Bitcoin vs Gold? Which one you would choose to invest for long term? Why ?

We all have different  prospective regarding the investment , be it long term or short term.

 Bitcoin has been the most amazing invention and has given massive return of investment for those who joined from 2013. From low point in 2013 to 20k in 2017, it has gone from one end to another end. Right now today its trading at $10461 per bitcoin. The prediction is with just 21 million maximum supply it will reach 1 million bucks per coin one day.

Gold has been one of the most popular investment for centuries. Every country or government be it in the past or present always prefer gold reserve over their own currency even to prepare themselves for financial meltdown. Right now GOLD is being traded at $1425/oz.

So my question is which one you would chose for your investment ? Which one you would chose to outperform the other ? GOLD or BITCOIN? Please tell us with a reason why ?

Let me tell you a method to decide which option to choose in every situation.
List the pros of every option and then assign 1 point of every pros.
Also you can decide the proportion of your investment by this method.

For example, when it comes to bitcoin vs gold (just an example)

Bitcoin
Good returns
Good potential
Good liquidity
Low fees

Gold
Good liquidity
Low risk

In this case, 4 points for bitcoin and 2 points for Gold. So investing in bitcoin would be a better choice.
If you want to distribute it among the two then the proportion would be 2:1 meaning about 60% in bitcoin and 40% in gold

Bitcoin was definitely more profitable than gold in the past. But there is no guarantee that things will remain so in the future. Ever since 2017, we have seen the Bitcoin prices tumbling from $20,000 per coin to $3,000 per coin. We have seen altcoins such as Cardano losing 98% of the value during the same duration. Even Ethereum lost 95% of its value during 2018. Now I am not sure whether any of these cryptocurrencies will attain the levels they achieved in 2017 ever again.

Now let's take a look at gold. Ever since 2012, gold has given more than 30% returns. So far this year, gold has given more than 15% returns to those who had invested in it. And central banks continue to amass gold bars (especially those in Russia and China). Demand from individual users in India and other countries remain low, but there are some encouraging signs.

I believe both Gold and Bitcoin are very good investments, that is if you can afford both.
Gold is the quintessential standard of investments and wealth. It's growth and value is
untarnished for years. Bitcoin on the other hand is also remarkable and is the standard
in crypto investments. I think if one possess the capabilities and financial resources to
invest on both, then that is indeed a very profitable and remunerative choice and position.

It's hard to choose between the two because they both have a big chance of making a profit. But I still prefer to invest in BITCOIN. I was one of those who reached the price of 200 $ to 300 $ in those days when I did not believe bitcoin would be worth it.

So today I continue to believe the 20,000 $ price will come back.

Bitcoin vs Gold? this question is classic but always interesting to discuss.
because I hope and believe that one day bitcoin will beat gold, then I prefer investing in bitcoin over gold.

Not without reason I prefer bitcoin over gold. One of them is bitcoin increasingly calculated by most of the big companies in the world.
This is a good sign for bitcoin.I'm very sure too bitcoin can penetrate above 20,000 $.
So it's a choice for me for a long term investment in bitcoin. If I'm lucky there will be a big profit for me from Bitcoin.

You should not invest either only in gold, or only in bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. These are various financial assets with different risks, profitability, liquidity and other functionalities. It is also impossible to tell in advance the percentage ratio of these investments, since it depends on the state of these different types of markets and specific life circumstances. So it is better to keep your funds in various currencies, it will be more reliable.

The problem with the choices given is we don't know the Bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market in the long run(that is, in the next decades), while gold will be what it is during our whole life. But gold is expensive and you won't see big returns from it, even if the geopolitical situation goes from bad to worse. Gold is not feasible for small investor because of too many fees to invest on it.

So the answer would be Gold if one has already a big capital or plans to grow his capital outside the crypto world, but Bitcoin for those of us that have little and the only hope to get a better financial situation is some kind of hyper deflation miracle.

If the question was Cryptocurrencies vs Gold, I would go all in in cryptocurrencies now, however, if I'm allowed to change the portfolio if the situation changes

Gold is very difficult to buy and store comparing it to that of Bitcoin . This makes Gold a bad option to invest in since buying and storing of Gold might an average person a long time to actually get all the paperworks done. But with Bitcoin, anybody can easily obtain it without needing to go through any paperworks in order to own it.  With Bitcoin, you can easily store it without needing a third party to keep them safe comparing to that of Gold. I will also perfer to invest in bitcoin for a long-term rather than Gold.

If for a long term investment I also prefer gold. Because the price of gold is always stable and gold is the real thing that every day we can wear.

But I am also aware that Bitcoin can provide greater profit. And what you are saying is that the peak of Bitcoin's success took place in 2017, where I also had many advantages.

But with the passage of time Bitcoin began to decline. But until now can still give a profit, but depending on the way you invest and trade.

I would put my bet on Bitcoin, simply because bitcoin is just starting it only start in 2009 yet it has now become a trend, it has a high value and high volatility rate compared to gold. Bitcoin was likely made for investment, to become an asset like gold but more contemporary. Gold takes a lot of space while Bitcoin could only be stored in a secured drive which saves a lot of space. Gold is not attainable for small investors, unlike bitcoin. But despite their differences, they have their own strengths that can not found in other one.

Both Bitcoin and god have there own uniqueness and features I believed we shouldn't ignore one for another because the diversify strategy are the best way of making passive and intact income using both we be good.
Mind you, fiat currency are losing value everyday but Bitcoin and gold are the only liberation we have. Besides, Bitcoin is not the only digital store now for gold also a digital store either through Digital gold token project platform.

In my opinion, bitcoin and gold are only similar in that they have a limited number of their volumes.  One could say that Bitcoin and gold are by far the most sought-after asset for investing, but I believe that gold is more stable than Bitcoin.  Although Bitcoin can bring dozens of times more profit, at the same time a very big risk remains.

I believe that Gold is very stable and it is the most sought after history, it cannot be compared with BItcoin, Bitcoin is 10 years old, Bitcoin has a lifetime, in time immemorial the payment method was through gold.

The only thing comparable between Bitcoin and Gold, is that both represent money, and to have a complete diversification it is of high priority to have gold, as an alternative option that can be used before any event.

Bitcoin is just for short-term, high risk, high reward investment. If you're aiming for long-term investments, I would go for gold. Some reasons include but not limited to: Gold's price is more stable and is most likely to increase in price since its supply is limited, Gold is something tangible while Bitcoin just exists in the digital world, and you'll be likely to sell your Bitcoin earlier since price dips would drive your emotion and destroy your hopes of long-term investment.

I prefer bitcoin over gold. Today Bitcoin has grown to become the most popular digital currency. So that bitcoin is more potential to provide greater profits than gold. With a limited amount of only 21 million coins in the world. Will make the price of bitcoin increase with increasing demand for bitcoin. While the amount of gold cannot be estimated with certainty because until now gold continues to be mined.

I preferred to invest Bitcoin over gold because now it has a high value which is very good because a lot of people will benefits on it as long as you'll hold it, the more profits you will get because day by day Bitcoin get's stronger. I will choose Bitcoin as my long term investment and also gold for short term investment I guess this is pretty good idea.
