Ethereum Classic Will Do Hard Fork On September 17, 2019 Upcoming!

The Ethereum Classic crypto currency will do an official hard fork (hard fork) set in block 8,772,000 on the DLL blockchain network, as determined by Discord finalizing the Ethereum Classic Improvement Protocol (ECIP)

As discussed, developers and contributors previously considered placing hardfork in block number 8.75 million, which is expected to fall on September 15, 2019.

An official ETC blog post approved a schedule change on June 19, 2019 yesterday, which was approved by block 8,772,000 as the actual date of the fork will fall around September 17, 2019.

This was an important security issue in the ETC blockchain. Ethereum did a similar fork to solve it but ETC developers were not able to get a consensus about the way to fix that security issue. Finally they agreed to do what the ethereum did.
