Updated September 29, 2019 - Pexa Pool Auto-updating Roadmap OverviewPexa Project was officially launched on 8 July 2019 with a vision of simplifying the cryptoscape with a range of revolutionary suite of blockchain applications that are powered by the project’s own cryptocurrency, Pexa Coin.
The Pexa Project aims to simplify crypto, making it accessible to those with little, to no tech experience. Currently, the tech of miners, mining pools, wallets, daemons, seeds, etc. create a barrier to entry for many people. Pexa Project and the Pexa Digital Application suite aims to remove these barriers.
The first barrier Pexa Project is tearing down has to do with mining pools. At this time, there are limited options for mining pool software, all of which require a level of expertise in Linux and compiling/troubleshooting software. Pexa Pools addresses this issue by offering custom created mining software, available at the touch of a button. Through a beautiful, yet simple user interface, Pexa Pool users will be able to deploy brandable and scalable mining pool solutions without ever touching a piece of code.
Check out the youtube video:
Pexa Pools will be hosted on more than one kubernetes cluster dependent on region, with a multi-tenant approach. Every pool will have its own database, stratum server and brandable front-end, all managed through the Pexa Pool UI. You will be able to deploy as many stratum servers, and domains as you’d like.
As the project develops and grows, more revolutionary applications will be added to the Pexa Project.
Ultimately, the Pexa Project aims to become a community project whereby anyone is able to contribute and add to the project. It is not owned by one individual or a team of developers but instead is operated and worked on by volunteers. The goal would be to open source the pool software, however, for the sake of moving fast, and since the current version of the software is so complex, open sourcing will need to be iterated on.
What is Pexa’s purpose? The Pexa Project supports the Pexa Digital application suite. All Pexa applications will accept Pexa Coin as the currency to pay for the services. We’re really excited to bring light a plethora of projects that will solve problems in both the Crypto and Non-Crypto worlds.
Technology behind Pexa PoolsThis will be the first known mining pool to run on a kubernetes cluster. Scaling your blockchain and all of your mining pools will be a sinch, because kubernetes will allow us to declaratively state what resources your mining pool will be required. These pools will be incredibly fast, and efficient pieces of software. Currently we have numerous different services required to run this project at scale.
The application layer is a backend server written in modern PHP, specifically using Laravel. Laravel has allowed us to rapidly build a GraphQL endpoint and quickly create APIs for the front-end of the mining pool to communicate with. All searches through the application will be done with Elasticsearch, providing incredible speed to find data in your pool that you need.
The ingress layer of the project reasons about the domain coming in, so we know which pool to show. This is incredibly powerful, because every auto-deployed pool will have it’s own domain! For instance, if you created your own crypto coin and wanted to fire up a pool with it, you can opt in to a private RPC structure, host your own crypto node, and connect to it via your pool. Let’s say you created AwesomeCoin. You can fire up a mining pool at pool.AwesomeCoin.com by simply directing a record in your DNS to our servers. Now you have a customizable, brandable pool available for your coin with the click of a button!
Building the project out was a serious issue at the beginning; however, the current process we used has improved greatly over the last month, which has allowed us to iterate on the technology rather quickly.

The Team Behind the Pexa ProjectRyan Hein is the core-developer and founder of the Pexa Project. Ryan started developing software when he was just 14 years old. Ryan picked up PHP in 2004 and started building websites. He then went on to serve in the US Marine Corps for 5 years from 2008-2013, deployed to Afghanistan in 2011.
Ryan also ran an agency building website applications for small businesses around the United States. Software has always been a huge part of Ryan’s life. Building useful things has always been Ryan’s dream. The question Ryan asks himself before any new endeavor he takes on is “how many people can I serve?” Ryan strongly believes that serving people is the single most important thing any human being can do. Ryan believes that the Pexa Project will remove many barriers in the cryptosphere, increasing adoption and furthering cryptocurrency a legitimate way to do business.
Ryan also has a team of crypto enthusiasts, volunteers and veterans that help support Ryan by assisting with marketing, community building, community management, networking and branding so that Ryan can focus on what he does best, code and build!
