IEO vs ICO my opinion, tell me yours

I think that during the next months or years we are going to begin to see a lack of interest in investing in ieos as well because even if you decide to invest in the ieos that are taking place in exchanges with very good reputations that doesn't really mean that you're going to get profits with those projects.

And profits are what every single investor in this market wants to get and since it is impossible to give them a guarantee that they are going to get those profits and with the high failure rate of ieos then the interest to invest in those projects is going to decrease significantly.

Indeed, there is no guarantee that all investments will get a profit, including IEO on exchangers with large volumes. And I think you are right that one day IEO will die just like the ICO that investors have begun to abandon.

I don't think IEO or ICO will die as long as new projects are still popping up. For the developer team, ICO or IEO is the fastest way to collect project funding funds, but maybe in the future there will be a more efficient method of selling tokens. IEO still plays an important role right now for investors and the developer team because investors need a place to speculate and the developer team needs funds

I think it's depends on the project. Where investors want to invest. IEO is more better than ICO. But many project price drop after IEO and investors lost a loy of money. so be careful and research thousand times before invest.

 eventually you also said price drop after ieo . so that means ico was still better ? well not , because you said it all depend on the project .  sometimes there are good projects on the side of ieo and sometimes most ieo projects were bad but you can only find good projects on ico. .

I have always argued against picking one of them, why do people do not realize that "who" created a coin and "who" supports it is the most important thing out there. If you have an amazing team that worked on coins before and get together to build their own coin, you will most likely will have a great coin in your hands.

Having a great coin is not enough tho, you also have to look at the community behind it, if there are thousands of supporters funding it very quickly and organically go share it everywhere, that great coin will also be priced high as well. After that you can be ICO, IEO, STO or you can be just airdropped out of nowhere for free without getting any funding and you can still be a great coin without caring about how you became one. The biggest fight starts after the offering part, not during.

For sure majority of us will choose IEO as it seems more legit compare to ICO which can be easily done by most scammers, unlike in IEO when they will do it in reputable exchange they need to be verify first and making sure that the project was legit, but still doesn't guarantee that IEO can make you profit, still depends on a lot of factor.

Scammers are really smart I will not be surprised if they are already thinking about a new way to try to convince investors to give them their money, I really though that after the fiasco that the market of icos became people will never trust in any of those projects ever again.

But the popularity of ieos during the previous year seems to defy that theory, and if people want to lose their money to scammers there is nothing we can do except to not follow on their footsteps.

There are fake promises so we should not easily trust IEOs that keep saying that they will got listed in trusted exchange. Listing is a major factor because if the coin listed in untrusted exchange, the coin will become shitcoin because most of the investors are only using reputable exchanges. IEOs became risky investment because of the scammers so we should not easily believe to their attractive words and promises.

What power are you talking about? Just because exchanges are the only thing standing between investors and new projects doesn't actually mean power, they are taking a big risk as well, once a good exchange introduce a IEO project that scam people that's the end for such exchange, they just ruined their reputation and no body will trust them again

And the scammers will rob a lot of money as long as their project is hyped. Just spend a little amount and someone famous will help them promote their project. Honestly, I stopped to invest in ICO or IEO since early of 2019. For me, at now, almost new projects are the scammer.

For those that have been around in the Cryptocurrency market for a pretty long time the question to invest in IEOs or ICOs has been the main discussion point in 2019.
For some especially on “bitcointalk” it is clear that they won't invest in IEO anymore. After I have followed lots of discussion on bitcointalk i realized that people have moved on. It is a clear that people invest in IEOs as the platforms will evaluate the projects and give the investor the feeling of security.
Nevertheless i have observed a trend. The numbers in the ICO market have been declining but stayed fairly stable in 2019. The main reason for moving on to IEOs was the astonishing amount of scams that had flooded the market, since it was easy to make a lot of money.
This move to IEOs has something good. I believe that as harder it gets to hold an ICO as more the projects have to do to convince potential investors. Scammers want easy money and my hope is that the ICO market will come back slowly. Projects that will hold an ICO have to invest more time to convince people.
I sadly had to accept that those who scammed investors destroyed the dream of projects with little money that have great ideas. To hold an ICO and build a community of investors around it is a great way to fund your project without going to big VC firms. Unfortunately those you scammed investors destroyed the ICO market till now and it will take a lot of time to recover.
I have accepted that IEOs are currently the way to fund a project. The only thing that worries me is the power we give those exchanges. Is it really god idea to give that much power to exchanges in the cryptomarket.

IEO is indeed better for investment than ICO. The reason is that we can get coins directly from the exchange. However, this is not all the IEO is running as expected. I do not want to deny what you say. But I experienced the price of IEO coins after listing in exchange. the coins also drop, even losing the sale value.

Yes, indeed this is often the case. Simply put, before the coin can trade in an exchange (no deposit), the coin has a high price. After we deposit the coin, then the price of the coin falls immediately. Even the price can't last a month.

It caused by those how have bought at IEO already dumped it to get the money before people from the outside will try to dump it immediately. Those guys who bought at IEO think the price will be dumped because more coin will be entering the market.

Even I think that coins that are not sold during the IEO, will sell after the market is listed, so the price of the coin falls. Most of the projects running both the ICO and IEO do not burn the remaining unsold coins as long as the IEO or ICO runs. Is that right? I have coins that are indeed priced down after listing the market, and I see the total sales of coins not in accordance with those already shared with investors and campaign participants. They sell large amounts of coins, I think this does not belong to investors but belongs to the project developer.

I think ieo is batter than ico.  But it's totally depends on project.  In beginning project seems good,  but after ico or ice coin price drop. So i think buy coin from exchange.

The aim of IEO and ICO is to provide the project with the necessary funds. However, there are some differences between IEO and ICO. And I prefer IEO because of these differences. Because IEO is organized by an exchange. And exchanges are investigating that project before launching IEO. Therefore for me, the IEOs organized by the top exchanges are more reliable than the ICO.

In IEO we can see on where does the devs and the team plans to list their coin. I might say that if they will be listed in a well known exchange there could be higher possibility that the coin has a big fund that even though IEO is not yet done they has a fund for everything and plans for everything. ICO for me is not reliable now, due to my past experiences.

Well.. have you checked the charts for BNB lately? A few months back, it was trading at $35 per coin. And now the exchange rate is about 50% lower than that level. From what I have seen so far, you can never trust an exchange. No one knows when it will get hacked. Exchanges such as Cryptopia had millions of users and it was trusted by a lot of the users. But we all know what happened to that exchange last year.

But we all know what happened to that exchange last year. 

This doesnt only applied on BNB itself but also on other exchange tokens as well.We know that nothing do goes to our hopes and expectations.
We know on how market works and there would be ups and downs.The good thing here is that we do still see Binance is doing well inspite of all the issues
that it do experience.

yes IEO is indeed new for the crypto market. but for approximately one year this system was put in place and used several projects not many successful with good market development. most are only good at the beginning and so on, their markets fall because they don't have enough traders. IEO has not been as successful as ICO has achieved in previous years.
