I've just received an email that looks like a Bitmain's one, but it's a scam







the sender is: no-reply bitmain inc sokoidonzei4 (@) gmail.com


Somehow some mailing lists from Bitmain has to be leaked out, cause this e-mail box I'm using is connected with Bitmain only
Eyes open - always look who is the sender and do not trust any special offer

Bitmain has been compromised several times, just have to be vigilant. It's funny I was pretty groggy when I checked it out today and never noticed the link - I even laughed thinking it was the worst scam ever lol. I never have to worry to much, Bitmain has no machines I can run so I don't even bother looking anymore.

I have three bitmain accounts.

All three have been sent that email. Or a variation of that email.

At this point my advice for gear,is go to bitmain.com

Every 30 minutes. Every day.

And maybe you can catch a sale.

I have stopped purchasing any gear as it is over priced just about everywhere and everyplace.

My one piece of gear on order is an innosilicon t50

Due in August. For now I will mine with the gear I have.

I bailed on my t57 order. I was going to,get one from mine farm buy. Decided to skip the order.

Did have the same message but the composition of such message is already an obvious thing for you to doubt in.

For newbies eyes it cant really be easily seen.We should always put up on our minds that any emails came from such service or any other related,
its always been a good habit on verifying everything before proceeding and with this kind of basic habit will help you to avoid on the pit of being scammed.

It’s good to post and comment things like that here on forum so the clever one who will google for an answer on their question regarding any suspicious mail will get the right answer

Are you sure of this, and you're not signed up to any other accounts with this email that is crypto related? I checked my email registered with Bitmain and haven't received anything.

The email itself is relatively benign since it is so obvious, and probably will get flagged as spam soon anyways. It should be the compromised database that should be a concern, since a lot of people who have an account with them also have accounts on other crypto-related sites with the same account that could be potentially affected.

I don't think that Bitmain has recently released any info regarding a leak of their database. They might need to be notified

Because of soaring value of BTC, scammers are also soaring active promoting their tactics to get more victims, as I have a website which is crypto related and the email was public seen before, in return I receive these kind of emails almost everyday, well of course, it's going to spam folder in anyways.

So I suggest to become more aware of this scams. Even twitter has massive spam of tweets from scammers.

I have an account on them but never receive any email related to them. Most probably, the email used by OP is somewhat used on any other crypto related website.
