IEO vs ICO my opinion, tell me yours

1. Need extensive research.
2. High chances of getting scammed.
3. Lack of transparency on funds raised.
4. No confirmation about exchanges.
5. No guarantee that softcap or hardcap will be achieved.

IEOs->
1. No need of extensive research about legitimacy of project due to involvement of exchanges in the process.(top rated exchanges).
2. Very rare that project will turn out as a scam.
3. Complete transparency on funds raised.
4. The IEO processing exchange gives assurance that coin/token will list at least on the same exchange.
5. Hardcap/softcap is guaranteed when IEO is on top exchanges.

Now a days IAOs, i.e. Initial Auctions Offering is also getting popular in some projects.

I see if the IEO is an improvement from the ICO. now the IEO is one thing that might be better than ICO. promised exchanges at IEO proved to restore investor confidence, and that could be one of the best things. so I think now for what must be ICO if IEO is the best. this is my opinion

I would to argue in one points with you. If a project does a Pre ICO. It can already submit applications to be listed on exchanges. I have been in contact with several exchanges i do think i would be able to get confirmation from Exchanges that i get listed even before the main ICO starts. Where i agree is, that almost no one does it or neither gives you the transparency.

It is certain that we won't like to invest where we won't profit. So ICO projects were a big scam and that is just the reason that we have IEO which gives more security.

For some especially on “bitcointalk” it is clear that they won't invest in IEO anymore.

I think you would need to see if you would edit IEO to ICO. I'm thinking you made a misplacement there.

Most of the IEO's are actually well designed scams. IEO's are bascially ICO's but with the liquidity from the exchanges. Now i am not saying there are not good projects out there but there are a ton who are already investigated for scaming people.

For those that have been around in the Cryptocurrency market for a pretty long time the question to invest in IEOs or ICOs has been the main discussion point in 2019.
For some especially on “bitcointalk” it is clear that they won't invest in IEO anymore. After I have followed lots of discussion on bitcointalk i realized that people have moved on. It is a clear that people invest in IEOs as the platforms will evaluate the projects and give the investor the feeling of security.
Nevertheless i have observed a trend. The numbers in the ICO market have been declining but stayed fairly stable in 2019. The main reason for moving on to IEOs was the astonishing amount of scams that had flooded the market, since it was easy to make a lot of money.
This move to IEOs has something good. I believe that as harder it gets to hold an ICO as more the projects have to do to convince potential investors. Scammers want easy money and my hope is that the ICO market will come back slowly. Projects that will hold an ICO have to invest more time to convince people.
I sadly had to accept that those who scammed investors destroyed the dream of projects with little money that have great ideas. To hold an ICO and build a community of investors around it is a great way to fund your project without going to big VC firms. Unfortunately those you scammed investors destroyed the ICO market till now and it will take a lot of time to recover.
I have accepted that IEOs are currently the way to fund a project. The only thing that worries me is the power we give those exchanges. Is it really god idea to give that much power to exchanges in the cryptomarket.

IEO is indeed better for investment than ICO. The reason is that we can get coins directly from the exchange. However, this is not all the IEO is running as expected. I do not want to deny what you say. But I experienced the price of IEO coins after listing in exchange. the coins also drop, even losing the sale value.

Your opinion is right and clear stated the situation the way it is. IEOs stands a better chance of surviving because it has proven to be a better way to source for funds without scam unlike ICO. Even if ICOs will come back it will take a great effort to convince investors.

You all very correctly and accurately described. The ICO Market 2017 was like the wild west of the Amrik civil war. Now everything is in order and various different mechanisms of interaction are created.

In my own opinion I think IEO is a better option when it comes to public sales than ICO. I personally don't think I will be getting involved with ICOs even if they come back unless there are rules put in place to curb scams just like in the case of IEOs where exchanges ensures the team is verified.

I think it's a bit tragic considering that ICO in 2017/2018 was a fast way of cryptocurrency crowdfunding and I even found a list stating that some ICO get a lot of fund, Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-funded_crowdfunding_projects and now people have started leaving ICO, because the result of getting a lot of funding is actually misused for scam, and now IEO is a new breakthrough and here the funds obtained are certainly not as big as ICO but some cases get very much funds such as LEO Tokens from Bitfinex who get funds of up to 1 B $ and it seems that this will be the beginning for IEO to become one of the crowdfunding that produces like its predecessor but there is also a new one such as an IDO (initial dex offering) from binance breakthroughs and it might be an alternative for developers to collect fund.

Many people have made a consideration that IEO is better then ICO project. And K think that is right because through an IEO the investors have a comfortable feeling when they spent money to invest in it.

As you may know the exchange has a responsible to decide the project is scam or legit and the project is potential and have no potential. If the exchange can't do these things I believe the exchange will gone slowly, the investors will assume the exchange is not reputable.

You have to see the binance launchpad, I think that is an exchange who give a comfortable feeling for the investor who choose it. Also, I heard a lot of experiences from some investors who use binance for investing in an IEO and they says they got a lot of profit from it.

For ICO project, although there are still running but they have a little investor. Because most of the investor has been moving their money to IEO.

Indeed, investors are more comfortable with their investments available on the IEO platform, but that is no guarantee that the project can succeed or not scam in the future, I think investor investment is only protected in the short term.

But it is of special concern when each new project must meet the criteria or requirements of the IEO to pass and be launched on their platform. I don't think this is good and can lead to fraudulent loopholes by paying bribes to help pass their projects. Indeed we have no evidence of this accusation, but we know that they are ready to pay anything to pass and launch their scam.

I still like ICO which makes a project to develop according to their abilities, but at the time of selling tokens, they must have escrow services to protect investor funds.

Lol, as they say, “beggars can’t be choosers”. We are the one clamoring for an investment environment that is secured, and the best solution they could come up with is this IEO which has actually been effective somehow, although it has its own disadvantage too, because if scammers infiltrate IEO, it will really be worse than ICO.

There is nothing we would have actually done to this regards, they are the only one that still has the little regulation idea, if you have any idea that you feel is better and can secure ICO, I am sure that people would be ready to take it if it is reasonable, but for now, the IEO platform is still the best we can get because ICO has already been tarnished too much.

For me I personally blame bounty managers and hunters for not doing their own due diligent before accepting to showcase those projects to the world, if they had done that from their own part, scam rate would have reduced and there would not have been any reason to have any IEO platform from these exchanges, now exchanges are the ones making the money, while hunters are losing.

Truth be told, both IEO and ICO are basically just the same thing with common goal, but done in a not so different way. Scam IEO exists just like scam ICO did.

This is really a very hot topic this year. Many people are still investing in ICO and some are investing in the IEO. So, everyone still has confidence in the ICO and certainly more for the IEO. I really don't look at the ICO or the IEO, because if the project I invest in is good, it will certainly have an impact on the value of my investment.

ICO and IEO both have their own advantages and disadvantages, but I see IEO better than ICO because the developers are directly selling tokens to Exchange and investors will be more confident they can directly buy the tokens in the market.

Truth be told, both IEO and ICO are basically just the same thing with common goal, but done in a not so different way. Scam IEO exists just like scam ICO did.

the only thing that makes it different IEO will be getting listed instantly when ICO still need more cooperation to able listing its token to the exchange site. The rest is the same from ICO and IEO. But so many people understood it in the wrong way.

In my opinion, IEO better because it is possible to sell coins after the IEO is ended and not to wait for years when the coin enters the stock exchange. of course if the exchange is reliable

I don't hate ICO, but I will not invest in ICO until a solution come in the ICO sector. Decentralization, Anonymity is the crypto's nature but it doesn't mean people can't know the ICO team member's real info! Scam, Cheating are common things in ICO. IEO is not perfect but it is better than ICO!

I have also read several posts that we must be careful about the concept of the IEO, even though the IEO is safe for investors. But I also did not know more clearly about the IEO and I still believed in the ICO.

You have thoughts that go against everyone in this market. Very few people can trust the current ICO projects because most ICO projects have a higher rate of scam and if talking about bad , ICO is very dangerous and has the highest risk rate in the market. I think you should research carefully the newly launched IEO projects on large exchanges because it can help you earn twice as much profit in a short time instead of waiting for the ICO project to list new exchange
