I personally thank Trump for making this advertising to cryptos.
There are a lot of people who don't like Trump and they are opposed to him. His tweet will make them own cryptocurrencies in an endeavor of protesting to him and showing that his beliefs are wrong.
His claims can spark a positive effect in bitcoins price eventually.

Trump made that tweet with only one intention to destroy Libra coin before it takes off, and we will come to know how effective it was when the hearing begins tomorrow. David is going to appear before the committee on Tuesday and Wednesday, and if a positive verdict comes out Bitcoin prices shall shoot up. It’ll be interesting if the haters of Trump which include celebrity buy Bitcoins to mock him, it’ll create further awareness for bitcoins.

I think its fine that he has his own opinion, we've historically seen that the old money guys don't like Bitcoin because they don't understand it. The only thing that I think he has wrong is that its backed by thin air, but one would need to read the Bitcoin whitepaper or similar to understand otherwise. Its fair for him to say that he doesn't like Bitcoin, the value in USD is volatile, and unregulated crypto assets can facilitate unlawful behavior. Warren Buffet's opinion on Bitcoin is largely the same, and that has never really been a concern for anyone.

I think Trump is basically against evil entities such as JP Morgan using it for illegal things. Particularly screwing the citizens. In ways that they don't have the ability to prevent.

There are two bitcoin enthusiast of bitcoin, one is the negative one who ate all his thrown words about bitcoin and become crypto lover at the end and second is the positive one who never succeeds in crypto world thus turn his back to bitcoin. Trump and JP Morgan suits the first category who said negative things about bitcoin but later on they will gonna invest and love it.

I don't know if their statements really affect the market but seems it does sincd after the Trump's released tweer against bitcoin, the price drops.

There will be a big surprise from the US political angle because their election will be based on most of the failed aspect of the current government. The president has failed in some area especially in terms of Bitcoin and.his opponent will like to embrace Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to gain attraction from the voters who love Bitcoin.

Who cares about whether politicians and big bankers are enthusiasts about Bitcoin? You know what happens when these corporate people (yes Trump is a corporate man don't forget) see Bitcoin and decide they like it? They become guys like Roger Ver or Craig Wright. They make Bitcoin famous for sure but they also want some big piece of the pie only for themselves.

I don't think that Trump's opinion on Bitcoin really matters. It's not the question of world politics that would have some big impact and I don't think that Bitcoin community actually cares about such opinions. So why bothering with that at all? And who else expects from politicians to be cryptocurrencies and new technologies enthusiasts?

Trump is still the president of the United States, so all his entourage will listen to him including the administrative apparatus
So? They don't have a choice in the matter. If they want to keep their jobs, they have to listen to him. This in no way means that the world population also has to agree with him just because he is the most powerful man currently on the planet.

Majority of the population don't even like him generally. The crypto community will simply ignore his opinion on crypto and continue moving forward as they always have. This is how the world works.

Well, Trump hasn't a "brilliant" reputation Tongue and it was absolutely foreseeable that he won't accept cryptocurrencies. I want it to change, it would be great if the governments officially accept the virtual money. Recently, I've found an interesting article called Crypto Civil War and you can find there a few words about Trump too.

Trump clearly has something possibly wrong about the cryptocurrencies , but at last he isn't banning them the least , then again the warning signs were for the people who weren't paying their taxes therefore there isn't much that of a war against cryptocurrencies in the US..

JP Morgan did a really flattering job of dipping our faces of the crypto community in the embarrassment , which the government can use against us anytime.

Then again I don't know why everyone should be grouped with him...but this is how the government sees it.

Any public attack of bitcoin by prominent political leader and inventors is welcome, this can only make the bitcoin more interesting and worth investing since it's gaining the attention of the whole world, then there must be something very valuable about it.

I'm not too sure about that, I'd personally prefer it if Bitcoin wasn't given as much attention.
While I generally like that the price tends to go up, the more Bitcoin is talked about, I also feel that it brings too much government interference into the whole Bitcoin community.

Maybe it's a bit silly of me to think like that, but I honestly preferred the way things were before it gained such popularity.

You are right to a large degree, we fair very well before government started interfering in the cryptomarket, forcing some Dex to insist on KYC. But we can't actually be more formidable and remain dominant if the global policy makers don't give a go ahead to their various institutions to start being friendly with bitcoin and its investors. We certainly need a form of legalization policies, even though the bitcoin as a currency is not illegal. We need more inflow of institutional fund into the bitcoin market.

Your title is misleading. Who said JP Morgan using Bitcoin to trade drug? I haven't seen it any article till now.
It's not a matter what Trump or whoever said, at the end, you should only focus on what satoshi said.

Not at all influential with bitcoin, if instead, the perpetrators use fiat for illegal activities, will fiat currencies be bad?
