IEO vs ICO my opinion, tell me yours

I stopped investing in ICO projects since 2018, i don't have the courage to invest in IEO projects until they start trading on exchanges after several months because many are scam and hyped projects that have nothing to offer

What power are you talking about? Just because exchanges are the only thing standing between investors and new projects doesn't actually mean power, they are taking a big risk as well, once a good exchange introduce a IEO project that scam people that's the end for such exchange, they just ruined their reputation and no body will trust them again

In a rational world that is what it will happen but it is not true, many exchanges have released a bunch of projects that did not had any success and they are still very popular despite all of this.

Exchanges for some reason do not seem to be held accountable for what happens with the coins they support and until this changes they are going to keep supporting those projects since there are no negative consequences for their actions.

ICO is never coming back no matter how much you hoped for it to, any new project that tries to use ICO to raise fund will be generally disappointed because they won't get near softcap at all, for IEO it's been said hundreds of time already to stay with Top exchanges

That's right, for new projects that use their fundraising with ICO, the project will never find success, because investors have looked more at IEO and left ICO, so don't expect success in projects that still use ICO.

Investors have lost their confidence in ICO projects, so that new ico projects will never survive. Because after token sell team's will delay a lot of months to listed exchange. IEO is mainly exclusive for listed exchange before token sell. IEO is going best in few months but gradually it’s difficult to success for the bad quality exchanges launched shit projects. Now investors disappointed about low liquidity exchanges and many investors stopped invest in IEO.

The reason why I like ICO better than IEO is because of the embracement from investors at that time, to be honest ICO was more successful, it's something we can't see anymore since trust issue is the main problem of crypto now especially brand new projects

I lose my interest since that year, I no longer participated in any ICO's , I also lose my trust in them, but since IEO is now in the market, the only project that I am giving my interest is when their IEO is being listed in a top exchange, having a telegram regular updates, having a social media accounts are active and especially if their project is highly profitable.

no longer with ICO & IEO, I personally have stopped investing in ICO or IEO projects. at the moment I am more focused on investing in coins, especially top coins in the market, but next time if I find a prize program that I think is worth it, then I will take part in it and invest in the project.

For those that have been around in the Cryptocurrency market for a pretty long time the question to invest in IEOs or ICOs has been the main discussion point in 2019.
For some especially on “bitcointalk” it is clear that they won't invest in IEO anymore. After I have followed lots of discussion on bitcointalk i realized that people have moved on. It is a clear that people invest in IEOs as the platforms will evaluate the projects and give the investor the feeling of security.
Nevertheless i have observed a trend. The numbers in the ICO market have been declining but stayed fairly stable in 2019. The main reason for moving on to IEOs was the astonishing amount of scams that had flooded the market, since it was easy to make a lot of money.
This move to IEOs has something good. I believe that as harder it gets to hold an ICO as more the projects have to do to convince potential investors. Scammers want easy money and my hope is that the ICO market will come back slowly. Projects that will hold an ICO have to invest more time to convince people.
I sadly had to accept that those who scammed investors destroyed the dream of projects with little money that have great ideas. To hold an ICO and build a community of investors around it is a great way to fund your project without going to big VC firms. Unfortunately those you scammed investors destroyed the ICO market till now and it will take a lot of time to recover.
I have accepted that IEOs are currently the way to fund a project. The only thing that worries me is the power we give those exchanges. Is it really god idea to give that much power to exchanges in the cryptomarket.

IEO is still a good choice if they're going on top Exchanges, the downside of IEO is if they use small Exchanges, small exchanges don't always do good for new projects

Though you forgets that there is a thread that's common with the two fundraising. Well, ICO was known to be doing good when it all started but later got into some wrong hands that tend to take advantage of the platform for scamming. Also, IEO has been on the increase since inception but had started getting negativity like ICO, scammers has started using the said IEOs to scam gullible out of their funds.

Conclusively, the two types of fundraising are the same and one is not different from another as the two are been used by scammers around the world.

you will see that all IEO projects are somehow in their place in the market and in these exchanges in particular.
Most of them, in the long run, turned out to be unprofitable, but this is not a reason to call them scam.

To me, all ICO projects are scams and will definitely only make you lose more money if you choose to invest in this form. In fact, IEO projects bring a lot of profits to investors but most only appear at large exchanges because this is the place to be liquidated at any time. If a team conduct an IEO on Binance, it doesn't mean they have a good project. It just means that they have more money to pay for the IEO. Don't be fooled by thinking that every project that has IEO on Binance (or any other "leading" exchange) is a good project. Besides, even good projects can turn out to be a failure if a team behind it isn't good enough.
