If you trust that the general trend would continue (year to year price increase despite fluctuations) then what are you waiting for?
Most likely they are waiting for a miracle and that somehow many bitcoins appear on their wallet, I know it sounds ridiculous but very few people want to go through the trouble of accumulating bitcoin over the years since it takes a lot of effort to do so, first you need to earn fiat, then you need to reduce your spending to save some of it and then you need to buy bitcoin and if that was not enough now you need to keep holding it for years despite the price fluctuations.

When you come to understand all of this it is easy to get why so many people prefer to keep complaining than to do something about it, complaining is many times easier than it is to try to increase the amount of bitcoin we are holding.

I agree, that's the most ridiculous reason one would not buy.  Grin

I'd like to think that those people really trust bitcoin and would like to have a large amount but can't due to financial reasons and are hoping it crashes hard so they can buy more than they can afford now.
In February the price of bitcoin was still very affordable since it was below 4000 and at that time many refused to buy bitcoin because its price has been decreasing for more than a year, people are always going to try to find an excuse to not buy bitcoin, they do not want to go through the risk of losing money while holding their coins and while I understand their fears since there is a possibility of losing money we know that the longer you hold your coins the greater the chances of making profits.

This is why I agree with those that recommend to buy bitcoin whenever you have some fiat in hand, because even if you were to buy bitcoin at an expensive price if you hold long enough your profits are almost assured.

Yeah, I remember that, since where Bitcoin is just the range of $450 were still the again faucet, Chapcha Mrai (Xrb now), and the rampant Hyip.
I remember the moment to look for a gift very easy but only a few gained. Try my first not to sell my bitcoins and sell them in the present time hahaha Grin

For $651~ you could of got yourself a shiny whole bitcoin on coinbase plus their $6.66 fee.
I wouldnt of mind paying this fee on top regardless.
Even if they were asking 10% of the purchase amount at the time which is probably more by now. Wink

It is really possible but we cannot do anything about it anymore. Before, the value of bitcoin was very low but now, it cannot be bought easily by a normal person. There are a lot of stories about people being instant rich as they have bought bitcoin way back when the price was still low. You can still be one of them but it would require a lot of work right now since the value is very high and keeps on growing still although there are still instances where it goes down.

We are all not forecasters who know the certainty of the development of bitcoin at the time. I was not even sure myself that bitcoin would touch the price of 1,000 $. But I was surprised at its highest point of 2017. We all do not think that development is very fast and the price increase is happening so fast in the past 5 years. If there was a time machine I would repeat it to buy bitcoin in large quantities. even though the money was the result of loan  Cheesy LOL

Know what? I joined this forum back in 2012. And back then, the exchange rate was somewhere between $5 and $10 per coin. A lot of people used to complain that a few months back, the prices used to be around $0.10 per coin and Bitcoin has become too expensive. I purchased my coins at that time, and despite all those complaints, it still gave me almost 1,000x returns (100,000%).

And by mid-2013, the prices increased to $260 per coin. Then the guys were complaining that the prices used to be in single digits in 2012. And imagine what happened when the prices shot up to $1260 per coin by December 2013.

Then for a while things were relatively calm. And it went on till 2017, when Bitcoin suddenly spiked to $20,000 per coin. And after that the OP posted this thread....  Grin
Brings back a lot memories. What good times they were when bitcoin was available at almost free of cost and yeah, people thought that rate to be a way too expensive for bitcoin. And honestly, most of us never imagined bitcoin to gain this much value. It is good to see that you are an early bird and got huge rewards. You deserved them. I also believe that bitcoin still has a lot to show and it makes people rich beyond imagination.

That time was very precious for the investors as the price of bitcoin was nothing as compare to today’s price, and the investors of that time will be very rich today but the problem at that time was that nobody believe that bitcoin will go to sky that is why a lot of the investors ignored bitcoin and I think now they will be very sad about this.

This picture is reminiscent of sadness and regret.
If you didn't sell it then, its value is now 9,100 $. And you had a 1400% profit but we can't bring that memory back and we will never see it again because it will only give us the regretful and sad memories.
We may have the opportunity to be wealthy today if we do not sell our bitcoins, but we do not know enough in those days and we need money for our daily needs so maybe it is not time for us to get rich. But now that we know it we are not going to waste this chance to buy more bitcoin because someday this event will happen again and it will make us happy.

But we cannot blame ourselves if we don't have the future in our eyes to see how bitcoin will be. What is important is when we sell our bitcoin to a value that makes us happy, there's no regret on it even though in reality this is quite a lost chance. If we really are sad on our decision from the past, then we can change it by trusting to bitcoin again, not everyone in the world knows bitcoin yet, adoption is the key to good market price. And since we are now still in an early years of bitcoin, we can still save and change our regretful decisions into hope.

Good old days! Never expect for Bitcoin’s price to increase so rapidly. Now that I think how I spent my bitcoins to the days where it is significantly cheap compared today, I regret it LOL. Should have hold it long enough to maximize profit but then again when I try to remember it I spent it with a smile on my face and it is quiet fulfilling where I spent it also.

Oh.. your case is not an isolated one. Back in 2015 and 2016, I also sold a large part of my coins for fiat. Back then, the exchange rate was around $200 per coin and if someone came to me and told that Bitcoin will rise by 100x in three years, I would have definitely ridiculed him. To be honest, no one expected Bitcoin to rise by so much, so fast. And hopefully by 2022 or 2023, we'll be here in this forum discussing how low were the prices in 2018/19, when the exchange rate was around $3,000 per coin.  Grin

I agree, that's the most ridiculous reason one would not buy.  Grin

I'd like to think that those people really trust bitcoin and would like to have a large amount but can't due to financial reasons and are hoping it crashes hard so they can buy more than they can afford now.
even though there was a terrible crash, I don't think they would have the courage to buy it in large quantities, many were afraid to buy when it crashed. and under these conditions, bitcoin does not increase in price. their fear seemed to lack confidence in the development of bitcoin later

The thing is, whenever crashes happen, people get disheartened. Especially if it's really slow to recover. Some even thought it was the end after the price "crashed" after the ATH (more like correction).

I've seen people I know who was into crypto earlier than me start having doubts. During really low plunges, people find it risky to buy for fear of it just going lower. But then again, Fortune favors the bold.  Wink

Knowing about bitcoin back then would not have made any difference for many people, I remember that when I first bought a little bit of bitcoin the price was below 200 and it is easy to think that if I had bought at that price using all my savings then my financial future will be bright and you are right but I had no way to know what will happen next, only the most bullish and positive investors in the market imagined that bitcoin could reach a price of 20000 so soon.

There were many that were convinced bitcoin will never touch 1000 again and they were completely sure we were in a bubble when the price reached 2000 and yet the price kept going up, so forget about that and concentrate and what you can do now to improve your financial future by buying bitcoin.

Most of us made the mistake of not taking Bitcoin seriously when we first heard about it. For example, the first time I heard about Bitcoin was in mid-2011, when Wikileaks started accepting Bitcoin for donations. Back then I had hardly any idea about the technology behind it and I didn't thought about the possibility of BTC increasing in value. After all, how can a currency act as an investment asset? It was only in 2014 that I decided to invest in Bitcoin. And by then the prices had risen to $600 per coin from just $6.00.

Really good screenshot, I think a lot of people on this forum remember this wonderful moment. Honestly, I remember bitcoin approximately $200 a coin, and I regret didn't buy any of that coins at that time.

I believe that many of us periodically think of that time the OP mentions. Even more not about the time 1 btc was 600 USD but much less ,below 100 usd. Just imagine inevesting 1000 usd at the time when btc was 100. Easy at least x100 ROI.

I once couldn't believe that I had the chance to buy Bitcoin at $300. I was there, looking at that prie for days because we were sitting there day after day trading at sub $300 after falling from $600 months before and I thought to myself that it's not worth it. Every month Bitcoin was losing value and I had some coins that bought for $600 and thought to myself i'm already in deep shit. I wasn't going to sell but wasn't going to make my situation worse by buying more because what if next month it fell to sub $200?

Long story short I didn't buy. Could have been worse, could have sold everything for $300 and regret it even more. I'm fine with what I did but there will always be that thought lingering in my head "what if?".

Every one can't believe with bitcoin price years by year, maybe if you share with bitcoin price of facebook always how us at year with how bitcoin price before, get much profit if you can save bitcoin for long term. I know with bitcoin when price still under $200 and I never want to hold bitcoin as investment assets for the future, now looking how bitcoin increase very disappointed why not buy bitcoin before.

We all made a mistake and I have no problems admitting it, but in my defence I did not had the right knowledge or the experience to know what bitcoin will become, if I remember correctly I did not began to take bitcoin seriously until the end of 2016 if I had take bitcoin seriously just one or two years before my life will be very different.

But now I know better and I am not going to make the same mistake twice I am taking bitcoin seriously and I am waiting for my opportunity to multiply it and when it appears I will take advantage of it.

I really cannot believe that bitcoin will be attain on this very huge price because way back 5 years ago bitcoin is just around $700 in which you can already buy it even your not that rich because this $700 is not that high compare to its market value right now that $9,000. I remember the day when someone post in twitter that he don't want bitcoin because bitcoin will not last that long and bitcoin will never be have a good and better value in the near future, but look right now what bitcoin achieve. Bitcoin becomes the mainstream of the cryptocurrency in which it becomes $19,000 way back december 2017, who knows that bitcoin will grow this big? No one knows that it will become this huge enough.

BIG WINNER!

no wonder there is a meme say that there is 4 heaviest objects in this universe.

1. Sun
2. Neutron stars
3. Black holes
4. Your regrets

you will never accept the fact that you have been in the position where you can buy bitcoin as much as 10000 bitcoin and supposed to be a billionaire by now , but you missed that chance as you don't believe in bitcoin.
don't do that , regret will not change you to be better in the future , forget the past .

do buy bitcoin now before it fly to $500000 and you can not afford to get even 0.01 bitcoin!
