perhaps we at Icarus can revive this idea and think about how we could make it a reality for our community

i think with Danielle from polymerbit we have definitely one of the right person to talk to
he has been using this method (instead of holograms) for his polymerbit notes for about two? years now

I'll talk with him, but I can't think of any item made of metal that has had a scratch off. I wonder if that's a big issue and can be done in mass....probably.   It would be a good tool to have in the shed.
