Just make a clone at a 1:1 ratio called "bittercoin". Then they have to re write all the dumb ass laws again when they are done, Call it a "tearto currency"

1 bittercoin = 1 bitcoin
It is not CRYpto it`s TEARto

Drinking the sweat tears of American $cam $lavery $ystem pushers.

I will trade 1 bittercoin for 1 bitcoin and vise versa for free.

Or we can call it nonsiezeablecoin, freemarkettradecoin, fuckyourbullshitlawscoin, etc etc.

Whenever they ban it, we just call it something new and transfer that 1:1 to that coin, supersupply, monay, cashash, moners, freedom (we will probably need to coin the word coin something else to).

I don't think even this is necessary .

Well they cannot ban Bitcoins , they can try to but one can easily find a million ways to again trade in it , they cannot sit at each and everyone's house and then track every single activity of theirs.
You can just make a wallet which is global , just change your country of origin of just use wallets like samourai and blue wallet where they don't even ask you for pan card and such things.
Trust me , it's just their dream , if they do , people will rebel from the sidelines and this will be worse.

I don't think it's that easy. First of all, even in the perfect situation, this would only be a good solution for people to hold Bitcoin. What is a person's earning it? Or mining? Or gambling? Other international companies won't agree to pay or let you play in your new clone. And earning/gambling in BTC and transferring it to the clone on a regular basis would be illegal. Second of all, a more important point is that it's not realistic. You can make a clone of Bitcoin, sure, but it won't cost nearly as much even if you try to do this 1 shitcoin per 1 bitcoin thing. Not to mention that this requires a lot of effort and probably the whole team of people supporting the new blockchain, an official wallet, regulating the supply and backing up, etc. Finally, countries tend to ban cryptos altogether, not just Bitcoin. And they ban them not based on the name of it (so tearto wouldn't work), but based on what it's really is (a blockchain-based medium for payments, for instance). But nice try, and we have to come up with ways of avoiding the bans anyway.

If my country banned bitcoin, meaning the whole cryptomarket is ban so your altcoins are not exempted whether its bittercoin or what. But I'm confident that I'm living on a good place where we are open for the new technologies like this, banning bitcoin is not good at all they wont succeed on that. I never heard about that bittercoin, but I know if bitcoin is banned in one country you can still use it in other country, which is still good for you.

Anyone can create their own copy of bitcoin, and even then, this won't really mean much in terms of regulations as it will still be under the creation of new, illicit currency and could therefore be grounds for one's prosecution or jail time. While the regulations/ban for bitcoin might be different, I'm pretty sure lawmakers and regulators have already kept that in mind while writing these laws. Changing the name of bitcoin won't do much, and besides, not everyone would surely use it just because some entity renamed it just so they can evade the ban. It will be harder in reality, that's I'm sure of.

Well bittercoin turns out to actually be something, I meant it as a meme (as in we can call bitcoin whatever the fuck we wanted just to avoid the laws, and call cyrptocurreicnes whatever the fuck we wanted to also avoid more laws), did not know something with that name already existed it was a joke.

Just something that is a 1:1 to it, and labeled something else. (not like just has the same supply, but you can always convert the btc to "whatever you want to call it" and back, from a country that allows it.)

If they ban, I can use BISQ to trade it.

And if the price reaches 50k, I get out of the country.

It would not be blockchain tho Tongue It would be fuckyour$lavemoneysuppylink 1:1 ratio of bitcoin preserver

You know they would have to ban RIOT POINTS (League of legends game), STEAM CASH, GIFT CARDS.

In order to ban it.

I will still hide my bitcoin until the government realize the importance of bitcoin and besides they can't know if I still hold bitcoin we are in the world of anonymous so technically we are still safe from the government. We have so many good option, either to sell early or to travel the world and use bitcoin as your currency which is going to become the trend of the future.

it seems like bitcoin in my country has started to be sought after by investors, and the country has begun to look at potential about bitcoin and altcoins, even though until now bitcoin is still not officially registered as an alternative payment tool in stores, but still able to use other wallets such as OVO and FUNDS

There is no way any government can successfully ban bitcoin, as long as the internet is still operational. The worst any government can do in their country is to ban bitcoin exchanges residing in their countries. I use an exchange in my country once in 4months or longer for bitcoin activities. I have my ways around regulations.

Or maybe you can try to use VPN in order to have an access to cryptocurrency instead of creating the whole blockchain from scratch and also why would you think it would be accepted by the country itself if they banned it already? Original is much better than the clone.

true, basically the ban is on its nature as a currency without nationality and boundary
since bitcoin and other cryptos are not backed up or issued by any country
then some governments simply won't acknowledge bitcoin as a legal currency

Governments may be slow with catching up on developments within the crypto world, but they aren't stupid. They are well aware of how many clones we already have pretending to be a better version of Bitcoin. It's common sense that they will wipe the floor with everything related to crypto at once and be done with it for good in such a scenario.

We're already at a point where the issuance of stablecoins by corporations is nearly at a point of becoming threatened. I'm really glad Bitcoin has always been that speculative investment thingy in their point of view. The less of a threat you seem, the more comfortable they are to let it grow further as digital Gold.

Actually this post looks really funny and I can't stop laughing while reading it. Creating a new coin with the conversion rate of 1:1 to bitcoin is ridiculously out of it. And I don't see it happening any time soon. Moreover if cryptocurrency is banned in my country, it will actually be of a major impact in the cryptocurrency sector worldwide because my country is among the top blockchain driven society and I don't see it happening because of what crypto stands for and what it will create in the future.

Cute, but it won't work. Governments know full well how to write laws to prevent these sorts of loopholes. They use purposefully vague language to broadly capture all cryptocurrency-like assets under the law. That's why most ICO tokens already fell under existing securities laws in the US. And that's why the FATF travel rule specifies "virtual assets" instead of "Bitcoin."

people who are in bitcoin are two categories, those who are in it for the profit, those who are in it for the freedom. (you can be in both groups too). but those who are in it for the freedom don't give a shit about bans and altcopycatcoins that are being created out of bitcoin no matter if it is the government who does it, a newbie who creates a shitcoin or big names who create a shitcoin. you can look at the history of bitcoin with all the forkcoins that mutated out of it and all failed to get anybody interested in them.

If it's that easy, then you are saying that Bitcoin is of low value, it will never be that easy even if the government makes the new coin directly it still won't be that easy.
Bitcoin has a high value right now it's not just a matter of price but the bitcoin value that has brought a lot of changes in the online payment system but can be sure that in the coming years more will recognize Bitcoin.

one of reasons why I have even bothered with bitcoin in first place was the fact that it can never be really "banned" anywhere in the world. the governments can always try to do it but they will always fail because bitcoin is the only decentralized system that can not be shut down short of shutting down the whole internet.

as for the clone question, we are already using centralized fiat, why would I want to use a centralized cryptocurrency that is controlled by the same flawed system that led to creation of bitcoin?

Nice Idea but, it will not work. Actually, they are not so dumb as you think. They will ban cryptocurrency and not ONLY Bitcoin. Changing the name will not help in any way.

They are also aware that it is hard to monitor everyone's computer/tablet/mobile. Everyone knows that there are several ways to trade cryptocurrency after the Ban. But, nobody wants to take that risk.

If it gets ban then accept it and move on, rather wasting your time in a Jail. Alternatively, move to a country where it is not illegal.
