So for the last 18 months I have held, gambled, bought and exchanged some BTC mostly through this forum. (I HATE PAXFUL AND FEES). Anyways I have won lost, and just at points had to sell my coins for emergency funds and etc.

Well just a couple weeks ago I had around .02 BTC (thats alot for me) well my washer and dryer has been having issues. My dryer proceeded to go and break on me and I had to sell my .02 to buy a used dryer, I spent $30 in gas and $75 on the dryer and when I got home the used dryer I bought is broken and the guy who sold it hasnt aswered my phone call in a month...

Well anyways I sold my .02 for around $140 at the time roughly 1 month ago give or take. And since then it has went up over $100 in value... smh

Am i just unlucky or does the bitcoin market follow my transaction history and only pump when I am out?Huh

I really just wish I never sold I would still have a broke dryer and .02...The price has went up so high that I now cannot afford to invest. My mother was just diagnosed with stage 4 COPD and Emphazema and was just put on Hospice home health. So I am currently unemployed taking care of her. Its a struggle everyday.. I seriously am starting to wonder if btc is just bad luck for me. I once owned 3 BTC when an (unnamed website was shut down) I lost it all and since that day. Have never made it back.. I am now a proud owner of around 850 satoshis... ( so any ideas on how I can earn a little simple btc would be appreciated)...

But to finish my post. Does BTC price rise or fall when you sell. And since you have been dabbling in Crypto have you become more /less successful. I want to hear your stories. I think all BTC has ever done for me is gotten my funds stolen multiple times lol. But man do I love it.

(I know not to leave my funds on exchange but I am broke I cannot afford spending 6 to $10 just to be able to withdraw my BTC every other day, usually when I am trading it's usually only 50 to $100 as its all I can afford. I lose money withdrawing and depositing every other day between withdraw fees and BTC fees It eats up $100 quick)....

Give me your thoughts!

I also experience that and I think its normal, i sold my BTC before (last 2017 bull run), on the price of $16000 and after that the price continues to rise above $19k and yeah i miss more dollars because of that. The worst scenario when I bought bitcoin at $10k level and it drops up to $3k. Haha. Its not a mistake but an over confident about the price of bitcoin, at least we learned a lot from that, but of course it will happen again and we know what to do now.

Whenever you are selling, you are still acquiring some form of profit at the end of the day. No one can accurately predict the value of BTC at any point of time. If you feel sad about selling your BTC quickly, imagine what this guy felt after selling his stash.

https://qz.com/1285209/bitcoin-pizza-day-2018-eight-years-ago-someone-bought-two-pizzas-with-bitcoins-now-worth-82-million/

Shit happens. You just need to be happy with your profits and move forward.

Selling and buying bitcoins does not do much effect to the price if you are not considered as a whale or a hoarder. A friendly advice from me is that you should find a stable job so that you can support your daily financial needs. Bitcoin is always a gamble which is why many people consider it risky thus, providing more support that bitcoin should not be the main source of your income. Nonetheless, I would also like to share my experience when I was stuck in a situation in which I had to sell 0.05 bitcoin when the market was bearish.

Bitcoin was pretty much price stagnant for a good amount of time already, I'd say a bit too long. A price increase/drop was just right around the corner and it just so happens that it increased.

I really just wish I never sold I would still have a broke dryer and .02...The price has went up so high that I now cannot afford to invest.
? ? ?
You can still buy $5 worth of bitcoin right now. Never understood the "price is too high for me to afford to invest" reasoning. If you think Bitcoin is going to stop at $11,000 then you crazy.

But to finish my post. Does BTC price rise or fall when you sell.
If you're looking at the short term, it's pretty much a gamble. A coinflip. So as expected, you're going to get mixed answers. But as always, the long-term holders are the ones who wins.

This experience isn't only for you but other people as well including. Whenever I sell, I'm not thinking if it will go up or down as long as I've sold then that's decided and no regrets will happen as long as I keep my fund for long term holding safely.

I take profit so that's enough for me to consider not thinking about the price anymore with those bitcoins that I've sold. Regret will just make you think a lot of things and doubt yourself. I'm praying for the fast recovery of your mother so that you can start working and have some again.

Everything happens for a reason, you just have to accept it. Recently my wife was hospitalized I sold my .0438 BTC fro 250 dollars on an exchange, then after a month 200 dollars should have been 600 or more, and I nearly cried but that's life. Some important things are meant to be done in order for us to survive in the real world or our loved ones. So it is a matter of the situation you are currently in, if you got problems then you should solved it immediately if you are able to, and that is what you did.

People don't have enough patience, especially not those with less experience. I've been with Bitcoin six years now and that thought me a lot. I also made mistakes but important is that I also learned from them a lot.
The most important thing is that you have your own strategy and goal you want to achieve and stick to that. Experienc will come along the way but this is not the first or the last time you feel that you should have done exactly the opposite.

I have experienced this several time and I don't know why it happens that way. I think it is a coincidence because the value I do sell sometime are insignificant to create any changes in bitcoin pricing.  we should hold more than selling as this is what stregthen Bitcoin and its market. A time is come were we would be mostly use bitcoin to purchase goods and pay for services and by then we would only concern ourselves with it purchase power and not the returned we get buy holding it. I believe in this future and that is why I will keep holding the major part of my Bitcoin for long terms .

For some people even so small amounts mean a lot in life, for others 0.02 BTC is not big money at current price. It makes no sense to feel bad if you sell some coins because you needed the money, bitcoin is changing value all time.

Devawnm367, you sold at $7000 and you should be happy for that, what if your washer and dryer is broken a few months earlier? The amount you sell would be almost half then you get it recently, so consider yourself happy in some way.

Really bad luck is that you lost 3 BTC before, this is really nice amount of money today, but you're not the only one to whom this happened.

I am using Bitcoin price forecasts made by the Indians. They are very good, use this website

https://longforecast.com/bitcoin-price-predictions-2017-2018-2019-btc-to-usd

they update the Bitcoin price forecast every day.

Well I can't really say that it has been bad for me because I have earned a lot from it and it has been my  source of income for so long.
So for me even though the marker had faced so many problem the crypto gave me a way to earn more and spend more time freely so it has been good to me.

That bad situation can actually make you as your advantage, traders are working hard to timing the market and they don't let any emotion to decide for them. Its ok if you sell right now but after that the price pumps to the peak, because you can always buy at any level and set your new selling price level. I also have experiences like this, and its more than worth it because as long as you have profit, you can still go further.

You are just unlucky man. I also needed to convert some of my stash to FIAT because I need to pay someone, so I did last Sunday (my local time), luckily it was at the highest that time around $13200 if I'm not mistaken.

So I took care of business, clean my room and then I forgot that I needed to liquidate again because of some dues. Unfortunately, when I come back the dump had started (up to now), so I just what the f**k. So I didn't sell though, just have to find other ways to settle and work my due payments out.

If Bitcoin was good for someone they surely tend to have a good life with sure financial freedom at hand and that is because they are pretty used to this kind of market and environment, And if Bitcoin is Bad for them that is the time someone has a pretty negative experience towards it, And maybe fraud by some people that have to introduce it as an investment scheme, I guess that is mostly what is happening in this kind of market,

And for me, Bitcoin is pretty neutral in my case, I am not in the borderline of being Rich and not in the Borderline of getting nothing with it, Pretty much I only have financial freedom towards it and I am OK with it, And if given a chance in getting big in this bull run then why not.

I feel you, I just had that experience recently when I think the price will go down so I sell some of my coins but then few days after it went up and it continues to go up, I really regretted it. Bitcoin price is very unpredictable that is why we can't really determine when it will rise or go down, I think it might have something to do with luck as well.

I think it's more of a fate thing rather than bitcoin's thing to screw us over, or at least you in this case. There really are cases in which regrets will get the better of us since we will be constantly thinking that we have sold too early or too late. Do remember that nothing is ever constant in any market around the world, and the world does not revolve around you, so the notion that the market just screws us over and over is just wrong. Perhaps we can say that, but then again, regret and self-loathing would lead to nothing but just a bad feeling. That's why one should never let emotions get the better of them when trading, because it just often leads to bad calls and loss of money, so yeah, don't feel bad. Some of the 2010 guys who sold @ $1/coin are perhaps bummed about it right now and had it worse.

I feel you, I just had that experience recently when I think the price will go down so I sell some of my coins but then few days after it went up and it continues to go up, I really regretted it. Bitcoin price is very unpredictable that is why we can't really determine when it will rise or go down, I think it might have something to do with luck as well.
What make things like this? It is because we have some doubts and troublesome in the future, we can't predict the market actually and that is why we've been caught sometimes in the wrong timing. But I won't felt regrettable cause we are also earning some gains not unless if we got nothing or even lose our funds.
