Decreasing in price of a coin doesn't make it a shit coin. The coin that has is good just in paper and has no any development, no real world use and is just a speculative pump and dump can be called a shit coin. Anything that is promising wont be devalued largely. If the project is good, whatever amount the people may dump, it'd still get a good price.

Maybe. They could go far reaching millions of users. For now the number of users of dapps is very low, we don't know which ones will survive for 5 or 10 years. Even good ideas can fail or get replaced by more complete projects.

If you are buying utility tokens looking for a short term return you are doing it wrong. they are not investments, this is pure speculation. Smart contracts platforms (like cardano, neo, stellar and others) have better chances for mid-term returns. Who bought stellar 2-3 years ago already made good profits. Research well before buying anything.

it's possible but how can you recover the reputation of the shitcoin? this is the difficult part when you are starting with shitcoin to create a good product. People remember about that and that is a big challenge to change people's mind about that. A good product doesn't mean you can recover its reputation instantly.

I think shit coin means a coin that is dropped to almost zero price and its project has severely failed. But its team, concept are good and the project is still working hard for a success. There are possibilities for such 'shit' coin to revive and increase its value. For instance, Ripple could not increase its price as expected for long. the question you should first ask is, what or why the price is down once listed on an exchange. So that's not a reason to say a coin or token is bad. And to answer your question,  yes the price of  the said token can rice again one day. I have seen many projects like that

A coin doesn't become a shitcoin AFTER the project and AFTER the raise. A shitcoin is born as a shitcoin. Some shitcoins do become good coin. For example, don't be mad, Ethereum guys, but Ether was a shitcoin as soon as they split from Ethereum Classic;) But you can't turn a rpoject into a shitcoin, if it ever is called one, it's because it always was one. And you as an investor should know that 100%.

what are the things you see in a project before you can call them a shit coin? Just because the price is down doesn't make it a shit coin and if the project has a good product or use case, then the price will surely rice.

The fact is many coins that loses value today will regain value in the future,those tokens that loses value and then died in the process are the ones with no real use case or they are backed by worse teams so not all coins that loses value are shitcoins

i think if the development from project still active and the project has a running product, thats a sign if the project is not a kind of shitcoins
maybe the price down hard, because people didn't believe with the project and less demands in the beginning,

First, what is meant by ShitCoin.
Honestly, I myself think that ShitCoin is a Coin/Token that is truly worthless, there is no progress in development, even (mostly) it is lost and its existence cannot be found anymore.

If it's only limited to a price reduction, I don't think it's worthy of us to call it ShitCoin, because it needs to be seen also how the project of the Coin/Token runs.

For the record, at the beginning of 2019 even the Bitcoin has experienced a very large decreasing price. So is Bitcoin also included in the ShitCoin category as you said above? CERTAINLY NOT

I think you have a vague conception of shitcoin, a shitcoin is a coin is just a copy of an existing project, developers not updating the project and totally ignore all development queries, if they have a product and the price is down , it's just normal for a coin that is just starting out, it will eventually recover once investors see some development.

The investor tend to look the price project when it has been listed on the exchange. When the token/coin price down when it has been listed on the exchange continuesly and I doubt the project will be pay attention by most investors in the future although the developer make a big update for the token better. Shitcoin will always be shitcoin, moreover the project has delisted by many exchanges it could be the token will have no price anymore.

the coins don't suddenly become shitcoins and they can't turn that around. when something is useless and is considered a shitcoin it is a shitcoin and it will die guaranteed. when you see they are starting it with a fund raising with any name such as ICO, IEO, STO,... or when you see the price of it dump immediately, or when you see the project is exact copy of hundreds of other projects that came before it and a lot of other things, they are all indicators and warning signs telling you that it is a shitcoin.
the fact that some people still decide to put their money into something like that even though there are a lot of red tapes to see, is their own naivete.

altcoin has very bad progress and developers have given up developing coins.
my suggest is never to buy shitcoin because you won't benefit from it.
