How should have i called it? Bitcointalk-2014.org?

I don't feel like to have done anything wrong. It's the Bitcointalk community, on a nice domain, platform and server. It's what the bitcoin community deserves, but was unable to get due to (the lack of) administration.

We are not talking about a private for profit forum here. It's one of the major, if not the major, community center of the Bitcoin community.

This is what a forum experience is supposed to be like?! I feel a fool. Why the hell is it not this way over here? Easier on the eyes, rss, more statistical information presented at top level...

I feel like the younger sibling that got a sucker when the older sibling got a bowl of ice cream. With cherries.

But why using a commercial software?
This would render more difficult a possible (official) switch to this new board, I suppose.

I would be happy to gift a license along with my help if an official switch were to happen. Non commercial forum boards are mostly bogus, lacking features, and non maintained. Almost nothing can compete with the features and code quality of this board (that btw was created by Kier Darby, ex lead developer of vBulletin).

So the answer is simply "Why Not?"

If by last post of the thread you mean the first unread message (there is an extensive db side read tracking system), you should click the blue icon left of the thread title. You might need to be logged in for this function to work.



You can also find a "Go to First Unread" link inside the thread navigation. Unread posts are also marked as "New":



Btw, it looks like that the images proxy server @ Bitcointalk.org is currently down. You can check the thread on Bitcointa.lk to see them (we have an images proxy server as well there )

Changelog for today.

1) Fixed the non parsed urls; urls to matched content on bitcointalk.org/bitcoin.org are now converted to the proper page on Bitcointa.lk. (Example)
2) Bitcointa.lk can now be used to send post with special/accented characters. (Example)

The next on the todo is checking how posts are modified and removed on Bitcointalk.org to sync that as well.

Obviously it's 10x better then the .org theme, but you should modernize the XenForo default theme.

Thank you, but i think the design to be fine for now. I'm working under the hood, if we grow enough to require a quality and custom design, it will be in the future.

I got inspired yesterday and i finished the history thing this morning...
