We have a few of them already, you can take a look at those projects and learn from them. Here's an example: Sapien. Every post, like, share you earn their native token, SPN. It was launched I think around Q1 of 2019 but even with all the hype they still struggle to have a decent amount of users within their platform. Another one is Empowr. Almost entirely the same as Facebook but with tokens as a reward for each action you do within their platform. Also struggling to have enough users to make it into the mainstream. If you're planning on launching one; It should be unique, rewards its users, cannot be exploited for its rewards and has good tech support. I Totally agreed with your opinion but I will digress a little. Those platforms might be struggling at present as Bitcoin was not popular for many years before it is gaining massive adoption. Anything on blockchain should just continue eventhough they are struggling at present, the future belong to them and as long they can implement new ideas. Nothing just get adopted one day. I Totally agreed with your opinion but I will digress a little. Those platforms might be struggling at present as Bitcoin was not popular for many years before it is gaining massive adoption. Anything on blockchain should just continue eventhough they are struggling at present, the future belong to them and as long they can implement new ideas. Nothing just get adopted one day. With Facebook Libra and Brave Browser, this will create a big awareness and people will be looking on how to get rewards when they do things online.
Since the world financial system can no longer exist according to the old rules, an alternative will be needed in any case. We must understand that this replacement of classical financial institutions will begin in the coming months. Agreements between the countries are already taking place. Tomorrow will be the G20 summit, where the first serious discussions begin. |

Steam is a simple portal that allows you to upload your publications to the authors. Normal resource... Live Journal with publication rewards only. It is of no use to the crypto community. The people there are just to post articles from other sites, often of poor quality. |

I'm pretty sure you are considering or having this idea on mind because of Libra.If yes,then you should make your platform to be popular first. hehe We offer a specialized social network. What could be special with the social network you’re going to offer? Not to discourage you but a lot of social network platforms had came up already and were not successful. if you are planning of launching or offering another social network it should be something different from the leading ones right now and should contain some features the the leading networks do not posses to make a difference and catch the attention of users. It must contain features that are badly needed that are not in existing networks. Only then you will be able to launch your coin if your network is already established. |

Well, I think the latest trend seems to be developing Crypto coins for social media networks. The problem is these social media platforms are not going to use external developers to interact with their systems, because it is going to compete with their own local technologies. So your coin might get banned on their platforms.  The good thing is if you manage to develop something and they like it, then they might buy it or hire you to develop this further with the help of their local team.  Libra was just the tip of the iceberg of what is to come in the future. |

There are many projects that are intensifying members with free token but yet to still make any impact. This is not far fetch from the crypto adoption which is still lagging but this will surely change over time in the next 5-10 years minimum.

Hmm. The name of the social network please? It will depend on how it will work. Example is Twitter. So how are you going to use a crypto currency on that kind of platform which really doesnt need that? Payment for what? Facebook is creating something like Tether and why the hell should I invest with it. With the same conversion rate in USD there is just no sense. I will just better buy Tether than go to another platform which will just do the same. |

Facebook is blacklisted in my dictionary the day I came to know that they leak our data by breaching their own privacy policy so I hope and wish Libra and Facebook all the failure they must get to drop the idea about coming up with a global currency as everything will be known and crypto will be centralized or (wait) completely controlled by someone who already cheated the Winklevoss brothers. |

I know some projects that are developing these kinds of services and is nearing launch, UHIVE is an example and the rewards and looks are amazing if implemented and working. Social network with cryptocurrency and trading involved? Why not.

I've seen many projects trying to basically do the same thing. You add more problem here as you address a very specific user, which probably need or not need a new platform for their interactions. The problem here is the same as any other project, user acquisition, and token demand.
If you want to build something like this, you don't need your own tokens. Bitcoin or any other crypto should be good enough.
