Is this the Donald Pump we've been waiting for?Reversed marketing Trump has more than 60 millions of followers on his twitter and he mentioned bitcoin to them. You know how they say, that there is no such thing as bad advertising!! So don't fall for his statement about btc. I think you should do the opposite of what they want you to do. Not to sell but to buy the dip. Giving attention to crypto is a sucess for holders. That means the game is on. Wanna buy cheap coins? Just make a bad statement about it and buy cheaper. You fill your bag and then you come up with positive statements about crypto or bitcoin.

Trump is a good businessman! He knows what he's doing!
I think both of those statements are demonstrably false.

In the past even before he became the United States of America's president, he was disposed to the idea of bitcoin and many people see him as someone that will favor technological advancements as bitcoin and blockchain technology is one of the latest advancements of technology of our time but I was surprised to read his comments yesterday on Twitter about bitcoin and even tweet that he is not "fan of Bitcoin" It might be a strategy to buy low but personality I was disappointed.

If a group donates to The US bitcoins to build the wall don't worry about seeing him posting like a freak on Twitter to say how Bitcoin is wonderful. By the way, he was referring to Facebook coin basically but he included Bitcoin and cryptos like to say "While I am at it..." I truly think he considers cryptocurrencies and company coin differently.

I'm actually just waiting for someone to sponsor his wall with cryptocurrencies and see what his reaction would look like. Anyway, I don't think what Trump said on twitter damaged bitcoin in any way. If anything, it might have helped in the recent increase, thanks to his 62 million followers on Twitter. And it's cringey to read his 'dependable and reliable' remarks to the tanking US dollar, with conviction! A dude that bashes a news outlet (CNN) continuously, followed by some random spurts of craziness by tweeting nonsensical things in front of a large audience and at the same time being the POTUS is somewhat a recipe for a complete disaster, and is realized by Trump himself.
Don't mind him. He's just having his rounds of crazies.

https://news.bitcoin.com/the-best-responses-to-donald-trumps-claim-that-bitcoin-is-backed-by-thin-air/You should definitely watch this out, I ROFL'ed hard while reading to some of the most irritating, yet informative comments for our favorite arrogant US President Donald Pump Trump. My favorite one was this: Image source - https://news.bitcoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/screenshot-2019-07-12-at-09-16-53-1068x895.pngLet's stop reacting to him, it has become these people's daily routine to try to manipulate the markets through their "influencing"words. I'd say Mr. Trump has got the disease of crypto influenza and is now waiting for a vaccine to be injected in him till he goes normal.

Maybe. They say any news is good news, right? Hundreds of millions of people are seeing the US president talk about Bitcoin. And the reference to its high volatility........a lot of people know what he's talking about. Might help trigger that greed.

His opinion or words about bitcoin will not sway a true believer of bitcoin. At this stage of the evolution of the bitcoin money, whether or not the government likes it or not, bitcoin will play a dominant role in eCommerce as well as an investment vehicle.

Very true. And you can find most of those true believers are here in the forum. Whatever a politician's view on bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, we just ignored them because we very well know its true nature. Those who don't have idea will get a negative notion, however, they are the ones who will not enjoy the numerous benefits of dealing with crypto. So it is not our loss. And we are fortunate that we learned about this digital currency in our lifetime.

The POTUS tweet just shows the growing dominance of bitcoin over these fiats.
There are two good things that happened from that tweet: 1. Crypto was advertised to no coiners. 2. Crypto community became united (again).

Donald Trump is a big fool if he thinks people who are interested in bitcoin and crypto would listen to him. To begin with crypto is for people who are against banks and against establishment, this is the president of usa who is basically faking his wealth and acting all establishment himself so why would any crypto person listen to him at all.
There is not a single soul on this earth that would say "well if Donnie says so then I will stop" so it won't affect crypto in any sense. However, if I know donnie well enough then he might come up and say something great about cyrpto the next day as well because he is known to change his opinions quite frequently which is why nobody really cares about what the hell he says since it can change in matter of hours.

Of course, such big politicians will not say something just like that. So it was profitable to someone. But it seems to me that this does not affect bitcoin in any way, because everyone knows that you should not pay attention to what statements of other people, especially if they are people not from the crypto sphere.

He wasn't the first with such reverse tweet. i remembered J.P morgan doing the same some time ago in 2017. apparently, a bitcoin transaction was made with his name link to it. it is all about the reverse marketing that might lead to weak hands selling out while the business moguls buys from them

I think we should take into account the expert opinions and that is not expert opinion because Trump is a businessman and politician and not a crypto expert. It is thought to have great implication for the economy in future and we have already seen the great performance and cut down in cost as well. If a company like Microsoft is using crypto, be confident about its future.

Whoever still allows Donald trump tweet to have any effect on them or control their emotion is still not ready for liberation, I don’t expect Donald trump to ever support bitcoin because of it being a decentralized coin. I am waiting for Libra coin of Facebook to be released first , and then hear trump’s stand on it, it is then I will know if they are trying to control cryptocurrency or not.
Bitcoin is doing fine without the input of trump and I don’t see reason why anyone should be threatened by his speech. If anyone that is not so strong enough panic to allow the tweet to affect them, then it will still be a plus to me and to many people who is willing to buy from those who will panic sell at a cheaper rate because I am looking for every opportunity right now to get a cheaper bitcoin before the bull run.

that was my initial reaction to this tweet too. there is no bad advertisement and it has put bitcoin on the radar of millions of people who saw this tweet and millions more who read about it all over the internet in the following days after it. and that is one of the reason why I have been very surprised in the past couple of days to see the market reaction which has been mostly passive to this news. I suppose part of it can be because of the fact that people got scared and wanted to wait to see what happens before doing anything. also someone mentioned the altcoin dumps that might have been the reason for this pressure on bitcoin price preventing it from rising up.

Of course we wanted to see Trump reacting to Libra once it is released. However, we have seen US lawmakers doing everything to stop so I guess we don't need Trump's stance of Libra, I'm smelling a hard line stance for him as well. Bitcoin is doing fine without the input of trump and I don’t see reason why anyone should be threatened by his speech. Just do remember that Bitcoin is still a speculative asset and anyone specially with a higher position saying anything will have a effect. But the good thing is that people just ignore Trump, as the prices didn't tank as we has expected. So his statement doesn't bring any weight in the long run. So we should thank Trump for the free publicity.

I don't check out Twitter too much but after looking around Trumps twitter I can tell you that place is extremely toxic and filled with paid trolls that reply to everyone of his comments. That place is too stressful for me and I would rather not ever look at it again.
