Quote
LATOKEN exchange and blockchain startup Dreamr are announcing the first Security Token Exchange Offering (STEO) event by a U.S. company, which will be held on 8th August. The STEO format combines the benefits of STO and IEO types of crowdfunding, and could become a new benchmark for fundraising.

We cannot go back in time and take part in one of the first ICO’s (Ethereum) with an ATH return of 460 633% or one of the first IEO’s (BitTorrent) with a 1 683% ATH return. Opportunities like those are extremely rare, happen quickly, and we usually learn about them only after the fact. Perhaps this, the first STEO from Dreamr, is also this kind of an opportunity; one that should not be missed.

ICOs were far from perfect and became one of the main causes of Crypto Winter; the market reacted with the evolution into STO and IEO formats, and Crypto Spring began. The next stage is the appearance of STEO’s, which combines the advantages of its predecessors, thus replacing Crypto Spring with Crypto Summer.

Haha, finding the best marketing word for a token sale?  Cheesy
This only shows that ICO´s do not know how to attract investors so they are finding ways how to be cool. Instead of they should care more about products and make an investment interesting for investors.

I don't think there will be any difference and innovation to regular IEOs or STOs.
It is just a marketing trick to attract attention. If the project is good, it will raise the money with or without first-ever terms and branding.

that's true and i thought that if that company doesn't even get license from the US regulators. it looks like another gimmick for marketing purpose only and almost 90% of IEO that runs on latoken were scam.

You got the trick. I do not know what we will not see when it comes to marketing strategies.
I am sure that by the time you try to question why it is called security, there won't be any cogent reason behind it, because it is not registered with any registered security exchange commission or authority.

I think we need more dedicated and established platforms for STOs first because security tokens will be the future where major companies will start tokenizing their shares into security tokens but we have yet to see a fully compliant and functioning exchange for security tokens.

That is serious, only God knows which crowd funding method will be following this again. We are yet to completely develop the rest to the fullest, now this is coming to start confusing investors again, different prank just used by some of these projects to make money from investors. I have indeed heard of Latoken, but I thought it was either an ICO or IEO projects, can’t really remember which platform I go to know if them from.

Now what will really be the difference between the STEO and STO, sto has already been created as a security token, and I see no reason why STEO should come up with another method again. We still have IEO and STO, and this two have not yet failed in guaranteeing security of the investors and also giving them enough return on their investment. I think this STEO is just a misplaced priority, and this will be yet another platform we will find difficult again to buy its projects like IEO.

So from ICO, to STO, to IEO to now STEO? And it’s US based. Is this a way to be compliant to the strict rules of the SEC?
I’m curious to know if US citizens can now participate in these kinds of sales..

I think only my name is different and the main goal is still to collect funds from investors. I don't think STEO will succeed if the project and the exchange are not good. Because people will not invest in STEO if the project is not good and good, maybe people will not be attracted to much.

So many Acronyms in the cryptocurrency space especially when it comes to selling tokens or securities, everybody is striving to be unique and it just ends up confusing us all.

Maybe just a new term to attract investors. But who can believes in LAtoken, when we all know that this is a exchange that regularly lists new tokens with zero trading volume and token will be dumped to almost worthless prices.

It really is very confusing, people are not yet over with STOP and IEO is having a good run of success, now we have something like this, the competition is not on every project now, but on the platform on who can attract the most investors, let's see how this one's going to change the crowdfunding.

What does it mean actually? A normal IEO with KYC process for all participants, because in this case it is just another marketing movement to create more attention. However, there was no IEO on Latoken that was sold out, so the name does not matter really.

it looks the same. IEO/ICO/STO and now STEO, all equally are tokensales.

so I don't think that will make a difference. in the end it will definitely fail.
