Bounty thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5157364.0

When I tried to scan the website,

Virustotal has detected the website as "malicious" by Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, is this a false positive? I'm not an expert and I'm afraid to download their wallet so maybe someone can shed some light because I'm seeing some members who have been carrying their signature already.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I can confirm same result from VirusTotal, and it can be false positive since only one AV engine is detect this site as malicious. I check theirs ANN thread which is self-moderated, and it is somewhat suspicious. My AV and antimalware do not detect anything bad on the page, and you can always download wallet and scan it before install.

Nevertheless my personal opinion is that some untrusted wallets should not be tested on device where user is have any other important desktop wallets.

The domain also appears to be blacklisted by McAfee, but is coming up clean from Google, Norton, and all others. McAfee states the site is "not as secure as it should be", but it doesn't give any elaboration on that: https://www.siteadvisor.com/sitereport.html?url=devault.cc

I ran all their downloadable wallet files through Kaspersky and VirusTotal online scans, and they didn't flag up anything (not that that means they are definitely clean). Anyone thinking about downloading any unknown application should be doing so in a sand-boxed environment, virtual machine, or even a separate machine, to protect your device and data.

whether it's a safe wallet or not, looks like some of their participants are having a hard time claiming their supposed rewards.
probably not a worthy bounty to join in.

I tried their wallet and got no problem with it. As for the bounty, you need to fill up the "claiming form" on a daily basis (assuming you post daily) in order to receive the rewards.
I already claimed 3 times but so far only received payment once.

We have someone managing payouts for the Bounty on a nightly basis who was busy for a day, relax folks.

And every single crypto wallet ever made throws SOME kind of error in SOME form of antivirus early on.

Download from github only, it is 100% safe.

Update. For some reason, when I ran their wallet this morning, it got removed by my AV. Don't know if it's a false positive; I then just proceeded by uninstalling their wallet.
Left their signature campaign now.

This is a false positive. It happens with most crypto wallets.

Can I ask what is suspicious about the ANN thread? It is moderated because most of the volunteers and team members come from the old days of Darkcoin/Dash, and we all have been through the bullshit of trolls bombarding the thread. It is tiresome and for the most part a waste of time. I agree that some untrusted wallets should n ot be installed on any other important desktop wallets.

The domain also appears to be blacklisted by McAfee, but is coming up clean from Google, Norton, and all others. McAfee states the site is "not as secure as it should be", but it doesn't give any elaboration on that: https://www.siteadvisor.com/sitereport.html?url=devault.cc

All great advice. Except McAfee... I mean McAfee is the biggest virus out there... so not even sure why anyone would trust it.

Every reward was paid today, and then some. I am handing payouts, I run a full time construction business, so I try  my best to make payments often, but cant always. Not only have all payouts been paid but every participant, even the impatient ones who quit the bounty, were given an extra 1000 DVT today, out of my personal DVT holdings. Every single participant will be paid, just be patient, I am not a god with a thousand arms and I need to live life.

Actually anybody and everybody who wants to know what was "put into their code" can check it because it is opensource,  https://github.com/devaultcrypto/devault - I understand the concern, I don't trust wallets either, but lets refrain from making asinine comments that are completely false. If you can't read code maybe you shouldn't be downloading any core wallets, or any wallets for that matter. If you can read code why don't you go look at he github and see "what they put in the code".

I highly recommend installing a virtual machine or using sandboxie for any wallets you don't trust or if you can't read code.

Yes, of course but how many people read the code before installing it? I bet is less than 1%.

went to BCT and posted some FUD.
What FUD? I was simply stating what was obvious; payments are late. You even acknowledge that it was your mistake and not those who quit the signature campaign.

I certainly did not ask you to do that. What's with the attitude?

Doesn't negate my facts.

Seriously?

You came to the discord, you claimed you could help with campaigns, you ignored anyone who spoke to you. You participated in the bounty, you get upset and leave discord and bounty, because payments were late. I watched this entire thing happen, just look at your current signature. You want free money, no problem, but seriously, lower your expectations and learn some patience (yes I am serious, very very serious).

Yes. I did that. I offered on helping making devault's twitter page get more followers by maybe running a campaign for it, but one guy responded that maybe I should just create a new twitter for dvt.
So thought that was the end of the discussion.
You participated in the bounty, you get upset and leave discord and bounty, because payments were late. I watched this entire thing happen, just look at your current signature.
You're just assuming things based on what you see? Part of the reason that I left was because the payment was late, I was actually thinking that payment "may" never even get sent.
But the very reason I left was because the wallet mysteriously disappeared on my desktop when I ran it. Which is why I stated that "maybe" it was my AV.
How on earth would I be able to participate if I don't have the wallet?
I went into discord thinking maybe I could ask someone in that group for help.
But then some guy is already blabbering about how some participants are complaining and spreading FUD.
Seeing that is how the devault team perceives complaints from their participants instead of solving the problem, got me thinking you guys don't care at all.
So I left the discord group and then proceeded on uninstalling the wallet. Left the signature campaign.
You want free money, no problem, but seriously, lower your expectations and learn some patience (yes I am serious, very very serious).
Why are you guys so butthurt to those people who left the campaign anyway?
Well, it's your project so have it your way. Goodluck.
(No longer responding to any of your "patience" BS). Ignored.
