Is the Litecoin rally over for now?

I bought a bunch of LTC at like $40. I’ve seen the USD VALUE go up a lot, and the Satoshi value go down from like 1.0BTC now to .6ish.

Ultimately I care more about Satoshi values.

Should I dump my LTC for BTC and continue to ride the wave up, or be patient and wait for the halvening and see if LTC continues to rally despite taking a bit of a breather.

My target LTC sell was $200. I thought we would be there by now.

Of a true litecoin has performed very well and remember that around January this year it was around $38. The current price of $136 was not expected and in January many litecoin's speculators were "saying the highest it can go in 2019 should be around $80 or $100"!  We are in June and it has made a very serious surprised. I think your $200 expectation will be realized very soon and all you need to do is to keep waiting for the next serious push as the market is projecting good investment returns this year. Its relationship with bitcoin will also change soonest as we expect an inflow of funds from Bitcoin to the altcoins market

i think you should increase your patience now,, while bitcoin growing of course a lot of altcoins will down for a while
but i believe litecoin price will explode and grow more than $200 before the halving event happening in this cryptocurrency

it is also having such the power and potential to develop but their right time is not still happening if the Bull Run is happening for the litecoin also then it must be the most developing kind in the future with good potential in it to invest so that I am waiting for that development.

I see your hesitation of keeping LTC OP.  Bitcoin is surging in price and so the BTC value of LTC is decreasing.  You are worrying that if BTC goes up really high, you might miss the chance of riding since your priority is satoshi not the USD value.  So your caught between what ifs,  better scale the weight wisely.  And if I am you, I would go for the satoshi, because if you are right that Bitcoin will go up insanely, you might probably pass that $200 value of LTC in a converted BTC value of  your LTC.  But of course, the decision is all yours.

We will see the effect of the block halving but that may need more time consider that will not give an instant change to the market. Remember litecoin gets less inflation doesn't mean if that will increase on its price instantly.

You are right, effect may not take place immediately. But every time there's halving, specifically for bitcoin and good altcoin like Litecoin, bulls comes after it.

It's not about patience, OP bought his LTC at $40 and now LTC price is $136 (according coinmarket). Based on Usd value, his investment has increased more than 3 times but based on satoshi or btc, his investment down to 0.6. Even if he waiting for Ltc reached $200, his investment still lower if btc price keep increasing

It is unlikely that this asset will depreciate from here since the halving is so close if anything it would be representing decent value as potential asset to add to your portfolio for the medium to long term especially with the developments coming later this year

It's a difficult call on alts at the moment. A lot of us are expecting momentum to shift from BTC to alts, but this is still not happening. Personally I am keeping my alts for a while longer rather than move everything back to BTC.

Are you up for short term or long term investments?

If you want to earn shorter then do convert your LTC to BTC since the rally of alts are too far from bitcoin

But if you are for long term investments then just wait for the move up of alts specially Litecoin in which predicted to take a return in top 3 position again sooner

The trend is clearly an uptrend here
Don't look at the short term correction/drop

It looks like the bull trend gets paused for litecoin. it will be your target but the chart says the opposite thing than it. The uptrend is only for bitcoin and litecoin has done its bullish and it will come back later without any ETA.
Anybody has different opinion about the chart.

That is almost the same price I bought my Litecoin actually! I got it around 10% more or closer to $50 but yeah,,, like you,,, I was very happy to see LTC do its performance the way it did. Of course it has a long way to go before it can reach its ATH but we have to remember at the same time that when ATH was reached it was too overpriced.

I also care more about Satoshi values so it is quite sad to see the price, and now halving is no longer priced in so we see all the value drop. Have patience! ATH will come again.

Hard to say but there is still room to grow on the LTC chart. You could also go for 50% sell to BTC if your in doubt and want to bet on both.

Since the price of bitcoin stops pumping high, i guess LTC are also over for now but it will continue again later this year. $200 is a small target for LTC, let’s also wait for the halving next month it can be the start of aiming high with LTC. I understand what you mean is a difficult situation, If look at your scenario and pattern you might buy an LTC unit at a BTC price of 0.014 up and now the price of LTC has drop to BTC 0.010 but the BTC market situation up rises. Well that's a difficult your situation dude, my advice you must be a HODL and wait for the LTC climb but the risk is high and market situation does't know where the product flows later.

You have the target of selling them at $200 then why you care about the satoshi value,just keep holding them until it reaches and I can assure that it will happen by few months later.
