Updated September 29, 2019 - Pexa Pool Auto-updating Roadmap

Overview

Pexa Project was officially launched on 8 July 2019 with a vision of simplifying the cryptoscape with a range of revolutionary suite of blockchain applications that are powered by the project’s own cryptocurrency, Pexa Coin.

The Pexa Project aims to simplify crypto, making it accessible to those with little, to no tech experience. Currently, the tech of miners, mining pools, wallets, daemons, seeds, etc. create a barrier to entry for many people. Pexa Project and the Pexa Digital Application suite aims to remove these barriers.

The first barrier Pexa Project is tearing down has to do with mining pools. At this time, there are limited options for mining pool software, all of which require a level of expertise in Linux and compiling/troubleshooting software. Pexa Pools addresses this issue by offering custom created mining software, available at the touch of a button.  Through a beautiful, yet simple user interface, Pexa Pool users will be able to deploy brandable and scalable mining pool solutions without ever touching a piece of code.

Check out the youtube video:

Pexa Pools will be hosted on more than one kubernetes cluster dependent on region, with a multi-tenant approach. Every pool will have its own database, stratum server and brandable front-end, all managed through the Pexa Pool UI. You will be able to deploy as many stratum servers, and domains as you’d like.

As the project develops and grows, more revolutionary applications will be added to the Pexa Project.

Ultimately, the Pexa Project aims to become a community project whereby anyone is able to contribute and add to the project.  It is not owned by one individual or a team of developers but instead is operated and worked on by volunteers. The goal would be to open source the pool software, however, for the sake of moving fast, and since the current version of the software is so complex, open sourcing will need to be iterated on.

What is Pexa’s purpose?

The Pexa Project supports the Pexa Digital application suite. All Pexa applications will accept Pexa Coin as the currency to pay for the services. We’re really excited to bring light a plethora of projects that will solve problems in both the Crypto and Non-Crypto worlds.

Technology behind Pexa Pools

This will be the first known mining pool to run on a kubernetes cluster. Scaling your blockchain and all of your mining pools will be a sinch, because kubernetes will allow us to declaratively state what resources your mining pool will be required. These pools will be incredibly fast, and efficient pieces of software. Currently we have numerous different services required to run this project at scale.

The application layer is a backend server written in modern PHP, specifically using Laravel. Laravel has allowed us to rapidly build a GraphQL endpoint and quickly create APIs for the front-end of the mining pool to communicate with. All searches through the application will be done with Elasticsearch, providing incredible speed to find data in your pool that you need.

The ingress layer of the project reasons about the domain coming in, so we know which pool to show. This is incredibly powerful, because every auto-deployed pool will have it’s own domain! For instance, if you created your own crypto coin and wanted to fire up a pool with it, you can opt in to a private RPC structure, host your own crypto node, and connect to it via your pool. Let’s say you created AwesomeCoin. You can fire up a mining pool at pool.AwesomeCoin.com by simply directing a record in your DNS to our servers. Now you have a customizable, brandable pool available for your coin with the click of a button!

Building the project out was a serious issue at the beginning; however, the current process we used has improved greatly over the last month, which has allowed us to iterate on the technology rather quickly.

The Team Behind the Pexa Project

Ryan Hein is the core-developer and founder of the Pexa Project. Ryan started developing software when he was just 14 years old. Ryan picked up PHP in 2004 and started building websites. He then went on to serve in the US Marine Corps for 5 years from 2008-2013, deployed to Afghanistan in 2011.

Ryan also ran an agency building website applications for small businesses around the United States. Software has always been a huge part of Ryan’s life. Building useful things has always been Ryan’s dream. The question Ryan asks himself before any new endeavor he takes on is “how many people can I serve?” Ryan strongly believes that serving people is the single most important thing any human being can do. Ryan believes that the Pexa Project will remove many barriers in the cryptosphere, increasing adoption and furthering cryptocurrency a legitimate way to do business.

Ryan also has a team of crypto enthusiasts, volunteers and veterans that help support Ryan by assisting with marketing, community building, community management, networking and branding so that Ryan can focus on what he does best, code and build!

Talented dev and a killer use case.  It's good to finally see a legit new coin amongst the scams and masternode shitcoins.  I'll have my miners pointed at this for the foreseeable future.

Open tools -> options -> open configuration file
Add the following:

addnode=us-west-1.pexaproject.com:8235
addnode=us-east-1.pexaproject.com:8235
addnode=pool.pexa.dev:8235

Close and re-open Pexa wallet.

Should do the trick.

Well I did the config Add nodes. it showed it sync up to 100% but I am still getting in the bottom, Synchronizing with network. 2 weeks behind???

UPDATE!

It is syncing now shows 8 days behind and dropping so I believe everything is good! I guess it was just being a little slow. After all I pretty much mine on a calculator... lol  My Raspberry Pi B is only about half as slow lmao!

yeah , i am mining it but the fact that it was first (little) announced on medium on 8 july isn't the best thing they could do , why almost 2 weeks later on bitcointalk while you must knew that the most off miners would be right waiting here on bitcointalk , nice mining for 2 weeks but , to be honest , we can't say anything because ,

it was announced

so the good thing is : no pre-,mine

bad thing was : bad announcement on medium only

even worse: there were blocks with 50 coins reward during 1st day of the launch https://www.0769.it/explorer/PEXA?height=1002

first 11k blocks had 50 coins reward each. 550k premine some might say

there is some explanation from team in discord:

Block reward was reduced to 5. PEXA is a raven fork. Raven integrated DGW (dark gravity wave difficulty adjustment) but not at block1  (I tihnk it was like block 300k or something on raven) it was an oversight that we didn't have DGW from the get go. Once it was realized, DGW was activated, and block reward had to be reduced to 5, else the complete supply would have been emitted in a matter of months. Whereas the purpose of the coin is to be spent on Pexa services, it would have been incredibly damaging to have coin emission end so early.  I'm happy to answer any other questions you guys have about emissions

brewhaus Today at 7:58 PM
nah it wasn't forgotten, we knew it was integrated into Raven.  What we missed was that it didn't activate in raven until a much later block...as Raven integrated DGW months after they launched
because when raven began, it was cpu mineable only...when gpus came on the scene, it became a problem for them, which they solved with DGW

and the same time: difference between 1st and 2nd blocks is 1 day, they mined 1st block for testing and then launched network afterwards, so they saw 50 coins reward, but did nothing about it

Quote
brewhaus Today at 8:57 PM
It should also be noted, the first block was mined as a test to ensure the chain was functioning. You will see the time difference between the first and second blocks. For accuracy sake. Hope this info helps!

Currently there are two parts to the Pexa Project. The first part of the Pexa Project is the minting of a new crypto currency, Pexa Coin ($PEXA). The second part of the Pexa project is Pexa Pool, allows users to deploy mining pools at the click of a button. No development experience necessary. An entrepreneur with designs to run the next big mining pool in the crypto space?Configure, brand, deploy and manage the pool with expertly crafted UI.

Nice thread
You have a very high rank, don't you have more accurate words than "nice thread". give a better example to beginners.
I think this company is good, to minimize problems in the world of technology, I read that this company aims to solve problems in the world of crypto and non-cypto. but I don't see what price for Pexa Coin if I have a PEXA application? You mentioned that you will have Pexa Coin if you use all PEXA applications.
