ASIC miner silencer shroud, this asic miner muffler dual exhaust can be used on any 120mm fan.  Antminer s9 fan shrouding experiment soundproofing test video. I am very aware that my first design did get knocked off and it was a subpar copy. Well here comes the new 2019 version with internal sound canceling chambers!

COMPONENTS
Fans serve as the outlet and driving force in the mechanical ventilation systems in mining farms. The inlets are often a cooled air or some other inlet components.
Distribution is created by the placement of the inlets. Air in an mining facility follows a path from
the outside, through the inlet cool cell or other inlet components, under/below
the space and, finally, out the fans. Understanding the path air takes and how the path
interacts with the driving force helps ensure a well-designed and fully-operating mining
ventilation system.

STATIC PRESSURE
Static pressure is used to evaluate the amount of impact various ventilation system components
have on the airflow path within a given mechanical ventilation systems, the fans
create positive static pressure to move air through a given system. All other components create
negative static pressure that causes resistance to air moving through a system. A mechanical
ventilation system operates with the static pressure in balance. The positive static pressure
created by the fans equals the negative static pressure created by resistance as air navigates
obstacles in the ventilation path.

CONCLUSION
• Fans of the same diameter are not all created equal. Airflow capacity at different static
pressures varies depending upon fan make and model.
• Increasing the static pressure a fan must operate against reduces the amount of airflow
delivered by fan.
• The fan blades are over 4 inches causing extreme static pressure resistance even without adding the cubic feet of area in the ducting.

in the video I did not see anything beyond the natural, ordinary pipe for heat output, at the end of the fan for blowing. it is elementary to make such architecture in 30 minutes

take a regular corrugation vent, and just RUB the miner. development of nano-technologies) it is necessary to patent such goods

Natural? These miners run at 86-92 DB level, that is natural (normal)

Cough.. Cough... But you knew that already right.

You did not see the internal chambers of the piping system. If you can make this in 30 minutes to lower the DB that much then hats off to you buddy. I would love to see you try.

That seems restrictive (visually, at least). What is the difference in surface area of the 120mm inlet, and the two smaller outlets combined?

Additionally, the harsh angles would seem to create strange airflow internally. Wasn't your previous version more conical or tapered? How does the hard 90-degree at the end of the 120mm section affect flow?

Hi jstnryan the total combined output is 160mm so there is no airflow restriction. Yes the previous version was more tapered but these angles were used to cancel out the remaining sound waves from the inside resonating chamber. If you listen in the video you can really hear how muffled this one is compared to the last version or with no muffler at all.

Working on one last design that will actually use 4 pipes instead of two and might be the best design yet. This design has taken about 25 prints, tests and about 3 months to get it this low of a DB

the total combined output is 160mm so there is no airflow restriction.

Just FYI:

One 120mm inlet:
120=2r, r=60
A=𝜋60^2, A=11309mm^2

Two 80mm outlets:
80=2r, r=40
A=𝜋60^2, A=5026mm^2
5026x2=10052mm^2

A deficit of 1257mm^2, so it is about 10% smaller.

For comparison, a 4" outlet (~100mm):
100=2r, r=50
A=𝜋50^2, A=7853mm^2

Yes changing the chamber to make them either slightly larger or one main chamber. Great info.
