not real
