I just read this thing on reddit and it is quite funny and at the same time it can be very educational for beginners around here to see how there are scammers out there that will use their greed to take their money from them.
you should always try to use your head and do some research before handing your money over to a random person on the internet!

some funny quotes:
Quote
bitcoin mining is an automatic trading software and tools that allow individuals and institutional customers to trade online that enables them make good profit within a short period of time
Quote
you will earn 10btc within 48 hours of time
Quote
[-who is bitmain?]
it's the machine that mines bitcoin faster
[-oh I thought he's a superhero]
and of course the funniest thing is that he scammed the scammer out of $1 Cheesy

Everyone should adopt the attitude of that you have to work in order to o earn. You do not automatically double or triple your money.
Greed is a tool that has been used through various medias.
We could also report suspicious accounts and websites, j found this link: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
I believe it comes with a warning flag similar to what we have with the trust flags. This would help protect newbies from such scams

I've seen a lot of people scamming scammer videos online, just never thought it'd spread over to crypto as well! Sort of inevitable in hindsight considering how many people try to scam with crypto, I've just never thought about it much though because I usually just block scammers as soon as they add me. I also agree, common sense protects you from 99% of the common crypto scams out there. Sucks that many people just don't think very much about the things they do.

Just read through the comments of the Reddit thread about this, seems some people have looked up the address of the scammer and the guy only had $3 in his/her wallet, and that scammer has now lost 33% of his funds! Hopefully that scammer will now think twice about scamming again. Tongue

Nice story Cheesy. These scammers are always looking for dumb victims and they are too stupid to deal with people like in this story. In past I liked to "play" with these scammers and tease them, unfortunately I don't have enough time to do that now. It's always fun to see how desperate scammers sometimes can be. Actually I don't support scamming scammers, but this story is really funny and it's just $1.
