I remember when at the peak of the bitcoin price in 2017, many began to buy it,hoping that it will cost even more,but what happened happened.Now I see the same situation.When bitcoin cost 4 000 no one thought about buying it.Now everyone is ready to buy it for $ 10,000.That's absurd.Personally, I recorded a profit and now I'm waiting for an even greater rise in price.I haven't thought about additional purchase yet.
I think people are fomoing on facebook coin. It is really unexpected to even hit $11k now. Usually on weekends traders take their profit and no pumps like this happens. Bitcoin's price is really volatile. No expert can guess where it will go. |

To be honest, I don’t even know what to expect. I realized a long time ago that it is impossible to believe analysts' forecasts, and technical analysis is far from always helpful in the cryptocurrency market. Although, it should be noted that according to technical analysis, everything indicates that Bitcoin will continue to grow. Such rapid growth scares me, because as we all know, what quickly grows then just as quickly falls.

You are right. Today is the big day for the Bitcoin breaking the barriers. It has reached more than $11k only in a day. It is very incredible after so long time, after one year it has very dumped price and now it has proved the value of real Bitcoin. I believe that BTC price will increase again and be more stable.

Been talking about this last couple of months and here we go Bitcoin about to reach $11k after crossing $10k. In my optimism, It will go to $12k and then there will be a dip. Truth to be said It's not the right time to buy in exceptionally when bitcoin is on hard pumping.

I have been calling for a price upswing following by a rather large crash into the 4k or 5k range. I think this is our upward time, then we will crash before then testing and eventually breaking through the ATH after the next halving.

Some might say again this is because of whales and their actions but I don't think so. It's probably circumstances on the market and investors mood that pushed the price.
Still it's hard to say if this is going to last and we will have some continuous growth or is this a temporary pump after which some corrections will follow.

FOMO, greed, newcomers trying to not miss the train, whales playing games, etc, etc. Trying to pinpoint the exact reason behind such massive spike is nothing but a waste of time, there's literally no way to know for sure what's causing this surge. Isn't it obvious? Libra is the answer. One of the biggest players in the market(Facebook) have openly declared that they are planning on launching their own cryptocurrency by unveiling the whitepaper which has had a ripple effect on the crypto world. How exactly does the Libra hype impacts the price of Bitcoin? You think people are going " Oh, Facebook is going to launch a cryptocurrency next year, guess I'll buy Bitcoin now"?? What's the logic behind that? More and more people are interested in what Libra is and how it is different when compared to BTC, but this is indirectly benefiting BTC in a big way leading to the recent rally. This will probably look very small when compared to the upcoming Halving rally in 2020.

I don't know, I find it scary that the price is being too volatile and moving upwards so fast. I don't think there're particular causes behind the current pump. It's all the long-awaited correction after more than a year of the bearish market; investors considering Bitcoin valuable, being impressed by how it got out of the bearish market; and, unfortunately, FOMO. I don't think it's late to invest. It's never late to invest long-term in Bitcoin, IMO, because, in the end, it will reach a new ATH point. As for short-term things - I am not sure, but I wouldn't do it, because the price is too high, and there might be a correction around the corner. |

there is no pump since it is bitcoin not some altcoin to get pumped. this rise however is the same bull run that started months ago when we broke out of $3k range and started this whole rally. and main reason for it like always is the increase of adoption. I want to invest in bitcoin, it is too late?
no you don't, you just want to advertise your website, I bet you won't even read any of the replies  The best reply so far. lol If the OP sincerely wants to invest, no need to ask the community here. He will buy on his own decision. You will find all kinds of promoters and advertisers of various crypto-related platforms because the price of bitcoin is starting again to increase in good amounts and everybody wants to be in it. |

Some downside is ongoing right now after hitting $11k now it's moving down as current value is $10,714 maybe a little slide before moving upwards again as some traders will sell after getting short term targets while others will buy in taking chances while value still considerable. |

Nobody knows exactly where we're heading, but I'm quite optimistic with the recent move. At this moment, we should have left the disbelief phase and people are starting to get confidence for the next run.
Lots of people even believe that we could reach $80k by July 2020.
I wet myself a little bit on reading the above. At 80K a BTC I would become likely the biggest 'ass' on the planet. I hope it is true but can't even wrap my head around such. Likely results of BTC in my case hitting $80k a BTC. 1) Would become an 'epic' ass, and thus giving up my amateur status as simply being 'occasionally' 'ass like' in my actions. Would go full pro tour asshole. 2) Would suddenly be more attractive to the oppisite sex (and other...ewwww..). Thus contributing to (see 1 above) 3) Would 'delude' myself that it was all 'skill' when in reality, I just got in as an early adopter because this seemed more prudent then losing $60 a month in electric by putting the old bbs and game server back up. I was bored. Yes, that is the lamest excuse ever to get into BTC in 2013. Also by 'forgetting such' (see 1 above). 4) The IRS and others would 'likely' take a lot more interest in my actions. At $80k BTC, there would be a lot of 'data mining' 'supposed' legit Tax Returns for corrected 'ahem' revenue. 5) I would likely, at $80k BTC completely crack up, never selling any, and at the age of 101 years be found dead with cats and an unreadable paper wallet from fondling it. So looking at above, $80k BTC sounds good. I can deal with the above. It is all about the rationalization.  Brad |

I think there's no pump happening on bitcoin but a natural growth in price because of mass adoption, people are buying bitcoin and we can see altcoins doesn't have that much increase in price. I think bitcoin is heading to a new all time high so invest now before its too late.

Do not forget about those people, who believed that Bitcoin could reach 100 thousand soon and bought BTC when it was 20 thousand. Even now, with Bitcoin for over 10K, they cannot cover their losses still. |

In 2017, Bitcoin reached $ 20,000 from $ 10,000 in just 2-3 weeks. And from $ 8000 it came to this point again very quickly. Do you think it could be $ 20,000 in three weeks?
If I remember correctly, bitcoin had a 16x growth rate to set a historical milestone for this world at $ 20k for 5 weeks. A lot of views on this issue but I think, it has come up with extremely impressive efforts. When bitcoin overcomes resistance and investors hold a good profit lock. I think 10k is a stable resistance to continue moving. 24k in January is possible. |
