This is just a thought ,what would have happened if the first crypto coin from satoshi was ethereum ? I'm sure ETH will be the most  favoured digital currency just like bitcoin is today.

And ETH would have been the bullrun driver and many altcoins will always favour since ETH is the key ,just imagine if ETH is 11,000$ ? Many altcoins would have been exploding in value presently

This thread should be on the speculation section, but you have known the answer to your question. But remember if that happens and ethereum will have the same configuration as bitcoin and ethereum have not had a smartcontract that already used by so many platforms right now

No. The first coin would have been still (a) Bitcoin, but it would have had smart contracts.

What would have happened then? Well, the code would have been cleaner and better maintained, some things would have been thought better so certain token hacks would have not been happening, no ETH/ETC split also... all in all possibly the coin price would have been bigger. But Bitcoin also deserves a much higher price and still doesn't have it.
I can't imagine people playing the kitty game on main net though 

On the other hand, Bitcoin has counterparty, which is not used as much as it could, Bitcoin allows side chains and colored coins... somehow not as attractive for the community as playing with Ethereum tokens. So who knows...

despite what you think bitcoin is not far far ahead because of it being first, it is ahead because it is an excellent decentralized currency that is doing exactly that it was meant to do. not to mention that bitcoin wasn't even the first cryptocurrency! there were some other projects that came before bitcoin which didn't even reach production and usage let alone grow because they were flawed.

besides Satoshi would have never created a coin like ethereum because he had a vision and certain principles that ethereum does not have. principles such as decentralization and deflationary currency which ETH with its huge premine and ICO and unlimited supply and roll backed blockchain can never have.

in fact i am almost certain that if a coin like ETH were created before bitcoin, it would have died within 2-3 months and would have never even reached a value to want to grow. the fact that it has grown this much so far is thanks to bitcoin and the people who come in for BTC and are fooled into investing in ETH.

Yeah if that would have been the case Eth would have easily been the king of all the coins but still i think eth is number one choice of serious investors and holders and pitential upside for eth is still huge.

Ethereum would have been the number one coin but it would not have been as dominant as bitcoin.
The principles behind Bitcoin and Ethereum are much different so are their intentions.
I don't wanted to say it but the crypto market would have been much more advanced and competitive if satoshi had invented Ethereum inspite of Bitcoin.

In my own view if ethereum was the first crypto ever released in bitcoin place it would have been dead by now ,ETH isnt capable of what bitcoin is and take a look at it ,the smart contract alone is enough to make is a bad coin because of the shittycoins running on erc20 ,its for greater good that bitcoin is the first one to get released by satoshi

Now the price of Ethereum has no relation with the price of altcoins. a lot of good coins are already creating their own blockchain and they are not interested in being connected to ETH

No. This is just a wishful thinking. Some people still do not understand how value enters into a product, IEO put an end to Ether prices because there is simply no demand for it, just look at the rate how most of the ERC 20 tokens are migrating to Binance change in search of value. Ethereum was built on a sloppy ground and is telling on the network now

What a twist of fate would it be should ethereum comes first before bitcoin considering their price difference in the market nowadays.However, cryptocurrency is unpredictable and the law of supply and demand plays an important role therefore we can't assume that even ethereum comes first it will reach the same price as bitcoin right now.

It won't happen as you think, if ethereum will more than 100M of supply then the value wouldn't be more than $11,000.
There will be a normal process and computation on how much the supply will be. But it's likely that it will be the king.

It's much harder for Ethereum to reach $11,000 because of it's much higher supply(currently more than 6 times of BTC's supply). But yeah, essentially if it did reach that price, it would be a bullrun driver, as many tokens are built on Ethereum.

I am not sure if Ethereum becomes the first one. The thing what makes Bitcoin number 1 is decentralization.
Look how many projects there were before Bitcoin E-gold or Liberty dollar - they weren´t decentralized so it was easy to ban them by govs.

Absolutely any cryptocurrency that would appear first would be the flagship in the cryptocurrency industry. You should understand that there are much better and promising cryptocurrencies. But here the market is ruled by leadership. Who was the first to realize their product is the winner. Law of business. In this case, the product is bitcoin.

Ethereum is also a kind of pioneer. If Bitcoin showed that the blockchain can find a use, Ethereum has repeatedly expanded the possibilities of using the blockchain (not only storing information, but also executing programs on the blockchain).

I don't think this is opinion.
d what you say is an illusion, however bitcoin is the first crypto and is very influential and binding on the market. so what you say for ethereum has happened and applies to bitcoin.
I think eth is an altcoin that has the potential but will never be able to win the top ranking

I don't think it will happen.. And if it happens it would not be the same when it comes to the value that you assume of ethereum because the total supply is far different from one another and we knew clearly that supply of any goods even with digital currency has tremendous effect on its value. Can't really imagine that this will happen.
