I am very disappointed with stake.com, I once sent 10 ltc to my btc account wallet at stake.com. and they promised to complete a maximum of 3 months. but there is no good intention at all for 8 months, I hope my 10 ltc will be added to my stake.com account soon.
I hope there are good intentions from stakeholders to help me, I have experienced the same thing at https://yolodice.com and the 999dice.com yolo and 999 teams only need 4 days to do it. but stake.com is like playing with me.
Hopefully stakeholders can read my post

Looks like you need to pay more attention when sending coins. Most sites will tell you if you send to the wrong wallet, your coins will be lost. You are lucky anyone has helped you at all.

I'd say if support has not helped you after 8 months, your odds are low to be helped now.

IIRC, it should theoretically be possible for Stake to offload the private key from the BTC wallet to load in with Litecoin to extract the funds.

Given this opportunity, they will still "own" the 10 LTC... so there's no reason not to fund this account (provided everything is true).

You made the same mistake 3 times in a row? Have I understood that correctly?

Nevertheless the only one who can help you out here is the stake.com support. They already told you that you have to wait because they can't change (unload and reload) their wallets easily. I understand that this is an embarrassing situation for you but it is definitly no scam attempt, so the scam accusiation is unjustified in my opinion.

Actually what made people too long to report their case on here? It was happened 8 months ago but you just telling us now, where have you been in last 8 months? Waiting LTC price rises so you will be able to "claim" more than you've spend before?

Fyi LTC was worth $25 on 8 months ago and now it's $123. If you have successfully claimed your LTC, it means your money has been increased 5 times.

Most sites will tell you if you send to the wrong wallet, your coins will be lost.
I've read this on every gambling site before i deposit money, so i think OP can't get his money back due to his own mistake

I'm not defending Stake.com but I also sent  funds to a wrong address and they have stated that they cannot recover it, all exchange and gambling are stating that in their deposit page and on their terms that sending coins to a wrong address cannot be recovered, it's just bad luck that it is a huge amount based on current price.

I bought it when the price was 60-70 usd / ltc, and I also claimed, when the initial error. but from stake.com I told me to wait a maximum of 3 months. after 3 months I complained again and they always delay until now

they promised to complete a maximum of 3 months
That's not what your screenshot shows, they clearly said "at least 3 months":

Comparing it to other sites doesn't make sense, it might be those other sites have a much less secure setup than Stake has. Any legit exchange will tell you the same: it's impossible for their employees to access private keys, and that is by design, not by accident.

Stake didn't scam you OP. Think of it as dropping a ring through a crack in the floor of a bank, and expecting the bank to break open the floor just to fix your mistake.

You made the same mistake 3 times in a row?
That's what I read too. OP needs to learn to check his transactions before sending them!

It will breach all their security stuffs if they will do such thing just to recover that coins on such manner, that's why every deposit and withdrawal page there's always a warning with bolded text that they will hold no responsibility once the user did copy or paste an incorrect address.

I was forced to post like this, because I felt like being toyed with and unclear for 8 months. even though they say a maximum of 3 months will help me. and when I was discouraged there was a friend who suggested posting here, so stake.com really helped my problem seriously. Finally, the web support told me that it is not our BTC address, so we cannot extract your funds, although it is clear that my BTTC address is at stake.com. I hope stake.com can help me.

Once again, like loyceV said above, they said they won't do at least in 3 months, it means they *might be* would do that in 3 months later or more (it could be 1 year, 2 years later, etc) for your case

That isn't what they said.

What they actually said (according to your email screenshot) was:
Quote
The way our wallet is setup it is impossible to do that unless we change wallets for all of our users. Which we wont do in atleast 3months from now.

They're telling you that for security reasons, they would need to change the wallets for all users of the site... and they had no plan to do that for at least 3 months. They never said they would do it in a "max" of 3 months... in fact, they didn't specify any maximum limit on when it might happen, just that it definitely wouldn't happen for at least 3 months.

Having said that... theoretically, they should be able to recover the LTC, if they can extract the key for the BTC address. The methods to recover LTC sent to a BTC address are fairly well known and publicised (for example: https://imgur.com/gallery/M5Lah#oZmCOxm). Unfortunately, the issue for services like this is that to extract a single private key creates significant security risks compared with a single user doing it on a privately held wallet. Additionally, the time and effort required would, in most cases, outweigh the value of the "lost" coins.

This is why some of the exchanges have a minimum value of $5000 before they'll consider recover.

At the end of the day, you made a mistake... as unfortunate as that is, Stake.com are not responsible for this issue and are under no real obligation to recover the coins for you. They're certainly not scamming you. Perhaps write to their support and ask that should they update all the wallets in the future, could they consider recovering your LTC?

I think support did offer that option to him in the email and just pointed out that it would take a long time before they did so. Unfortunately for OP, there's no real reason for them to switch barring unexpected events, as they are already using nested Segwit addresses and bech32 is still not supported by many wallets/exchanges.

It might be a good idea for Stake to make a clear recovery procedure and charge a fair fee for the time taken for someone authorized to deal with private keys to safely recover the funds. IIRC Binance charges a 0.01BTC fee to recover to make it worth their time.

And if their setup makes it expensive or time-consuming enough that 0.01 BTC wouldn't cover the costs of recovering the coins they could decide to do recoveries, say, every 3 months, batching them so they could do them in one go once in a quarter.

At first, I thought this would be about the payment stuff, turns out it was coins sent to wrong address?
Stake without a doubt is not a scam casino, I have played there for years and based on my experience, they are the top one in their field if not the best.

As for your case, it's your fault, you should consider yourself lucky if they are willing to help you recover the funds, although it's technically sent to them, but most casinos or exchanges have statement like "do not send to wrong address or your funds will be lost" or stuff like that.

Anyways, I hope this is solved soon, I'm sure they are trying to help you, just give them more time I guess. Consider it an investment, you are at more than 300% gain right now compared to 8 months ago based on litecoin price ($25 to more than $100).

The title is very misleading it's not the fault of stake.com at all, we all receive warnings that we should always watchful on the deposit address of coins we intend to deposit and it is costly to recover that funds, I believe it's your fault and you do not have to accuse stake.com of scamming you.

For that reason I will not call scammer to Stake team. Mistake has been done by you. Likely they could recover that fund and they might refund to your account. That's the reason why should we always double check our sending address if it is correct. I had not read their conditions. But since this isn't small amount stake should help you by recover your fund. That lesson for all to avoid such as mistake.
