Tor service is slow (TOO SLOW)

Is it only me or anyone else is also facing this pathetic slow TOR service? I am using Tor with my firefox browser. I use it smoothly but from last few hours I am having very slow page loading. I was tempted to throw away my laptop twice LOL because of these following repeated shits:

The captcha keeps failing when try to log in.
Pages are taking ages to load
Connection gets disconnected

What the f**k is going on with this Tor shit?

Why don't you use Tor Browser rather than modified Firefox Browser? Bad configuration could lead to deanonymization or slower connection.

Switch circuit is best solution most of the times, but reCAPTCHA is very unfriendly if you use known Tor exit node, VPN or proxy, you have to switch circuit multiple times and solve reCAPTCHA many times.
But if you allow 3rd cookies & login to your google account, reCAPTCHA will be more friendly, at cost of your privacy.

Surely brute forcing would be impossible if you changed your password to one with a length of 100 characters that includes special characters.

Well yes, but most people don't do this. Most people use a short and easy to remember password, usually with a dictionary word or two, and reuse the same password (or almost the same password with minor variations) across multiple sites.

If you use a proper password manager, as you should be doing, and it generates a long and truly random password for you, then yes, brute forcing is next to impossible.

There are plenty of private VPS, many which will accept crypto as payment. Then you can install your own VPN on it and run it, either on it's own, before tor, or after tor. Running both would of course slow them down even more so than just using tor, but not that much.

You could also configure your own tor browser to skip certain countries if they're too far away. The fastest servers are in North America tho ...

Tor Circuit uses 3 node (entry, relay & exit node), country selection won't affect connection speed too much since you can't choose entry & relay node freely. It's possible ping or physical distance between nodes are very high/far.

Is it true that tor tends to select nodes from countries close to your country? I think I read somewhere that's how it works.

According to https://tor.stackexchange.com/q/113), it's not, even though node selection have tendency to pick country closes to yours because faster relay have higher probability picked.
