That is really good news. I think it is a good thing for giants to accept payment with cryptocurrency, but most of them only accept payment with a few big coins like BTC, ETH, BCH, ... Besides, it seems They always have third parties to be ready to convert to fiat money on when there are payment transactions by cryptocurrency. So I hope they will accept more and more altcoins

We all hope that Bitcoin is generally accepted worldwide so we can be able to smile.
The countries that made bitcoin illegal is due to their unawareness. They still think that bitcoin is just used for illegal transactions but they don't look at the usage of their local currencies. Soon bitcoin will be accepted worldwide although we can assume it already today as a widely accepted crypto.

All Bitcoin holders are expecting the coin to gain full acceptance in countries so as to increase its community.
Massive adoption means massive demand and greater price.

I wonder how it will look in the future. For example, if a giant like Amazon wants it? I have a website which leads to Amazon and it would be cool to expand the possibilities of payment using this currency.
There some merchant on amazon which already receives cryptocurrency as their terms of payment. With that been said, cryptocurrency(BTC) has been used as an alternative payment option in some crypto friendly countries where bitcoin was already legalized and what we need now is more country to join the queue.

Crypto adoption is real! and Philippines is continuously working on it Smiley. There are already few businesses and services here in our country which are now accepting btc payments. If you like going to bars and enjoy the night life, Punta Mandala is the best for you; if you like to travel, Pinoy Travel was there etc. I'm just hoping that our crypto community grows even further by means of establishing even more businesses which accepts btc and also more investors starting to buy bitcoin.

It won't be a payment option any time soon.  Why?  Because Starbucks, etc do not want to hold Btc (or any other coin) rather than USD.  It would be some payment processor that does that, and no one wants to give away money in exchange for bitcoin if the value is going to go up and down like it does.  You could be rich one month and bankrupt the next.

I believe so - Cryptos will become more and more accepted as currency and payment options. I believe banks and companies will begin to create their own blockchain solutions to keep being in control while doing instant transfers whenever needed, and eventually, there will be some kind of regulations.

We hope that cryptocurrency can be used as payment in the future but I think it will not be easy because people who oppose the use of crypto are dominated by the government of a country. For now, crypto payment is an alternative option to compete with fiat money as time goes by, cryptocurrency will be accepted in several countries.

I know that the transactions are getting high and higher but I don't think the "world" is starting to accept it as you've said. I can say that since I am from a province that is not really interested in these kinds of technologies. They are fond or used to what they are now and if we will be talking about fast and easy transactions? They still choose online and mobile payments than crypto currencies.

your from a province but people on those place know how to use mobile payment ? thats cool and i believe that theres always a posibility that they will find crypto payments more better because cryptos can offer something new that you can find on older payment methods  .cryptos is only there available as an alternative medium and wont replace anything because cryptos still have its own disadvantages   .

Cryptocurrency is being adopted by some establishments but it is definitely not ready for mainstream adoption December 2017 to February 2018 is proof of that. As the next market rally begins, I hope history doesn't repeat itself in the form if astronomical charges and delayed transactions. I really don't think is ready for full scale adoption as an alternative means of payment yet.

Excess cryptocurrency is for payment as you say. The thriving Cryptocurrency will definitely have a new breakthrough to develop digital assets.

In addition, the crypto price of this coin is always changing and you will have more profit if the price rises. I am convinced that in some countries will develop this crypto for payment such as Hotel and online shopping payments.

Just a month ago, giants like Starbucks, Nordstrom, Whole Foods, and AT&T announced that they accept cryptocurrency as a payment option.
With the  popularity that cryptocurrency is growing there is no doubt that it will soon be among other payment methods. Especially for the international payments, with its ridiculously low fee and time taken for inter-border transfers it is surely the favorite among the traders.
Also, with giants accepting it as a payment option there is no other need to prove its authenticity.

Yes, many companies will accept bitcoin as payment methods because this giant or well- known company accept it so it means that the small company will follow their footsteps. There are some many opportunities that bitcoin can make and these payment methods are one of the best of bitcoin's capability.
Sadly starbuck in my area does not accept payment by crypto, maybe only in certain areas. Happy to hear that many giant merchants accept payments with bitcoin. it proves that bitcoin is appropriate to be used as a payment method. of course it will take a long time to see the use of crypto as easily as using fiat. because the regulation and adoption process is slow.

Crypto is already an alternative for the classical payment options. There are already a lots of merchants that accept Bitcoin.

What crypto needs is mass adoption but this process will take years.
the process can be fast or slow but sure
one of the factors that will certainly haunt the development of cryptocurrency to get mass adoption is the recognition of the government regarding regulation
and the settings regarding digital currencies that are not clear because even then some people will definitely think cryptocurency like money games

Do you own any cryptocurrency yet?

In some countries that have legalized cryptocurrency, it is already be an alternate payment option. Like you say, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Whole Foods, and AT&T and many other companies accept cryptocurrency as a payment option. But to make cryptocurrency be an alternate payment in various countries i think not very soon. Because according to me personally if cryptocurrency in a country is not yet legal, it will be a little difficult to accept crypto as an alternate payment method. But personally, I hope this payment method will be implemented soon in my country

The biggest pro of bitcoin is the cross border payment capabilities compared to traditional ones, but i dont see how it will be a game changer for most of the wealthy people . I mean a lot of wealth is concentrated in regions which do not need those payments, I see that those cross border payments are needed for large txs not for every day users.

But i see that alternate payment options is coming ( cryptos) , will it be popular enough, we will see.

Well in some part of the world ecosystem, cryptocurrencies are the preferred option for payment of goods and services but for mainstream use of cryptocurrencies as alternate payment option, its gonna take a long time. The decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies is the main reason behind the delay in the adaptation of it as an alternate payment option in the mainstream financial transactions.

Yes and on some platform cryptocurrency is used as payment 💸 but only that not all platforms have accepted using cryptocurrency as an alternative payment option due to its unstable nature in the price because the price you see now might not be the price you see later on it might either rise or drop
