I have seen something similar on several other exchanges, at least on the bitmax exchange.

 I saw a similar proposal and I think it is beneficial for everyone. If you really love this coin then - make money on this and the exchange that gives you this opportunity gets extra liquidity.

Generating passive income through this? I guess kucoin and those altcoins made a partnership so that traders on that exchange can do better and will be forced to buy those altcoins and just hold it to receive daily rewards. I've like to try this but I think I will focus with one altcoin that's eligible with that program and will fill a good amount of money for the daily rewards. But I'm not going to fully depend on it and I'll just treat it as another good source of crypto.

Almost all of exchanges are providing some sort of extra interest for holding specific coins in their exchange in one for or other. I remember liquid did collected good liquidity by offering generous interest. Either by staking, locking or as an investment in liquidity, exchanges are being more beneficial to normal users even for those who don't trade.

That will be good for traders who have those coins so they can generate more and of course, they can also get more profit from selling the staking. But if there is a minimum amount for staking, I think that will only work people who have the minimum so they can get the coins from the staking. All in all, I think that programs will attract more traders to buy that coin because they want to get more amount which means they will make another profit from the coin. Besides that, if the demand is high to buy those coins, I think that will give an impact to the price for each coin and I think that will give a chance for the coins to get a better price in the future.

Guess the staking will be done on their centralized exchange.. This may not end well for stakers with the rampant hacking of centralized exchange thesedays.
 I don't think the reward is worth it.  Just too risky

That is good news for those who would like to stake their investment, but I am not that type that is much interested in staking, because I see it has a way of tying down money unnecessarily. The fund required to join these stake programs is not that of a small money because they all require a minimum quantity for anyone to stake, and that runs into thousands of dollars and not hundreds.

If I have thousands of dollars to stake, I would rather trade with it where I can get much more than what they can ever give me as interest for staking, or I just simply hold my coin for a long term. Staking would not have been bad, if it was not limited to certain amount of money that is quite too huge, so if you choose to participate in all these projects listed, you would have tied down do much money.
