 Hi there.  Short update - looks like PIVX released solution for a fake-stake attacks, we are currently reviewing it and going to merge into TWINS & FIX codebase.   That would be mandatory update and a protocol change.  Hopefully, the same update will also include long-waited Multi-Tier masternodes.

For those who purchased the early adopter FIX SIM cards, we originally estimated the date of delivery as the end of September, 2019. We are on the leading edge of the development of cryptography that is required for the next generation of blockchains, such as NEM’s Catapult. The current SIM hardware available to us is unsatisfactory for supporting advanced hashing algorithms natively, and our original plan for overcoming this limitation was to embed a custom software module in the SIM card.

However, during our research for the right manufacturer of the FIX SIM, we came across an exciting opportunity that promises enhanced cryptographic capabilities that are natively supported by the card. The potential of this advancement is significant, and we expect to be able to greatly reduce our development and support efforts using this new technology. This next generation SIM is potentially capable of handling more advanced cryptography and will provide extended future proofing for blockchain support using the embedded hardware processor and the latest native software modules. We have just received the SIM samples and are excited to start testing the capabilities of this very impressive hardware. We will be able to share the results with you within a week or two, and then will have to make a decision on our next steps.

The delivery of this new SIM technology is estimated to be in the second quarter of 2020 or sooner. As a matter of principal, we would still like to honour our original schedule for providing our early adopters with FIX SIM cards. However, given the compelling opportunity at hand, it now makes sense to review our pledge and ask for your opinions and input.  Vladimir has lounched our own testnet based on NEM Catapult software + web wallet service + Blockchain explorer. We are testing all these components by doing transactions, creating namespaces, mosaisc (tokens) as well as playing with NEM SDK anf REST API functions

I tested it, I haven’t seen anything like it before .. A small drawback is that you cannot copy a mnemonic phrase, you must write down the words.

The FIX team is still in progress testing the new SIM samples, so far looking very promising, with SHA512 being computed 190 times faster on this hardware! However, looks like the ed25519 (required for catapult) could be a major issue to implement if not supported natively. It will take some more time to explore this with the vendor, therefore, we are not yet ready to make any decision commitment nor final email communication. Patience please...

Community members have been called upon to vote on what they want with regards to the delivery of already purchased FIX sim cards. Although pre-purchased sims were scheduled to be delivered by the end of September, the team discovered some exciting opportunities that promise “enhanced cryptographic capabilities” while searching for manufacturers for the FIX sim. The new sim tech should be ready by the second quarter of 2020. Because of this, there are considerations to delay the delivery of the pre-purchased sims.

Community members can vote on three options, each with its pros and cons. First, the network can continue with its plan of producing and delivering already purchased sims. Once the tech is out, new sims will be sent to customers at no cost. The second option is to wait until the new sim tech is ready by Q2 2020 before sending out the sims.              The New Capital Community Exchange to introduce a marketplace for masternode hosting platforms



At New Capital, we are committed to promoting the Internet of Value and to advancing the user experience, security and safety in the use of digital assets. Earlier in 2019 we introduced the Community Exchange, which is our first step in building win.win — a true DEX, that will provide a safe, independent, peer-to-peer platform for the exchange of value. In this highly competitive industry, we must offer significant advantages to the users and industry participants in order to achieve our goals of attracting communities with great projects, gain a critical user base mass and generate liquidity, that will be migrated to the win.win DEX in the future.
With this in mind, a logical extension of the Community Exchange is to provide a user-friendly and seamless service that allows users to send crypto directly from the Community Exchange to staking pools and shared or cold masternode hosting providers.
The major advantage of this idea is the automatic configuration, activation and management of masternodes with a single push of a button, with the user having an option of choosing any of the listed service providers. This feature of the Community Exchange will present an extensive set of API’s that will be available for integration by masternode hosting service providers. Moreover, the security of the services and the identity of the participants will be managed by the upcoming FIX ID service by FIX Network, another transformative project supported by New Capital. The FIX ID authentication protocol will soon be implemented into the Community Exchange, and will be a mandatory protocol to be used by all service providers who would like to participate in this marketplace.
At this stage, New Capital is considering a number of options as to how users will pay for masternode hosting services. These options include the possibility of New Capital charging for services and then reimbursing the service providers, as well as the facility of automatic crypto-exchange account top-ups of the service providers directly from the Community Exchange.
The first three participants in this marketplace will be Trittium (trttNodes), Crypos and NodeHub.io. The participation of these recognized and trusted providers of shared and cold masternode hosting services together with their extensive base of active users will be invaluable in assisting us to define the required API calls and processes, and ensure automated integration with the Community Exchange. In anticipation of the launch of this masternode marketplace, the TRTT coin used by Trittium to charge for hosted cold nodes has been already listed on the Community Exchange as a TRTT/TWINS pair.
This marketplace will provide both end-users and masternode hosting service providers with significant advantages. End-users will have access to shared and cold masternodes at the touch of a button, eliminating complex masternode setup and maintenance procedures. In addition, because multiple hosting providers will be listed, users will be able to distribute their crypto portfolio over a number of service providers, reducing risk of losing funds and network rewards, increasing redundancy and improving decentralization of blockchain networks.
For the service providers, this marketplace will provide visibility and a new and effective customer acquisition channel, presenting a single forum where a community of crypto enthusiasts can access services with a simplified and seamless user experience. These providers will also benefit from the FIX ID solution that will improve the user experience, security, personal data privacy compliance, and deliver a direct and secure communications channel between the service provider and the FIX ID user.
