The Ethereum Classic crypto currency will do an official hard fork (hard fork) set in block 8,772,000 on the DLL blockchain network, as determined by Discord finalizing the Ethereum Classic Improvement Protocol (ECIP)
As discussed, developers and contributors previously considered placing hardfork in block number 8.75 million, which is expected to fall on September 15, 2019.
However, because the 15th is Sunday, Lab ETC replaces it and increases the number of blocks so that it can increase over the count, so that more parties are involved, such as transportation exchanges and developers, this is for the benefit of development that appears smoothly and safely.
Because the release is still a few months away, the number of estimated blocks is still not perfect; If calculated from the total number of 8,772,000 new blocks it will fall on Tuesday, September 17, around midday UST.
This decision was agreed upon.
An official ETC blog post approved a schedule change on June 19, 2019 yesterday, which was approved by block 8,772,000 as the actual date of the fork will fall around September 17, 2019.
This post also notes that the Atlantis hard fork is currently testing testing to eliminate unwanted bugs or other problems from applying new fork codes to approved original network ETCs.
