The creator of BAT have does a quite good job in technologies but BAT don't have much to offer for the cryptocurrency community cause the token only used as advertisement payment, it also tackle fraud and opaqueness in digital advertising and was also built on the Ethereum platform why not invest in the mother (ETH) that give birth to it which also have the best community support.

ETH is the best option. Hope your bro have already invest in BTC.

Ethereum has a bigger potential than BAT as it is needed to participate in ICO. But now, some companies prefer IEO and ETH is a little less used. But ETH is still the best altcoin.

Most people here might recommend ETH over BAT. That is understandable because ETH is the leading altcoin of all time. They may be right but if I were you, tell your brother to give a little portion of his planned investment amount to BAT, perhaps $1000 or more. BAT has Brave, a browser that is definitely a next generation product. And BAT is not just your ordinary token. It has consistently remained at the top 50. There is also profit in it for sure. And it is always better to diversify.

yes i feel the same that ETH is best bet for next bull run, but then have heard BAT might be able to give 10x gains next bull run easily since I feel BAT is a new token and can rise I.e 0.3$ to around 3-3.50$ in the next bull run which is considered to be an achievable target. On the other hand ETH 300$x 10=3000$ which seems like a bit difficult . What do you think? I might be wrong in term of speculations here but we are looking for considerably 10-20x profit in next bull run.

Or are there any other Altcoins in top 50 capable of 10-20x growth potential next bull run??

- can't decide
- are new to the cryptocurrency market
- have little to no experience in trading
- have little to no experience about pump and dumps
- want to invest a large amount of money
then you should stay away from altcions because the altcoin market is extremely risky and highly manipulated making it impossible for someone without experience to make any profit in it.

invest in bitcoin if you like and do that with a smaller amount in my opinion because of being new.

If you only need to choose one, I would recommend Ethereum since it's in the number 2 spot now and usually big and more popular coin will lead the bull run. Though BAT is also a great project, but try to analyze its's current value now and compare it to the price it has reached during the last bull run.

Both ETH and BAT are top good Altcoins. However, ETH is still used more commonly and it is more popular than BAT so ETH is a better choice. I think you can invest in both, even add a few other altcoin.

for me i have $15000 and if i confused to choose between ethereum and BAT

Ethereum might be a good choice rather than having to choose another coin that might not have potential, I think right now don't take the risk of cryptocurrency. must remain more selective and analyze research further before investing.

Great suggestions and explanation mate ethereum is the best to buy now now before too late because bitcoin start to become expensive. Amd to the OP I suggest if ypu didn't holding bitcoin put the half of the money to buy bitcoin and the half is invest in ethereum both are good investment.

As an investor, you must know how to diversify your capital.

For me, instead of picking one of those coins its better if you will just invest into both of them but a larger percentage of your money will go to ETH. Aside from this 2 coins, pick also top coins like Bitcoin and Litecoin to invest if you are a holder.

My more on ethereum and rest for bat or you can try to put bitcoin as another option too. I guess with the possibility of altcoin can give you more profit in short term and you should take wise decision by put less to the altcoin like BAT and put more on the major coin like ethereum and bitcoin.

He has not made the wrong decision, just that the amount he is proposing to invest in just one coin is too much for the risk that is always available in the cryptocurrency space. These two coins are very great for investments, especially on a long term investment project, but we still have other coins too that are doing perfectly fine and all have very sound and quality team/product.

If I was the one with such amount of money, I will share it into certain ration or percentage. In percentage, maybe 30 goes to bitcoin, 30 for Ethereum, and the remaining 40 for other potentials coins that are in the market. Most especially the top 15 coins that are in the coin market cap, they have very useful product and their strategies in developing the product has been perfect.

IMO divide it into 2 parts, 60% to ETH and 40% to BAT, also there are some good coins which can be considered. Personally, I'll never put all eggs in a single basket. Good Luck
