In most cases, this is due to inflation and the opportunity to make money on the growth of Bitcoin. Inflation is a rather acute problem in developing countries. The point here is not in the government or the leadership of the country, namely, that many people want to save their savings and also earn. Cryptocurrencies made it possible for many people in the developing countries to get rich fairly quickly. In developed countries, people live better, so they didn’t grasp that opportunity at the time. They simply had no such incentive.

don't u find it weird? The less eveloped counties support blockchain implementation the most? what is the reason? possibility to earn or to steal?

Link to the article: https://ambcrypto.com/indonesia-russia-philippines-and-india-among-countries-whose-citizens-actively-support-budding-crypto-projects/

They are just getting too much buzz. Though they are one of the largest countries by population and policies made by them would have immense effect in comparison to smaller countries, a lot of small countries in Europe and some in Asia like Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea are much more friendly to crypto.
I agree with this, those 3 countries are the countries who made a recent big adaption on crypto that made a news and headline around the bitcoin world. There still alot of country who really supports bitcoin compared to russia philippines and india.

Every time I hear about India it's always a negative crypto related piece of news. If the people support bitcoin so much in there why don't they protest against the plans of their government that is calling BTC a fraud and a way to launder money. That support will not mean much if it gets banned and they allow for it.

Same here in our country. Our government has no official statement of legalizing nor banning the use of crypto, in my perspective they are just in the neutral side. I guess they already realized that it could help our economy that's why they are not contradicting crypto and just only warn its countrymen about the risks of investing into it. However, I'm still not contented with the adaption we attained right now because I know we can achieve more. The lack of eagerness for the introduction of this technology is the main concern here, still few knew about btc but i hope our crypto community grow further as time goes by.

You should not use accuse these people or even use the word steal, I live in one of those countries and it is not right to judge people without basis at all, and it is not weird that these countries accept this technology you are just one big idiot to overlook the capability of these countries.

That is because they are the most oppressed countries, having the most hard working people.

When I was a 10 years old child, because I was laughing in class, my teacher throw me out of the class for half hour. An Indian girl that was 1 year older than I am,  came to me and started to talk. I was no 1 in my class (43 children) at mathematics.
We had to leave the shoes at the entrance to the classroom and dress up with slippers. This Indian girl started to count the shoes by 2, and she counted 43 pairs of shoes in 30 seconds.

Until today (when I buy Euros or Dollars) I am counting the money by 1 and I remember that little Indian girl, older with 1 year than I am that has counted 43 pairs of shoes in 30 seconds by 2.

As far as I can recall, there was some protest though, but I don't think it garnered support from crypto enthusiast in India.

Russia? I don't think that they are going to be crypto friendly because they always contradict themselves.

But look at how the people of Russia is very active in cryptocurrency. There are even a lot of crypto projects that are developed by the Russians themselves. This goes to show that you cannot really stop people from supporting and using cryptocurrency even if the government itself is against it. Cryptocurrency is simply more powerful than governments. They cannot shut it down.

I think you've said it wrong, it's not the countries that support Bitcoin the most but people in that countries. And that is the difference. In fact governments in countries you've mentioned are not very fond of cryptocurrencies unlike the government of Japan that supports the use of cryptocurrencies.

Yeah right it happens a lot in most countries too especially to the so-called third world country and since they were in the underdeveloped country most people were relying on finding their work in any crypto activity or through online. Japan is an exception to this since their government fully supports the blockchain and crypto technology in the first place.

Quote from the linked article: "In a shocking revelation, the report suggested that most active participants in the emergence of new crypto-projects (within airdrop, bounty and referral programs) were from Indonesia at 18%, followed by Russia at 16%."

I don't think taking part in airdrops, bounties, and referral programs is necessarily synonymous with "supporting" crypto.. obviously these countries has the most airdrop/bounty activity, simply because most of the countries listed are 3rd world countries.

It's really wrong to based on bounty when bounty are for new coins and the share of new coins in the market is relatively small.
Bounty hunters also are not all supporting crypto as most of them will just join considering crypto as an investment rather than a salary, and they will just down right after they receive their reward and that is not a support.

Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is a huge opportunity and us people living in a third world are very quick to grab the opportunity that comes along the way and so is those countries that are listed in your list, there is nothing to be weird about.

The article only mentions about participating in airdrop bounties not specific in the development of blockchain or crypto.

Especially for Indonesia, the President who is leading and successfully winning the election has more attention to crypto, hopefully there is a real implementation from the government to be able to develop blockchain and crypto in Indonesia.

Since when that Russia turns to be less developed country?i don’t think so mate

But regarding to your question,Venezuela is a dying economy when they started embracing cryptocurrency since they find it very helpful to support the technology and the how beneficial this is

So with that I think those mentioned countries already find the help earlier than those develop countries, but you forgot to mention Germany and Japan some most developed countries that supports Bitcoin first before others

Big countries are afraid of losing because they do not know how to tax Bitcoin and regulate the market. It is still a problem. The majority of governments look at the state's chastity. They do not like to give away money ...

Because of the promising opportunities and benefits offered by cryptocurrencies I see are the reasons why people in these countries are supporting it. Philippines, India and other countries mentioned, see cryptos as another source of income, especially that it involves and is done using the internet. Most people in these countries spends most of their time using internet, why not spend it in things that may benefit them.

Indonesia is a less eveloped  country, but the population is the most after China, even children who do not have identity cards have known cryptocurrency

The Philippine government really is not so tight with the crypto related services even if the Filipinos are being involved in a lot of scam scheme. The might be the main reason why the Philippines is a part of this because there are no solid laws here with regards to crypto. As long as the business can pay taxes the SEC is going to approved it

Your thread title is confusing and misstated. I am from the Philippines and I don't see PHILIPPINES SUPPORT CRYPTOCURRENCIES. The link you provided say's CITIZENS, not the countries as a body.

Philippine government doesn't support cryptocurrencies at all. The government created a regulatory board that will regulate the usage of cryptocurrencies in the country. Although they already gave license to some companies that works on cryptocurrencies (e.g. coins.ph), the government warned the public about the risks of investing in cryptocurrencies considering its volatility and nature.

On the other hand, there are still many Filipinos who are using cryptocurrencies esp. bitcoin, and the number of users are still increasing. Just like what I've said in my other posts on other threads, the government can't easily stop cryptocurrencies in their country. The best thing they can do is to regulate the use of these electronic assets, and to keep on reminding the people about the risks of it.

I can tell you why crypto is so popular in Russia

Don't know about Indonesia (but the same reasons can apply there as well), but in Russia people are very suspicious of the local government (deep inside) up to a point where they can publicly tell you one thing (e.g. that they fully support whatever the government does) but in reality they definitely know better (read, they don't trust the Russian ruble). And crypto happens to efficiently and effectively end the government control over personal finance enforced via inflation and a multitude of other nasty devices (given the rich history of fiat devaluations and money expropriations in this country)
Different from in Indonesia, there may be some of the same reasons for each user. but most people here support bitcoin and crypto because of the economic benefits they get. I myself still believe in the government, and my local currency, I support bitcoin because I get a lot of benefits from it
