There are really many of them, most of the time you will noticed that in your telegram there is someone will pm you a message and ask you something about until your conversation will goes to gambling site, that's for sure the person you are chatting with are scammers, so every time there is unknown person to your telegram block it at once.
Much better in order not to engaged with this kind of people, scammers are rounding and trying to find new victims, if you'll going to block them right away there's o chance for them to try having a good conversation to you and present their constructive lies, be very careful and observance make sure to deal only with people you really know.

In the last few days ago, I get a message in the Telegram from a strange person who offers me a way to earn litecoin by fast. He provides me a website about a double litecoin in just a few hours. Fortunately, I already get a bad experience with that, so I report his account in my telegram, and I hope that he will get a ban and never scam people again. Some people have already sent PM in my WhatsApp too, but I ignore them because I know that the scamming will try many ways to trick people.
I have experienced the same thing maybe three times now,at first my greediness gets interested but I asked a friend and he told me that it was a scam and don’t ever trust anyone in telegram that offering something that hard to resist so from that time forward all that sending me same thing was reported and blocked

Without anything specific never get into any of the telegram channels. These days Telegram channels play a big role in the marketing of projects as well different services related to cryptocurrency. Gambling too isn't an exception, so with this there are people who keep track of users and make them get into gambling and spend on some scam websites which will be owned by the scammer.

If you want to keep safe, better ask the guy who messages you to also message you on Bitcointalk do not deal with people who refuse to give his Bitcointalk account and don't believe him when he says that he has no account on Bitcointalk, investors and bounty hunters almost all had an account on Bitcointalk.
I can agree with this since most of the bounty campaigns are launched here on the forum so automatically they have a Bitcointalk account already. You can ask them to PM you using the user that posted the bounty campaign or the ANN thread.

Aside from this, the best thing to do is to just ignore the user and block them if you think they are scammers.

Ignore them is the key, don't be greedy if you heard higher returns then don't believe on that. Telegram is so easy to used for scamming, there's a lot of trolls on that spamming the group or what. Its good also to make your account more secure set your setting not to allow anyone to invite you on the group without your approval and also don't spend the money without any assurance.

If there is unknown someone appear on your telegram account just very simple, delete or block em at once.
So that you won't be a victim by them to the gambling site and never click it quickly too. Then, if they ask you any
amount or will tell you that you've won, better ignored it..

Would be nice to know what the exactly the name is of that Gambling site.
And if they have some kind of Users here on Bitcointalk too ,
and we can ask about the things or if there is a proof of that , we can tagg them or create a Flag to the Account.

i think its useless to tag them because they can always create another group or site to scam people again and again  . its no use to warn people because there are still hard headed people that will risk even if they already the know that the group or the site is risky  . its thier fault and we cant do anything about it  . scams and frauds can be easily detected if you are a wise and smart person  ,  i have been in the space for along time but i never got scammed  .
You must  have a free mind and that is why you have never be scam in cryptocurrency maybe through investing into a scam icos or into projects that the developers absolutely abandon! I have lose money in investing and I don’t think it deals with smartness or dullness but about risk. Remember that scammers are always smarter than any one and they know how to manipulate people’s mind.
In The area of tagging the scammers with reg or neg trust I think this forum fight many scammers through that and even though they are opening a new account we have see that if those accounts are find out the dt member do negative trust them too.

The problem starts to the user itself when they are believing everything that stranger says. They are entertaining it instead of blocking them and ignoring them.

It's the best solution to block them but sometimes we as users keep on entertaining them and we have time to talk with them. As you guys talk with them, you are starting to become gullible with everything they say because they all talk about money which is the weakness of most.

I had the same experience also. I was wondering why I had that channel. So whenever I have a new channel pop up that I haven't joined, I leave the group without digging much of that channel. If they are legit, they will not automatically add you. They will give you invite link and up to you if you will join or not. They are really targeting naive users and who are really noobs in these things.

if a Human being has a common sense then nobody is going to fall for this trap. This type of social engineering comes where around the Internet in this era and there is no use stopping them because only those people there for in this type of traps I like to make quick money easily this was different from those old scams with this I can double your money in 100 hours, this was just update developed but when someone is putting their money they have to know where they are going to put the money and what's the other cars doing it together and why in this process you cannot just believe in the other human words.

The guy is so fast to delete our conversation in telegram and block me, I think he's been doing this for a long time and already victimized people.

He will introduce himself as the owner of a gambling site [forgot the name of the gambling site also) he will invite you to invest in his gambling site and make you a winner of their dice game, the catch is you will divide the pot and send him 50% of the winning pot.

Sounds interesting, I asked him that he send me Bitcoin so I can deposit and do what he says, he told me that many people have already scammed him doing that, but when I ask him how old is the site, he told me that the gambling site is old and trusted one urging me to deposit now, but I told him I would fall to this because the site has no traffic when checking on Alexa..

If I made a deposit I'm pretty sure he will block me.

The guy blocked me I wish I  made a screenshot I was waiting for him to prove that the site is legit.

So beware there are so many scammers lurking there and this is one of their methods.

Well, trust no one that's the rule if you are here in the forum. Its hard to believe to someone on which you do not
know personally. Especially in social site like telegram were most of the time is the nest of the scammers to scam others.
Always ignore and block them if they try to send you message.

I laughed a bit with this statement of yours. There are some investors who have a common sense (at least a bit) but the problem is their are ignorant and what is on their mind is "how to grow their money in a quick and easy way". This mindset of some investors lead to them getting scammed. Being ignorant is the reason why they are scammed. Invest on books and videos first before investing your money in an actual investment.

Well, It starts also on the platform used by the suspected scammer, because it says on "TELEGRAM", what kind of person will acknowledge some stranger on telegram because it's so easy to create account on telegram, easy as 1,2,3 and just send some people random message and some fake proof about you offering something. The platform or medium used by the scammer to find some victim already the hint if they are legit or not.

But this is just only alarming for all, even you are newbie or not because if you are a newbie in crypto, you are not looking and interested in investing to a gambling site, I can say that you are much more interested to play on a gambling site.

That is reason why scammers still keep get what they want. We as human will always have our senses. But feel greedy and like what LogitechMouse said, nature of people who always want something easy and instant which make them take that shortcut and then regret about it.

I guess that someone from the same group you have been added you to that new channel. I think this what happens if you don't know the group but you will find out that you are into it not knowing on whom added you.

If you have seen that you have joined another group without your permission, just leave that group immediately before someone approaches you to ask for an unusual thing which can result to a scam attempt.

How did you get to start a conversation with the fellow in the first place probably he connected you through a group you are on.

Good question!

But if I would guess, the scammers might have harvested user ids from a public telegram group and sending out these texts or whatever it is they send trying to find people that will fall for their scams.

Side note, the easiest way to avoid these people is tighten your privacy settings to private messages from people not your friends.

Devs will not message you in telegram. Probably they see your account in the community of other platforms and will send you a PM. It's very unprofessional if they will do that and It's very obvious that its a shady action. It's easy to create a dummy account on telegram because you'll just buy a new number then register it to a telegram. Never trust people especially on a social media platform.
