Bounty Projects Paying Out in Bitcoin or Ethereum Instead of Bounty Native Token

For the fact that many projects in the cryptocurrency ecosystem doing bounties pay bounty hunters in their native tokens thereby blaming hunters for the dump in price most at times. I think it will be more preferable to have rewards paid in bitcoin or ethereum in order to save bounty hunters from receiving blames unnecessarily. I took part recently in a bounty (ANYONE project) and the payment is in btc though still awaiting payment but we're saved from unnecessary bickerings relating to price.
If on this bounty space we can get rewards in these currencies (btc or ethereum) it will do more good because after payout everybody faces their business and it will be left for the project team to see to how value could be added to their token or project as I can term it.

It's quite glaring and painful at the same time, bounty hunters are at the receiving end. In some cases, bounty managers change the rules with utmost disregard to hunters. I partook in a bounty just recently, where the BM was looking for a different excuse to cut down the rewards in their own native token seeing that price of the token skyrocket after their IEO and not allocating the agreed percentage to those tagged successful thereby denying hunters of what should have accrued them.

Any suggestion on the way forward that could be of help to bounty hunters having fair treatment and not be treated as a piece of rag after successful project campaign(s)? I want to learn from others experiences on the forum.

Just like most commenters must have pointed out, i aggree with the fact that projects may not have the amount of eth or BTC to pay hunters. Removing such amount from their collections may ruin their running costs especially in this age where the number of bonuses may be x2000 of the supposed ‘IEO or ICO’ price

They must spend ETH and BTC, but I don't think that they all have the amounts of the coins for payment. Second, they may expect that the token or coin will spread easily through the bounty hunters. And of course, it will not always be a matter of blaming because token allocation for bounty hunters is commonly limited, only around 2%.
But, we also know that there have been several projects with ETH and BTC payment and you can find them on the board services in this forum. However, they are limited for only several participants with limited campaigns.

team prefer using fund collected in btc or ethereum for their development cost moreover if they have no initail fund when projects started.only bonafide projects with angel investors that able pay bounty campaign using major coins bitcoin, ethreum, xrp or other coins.and usually this kind of projects have good quality.

Most project managers consider bounty hunters as the overall dumpers and consider paying hunter in bitcoin and ethereum and yet these tokens are dump when it gets listed. I will say it many times already and will say it once more, the team doesn't have initial money to fund their project that is why they are launching an ICO to fund it. One thing more, they don't want to risk their own money into a project that is not 100% successful. We know that some of the projects right now are either scam or doesn't reach their soft cap ending in abandoning it.

Bounties that pay directly in bitcoin or Ethereum are more attractive, because at least their teams have their own funds to run marketting, rather than using free tokens that they own built from their projects. Teams get those tokens for free, so they won't lose anything if their marketing fails. When they have to pay a cost to run their projects' marketing, it is somehow a good indicator that they might put serious initiatives in their projects.

it can done by bonafide projects, and we see it rarely in this market.most of developers team have no fund while they start projects, and depend on investors in their IEO or ICO.and we have no certainity that they will pay us , moreover if projects failed in crowdfunding.

What i care is bounty paying with coin and its worthed/ not one of many shitcoin, i am join so many bounty and now collected more than hundred coin erc that i cant sell, its sad

The reason why everyone wants to get paid in bitcoin or ETH is because they don't want to wait when bounty is over,they want quick rewards,i prefer to get paid in tokens because it will be a lot profitable than getting paid in ETH or btc

There are times it works the way you have talked but on many cases as well they turn out to be decorations on our wallets. Not quick reward as such but being sure that your effort will not be a waste at the end of the bounty.

bounty selection must be done well, not only by seeing high reward allocations, but who manages the bounty or BM is one of the important requirements in selecting each bounty.

Your last paragraph really caught my attention and it’s a salient point to always take into cognizance the bounty manager and not just allocations. Is there any way some tested and trusted bounty managers can be posted in order for us to always look out for projects they handle? Because these ones already has projects they handled before with good success rates.

I agree that the bounty manager determines the results we get. Bounty managers who have a reputation will definitely not manage projects that are not clear. A new project would prefer to pay bounty hunters with their own tokens because they don't need to buy from the market and also to increase awardness on their tokens

I agree but I think only a few projects do it. A project pays with its own tokens because trading in the market is more attractive. In addition, the purpose of payment is to own the token so that the token holder increases and is not only dominated by several people

It's not but the team was thinking if what they have been raised is much better rather than their coins. Only a few percents from the total icos that implemented the buyback used bitcoin or ethereum. but it looks like you are miss understood about that.

I don't like bounties like that. There are many reasons, and one of the main reasons is: there are many people involved, and there are low budgets ..
And if you join, you won't get too much money.
I like to receive their tokens because I can be rich if their project succeeds

Irrespective of who the person is, most project would prefer to always pay with their token, because that is how they will continue to promote it, they can actually pay in this coins if they want to, and the only way they can pay with this is when they erase this from their mentality that they are doing bounty hunters a favor, favor in the sense that they feel their token will be worth more in future which the hunter will be the one to benefit more.

They fail to understand that the hunter could still lose big time if the project fails, and then the hunter is a worker, which means he would have worked in vein. The need to start seeing hunter like an office worker and our money needs to be paid at the end of the work, so best is to just use bitcoin and Ethereum as payment.

I too agree with this idea especially after being deceived by many bounty managers and campaigns who either reduce bounty reward drastically while some do not pay anything in the name of low funds raised or soft cap not reached, all these situations exploit bounty work that is being done regularly and takes a lot of time and edfort and hunters need security too so i would go one step and say that bounty campaigns should pay in btc or eth and send payment weekly for work done. Period.

You are right though, that is getting paid in BTC or ETH; this will encourage participants of course but most projects won't do such. Only few which promised to pay in BTC or ETH fulfilled their promises. Also, most times they are used as bait to lure participants. On the other hand getting paid with the project's token can be profitable too depending on the project and the team. I think there is hardly anything participants can do in cases where rules changes as the BM is always in charge.

I think its not that much easy and feasible for projects to pay in ETH or Bitcoin. Paying in this format, they will actually spend the budget. Paying in native tokens, projects know the real price of the token and can spend less actually. If the same amount of payout is made in ETH or Bitcoin, probably bounty hunters will not choose the project considering less rewards for the tasks they are doing.

now it is not as popular as half a year ago when every second project did not pay to bounty hunters. Now everything is fairer, but the terms of payments are still very long

I partook in SERO article bounty recently, to my greatest surprise and of course I haven’t seen or heard such since I started bounty that disqualified participants stakes will be deducted from the normal reward pool. It’s a total mess issuing 25 Sero coin per stake just because the coin did well in the market. Some bounty managers and developers are so exploitative and hunters are at their messy. Just a pathetic situation.

It's somewhat difficult to ask a bounty to pay in ETH or BTC. As usual, an ICO is held to raise fund, which means its dev team are financially difficult. Paying in native tokens help them with this. Yes paying by ETH or BTC is the thing that every bounty hunter would want but this kind of bounty should be available in well known and listed coins, and hence, very rare.

Bounties paying in ETH or BTC is of a truth rare, some of these bounty managers changes rule towards the end of bounties sometimes if the token or coin is doing well on exchanges let’s say during IEO because that’s the latest trend. Imagine a project paying $6 after over a month’s work for article/blog bounty.
