Few days ago some members attacked me basically because I created a thread to solicit for a review of my post since I was sure of my contribution towards the growth of this forum in my little way, also, as a new comer. I could remembered on that same thread that; I raised some issues that borders on fairness, that many are here that received merit with their first post which they actually merit but many are here that got theirs without any effort be put into their post, so, in reply to their question, I hereby provide you an example of a shitposter with 10merit award without much zeal like mine.

Does the post Worth the 10 merit? Just trying to get a fact as I proceeds with my post.

This post isn't worth any Merit, but Merit isn't moderated and theymos doesn't want users tagged for Merit abuse either:

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

Note that theymos' post was replying to a Merit source, so for "normal" users the threshold for red trust might be even higher.
