I am willing to place my personal ameritrade account with a little more than $200k as a guarantee for a bitcoin loan.

I can answer everything you ask.

Ask ameritrade for a loan then. That account is not a valid collateral here.

Ok, let's ask some things here. First of all, can you withdraw this amount from there? And if yes, can you deposit the money in any other bank account?
You understand that the lender or the escrow, needs to have the full control of the collateral that you offer and act accordingly.

I'm also pretty sure that you can reclaim your account there by just contacting "Supporrt", so you can't consider it as a Valid collateral.

Then take out a margin loan with them. No one is going to use an account as collateral. Really its not even if someone does take it you can claim it was hacked, get the account back and run off with both the coins and your suppose $200k. If you really need a loan, apply and take out a margin loan, or take your money to a bank and get a secure loan. If you dont have valid collateral that is 120% of what youre seeking, you should go on and just close this thread.

It seems Op is a mature person with large capital handling experience but when it comes to asking a loan herein Bitcointalk the "maturity" gets lost somewhere...

Asking loan here looks like an old habit of OP.
