I have a few questions
1. Is there away of approximately determining or calculating how big the bitcoin blockchain is right now in terms of all the data stored right from the beginning?

2. When syncing with the bitcoin network for the first time as one is setting up bitcore and the app is abruptly closed or computer is shut down. Can the syncing process be resumed or one has to restart the syncing right from zero on starting up bitcore?

1- if you just look for an estimate you can just multiply the average size of a block by the number of blocks?
2- if the blockchain is corrupted, you will get an error message and a suggestion about what you can do to repair it, but in most cases, the sync will continue.

Note: you can also "prune" the blockchain, that mean store only a limited number of blocks. Search for "pruning" options.

- bitcoin blockchain size is about 226 GB right now:

- If you are using bitcoin core to download the blockchain then it will resume from the point were it stopped, but you have to wait for the software to close properly.
