Am i losing the whole 2500 USD? Blockchain wallet...

I hope you all are having a good day. Its a terrible day for me anyway.

I was using blockchain wallet for a long time now. Never had any issue really. Recently they introduced SWAP option. I decided to give it a try. I swapped 2500USD of my ETH to PAX(USD). I have received the PAX in my wallet but the ETH balance is showing Negative 2500USD. If i want to swap the pax or sent the pax to other wallet i need ETH to transfer or SWAP the ERC token PAX.

For my -2500 USD ETH balance i am not able to transfer/swap the PAX balance.


My total balance is now negative.

I contacted their support by opening a ticket at their website but i read a lot bad things about their support that they never replay or get back to you.

I am clueless.. Did i lose my 2500 USD? I am trapped!

Blockchain wallet known for their lot of bugs so it might be one of it.

Just close the wallet and open it later you might see the balance on it,I used their swap to convert bitcoin to eth and vice versa but not for other coins so not having any experience with converting to USD.

This is one of the reasons I don venture into all this swap until am 100% sure that I fully understand what I want to venture into. Meanwhile am not sure your funds there lost since you have recieved your PAX. Why don't you  try log out and in again.

This is one of the reasons I don venture into all this swap until am 100% sure that I fully understand what I want to venture into. Meanwhile am not sure your funds there lost since you have recieved your PAX. Why don't you  try log out and in again.

One button swap can go the wrong way, this is a perfect exsmple, I prefer to trade the native way through proper exchange sites, I think your option is to wait for their support's explanation on what happened and the most probable solution.

Swap can be wuite helpful as well when someone like anonymity and not having enough patience to move funds from wallet to exchange then do trading and then again move back to the wallet it also causes transaction fee.

it's a new feature and it looks like you are not a lucky person because your amount goes stuck caused by the bug that is not yet solved by the team, it looks like this thing needs a lot of time to be solved. Your amount got stuck dude.

I think your money can still be saved, but you must be patient waiting for a reply from support because usually they reply in a long time

I have tried tried everything possible. I changed browser. Tried incognito. Logged out and logged in thousands time. Literally everything that can be done. Its been more than 30 hours now.

I contacted them via support ticket and twitter. No response yet.

I am worried and I don't really know how else to contact them regarding the issue.


Lesson Learnt : Do not put your money to somewhere offers poor or no quicker support options at all.

I advice you stay patient 2500 usd is alot of money.. do not feel discouraged about what you've read.. contact them on every social media outlet at your dispersal until you get some kind of response from them ...

Blockchain wallet's support service works very nicely. I'm sure if they don't have a suspicion, they'il easily solve it.

but isn't it normal?
you say you swapped (bought?) an ERC20 token with your ethereum tokens so your balance should be missing the same amount you bought meaning it should show $2500 less.
and also it is normal to be paying the fee with ETH when you are trying to transfer an ERC20 token on their blockchain, that is how things work. you need to have kept some ETH in your wallet to cover the fees.

I think you will not lose it. Wait patiently, or you can reset the application a few times. This may be the display error of the application. And if every attempt doesn't return your money, it's best to contact support again

Red-Apple. I had 2500 USD that I swapped to PAX. The ETH balance should be ZERO instead -2500 USD. I need .02USD in ETH to Swap or send the PAX.

I think it is a bug or something from their system. I am just worried if their support will respond. Still waiting..

Blockchain.info does it again, Well it can't be helped because this is a clear Bug, And I can see many complaints about the past bug some have recently discovered, I guess this will not change until a support team will be more than happy of service to fix and explain to the many complaints people are experiencing with their site.

I have seen users that can't log in to their accounts, Many complaints of theft over their Bitcoin, Unresponsive Supports, And right now with the new Swap feature I guess it is in the developer's fault that all this bug had recently have been seen.

I have once swapped from bitcoin to ethereum on blockchain never have any issue like this, although it was somehow slow but i got the equivalent amount i swapped. i don't think your money is trapped, contact their support and wait for their response.

I understand your experience but this time you need to be calm. Out of gas when sending ETH or token or this case, swap to PAX but your account balance should be showing zero instead -2500$ as you said.
I think maybe it's a bug and with wishful thinking, maybe your coin is safe. Try your best to contact the site support of your account balance at.

Are there any other ways to contact their support? Telegram community?
Well, sometimes, there are some errors or bugs in the wallet or exchanges. If nothing happens later and still negative, you should contact their support again and try for several times until they approached you.
Actually, I'm so sorry to hear that, 2500USD is not a small amount. But be patient, you can wait for several moments and hope your funds will be back.

If actually it's a swap issue, your funds are still there, just close and open the wallet or if possible check if there is an update, so you can update the wallet to the latest version. I've seen people with similar issues and it was resolved without contacting support.

Hopefully your fund is still safe, will advice you await eye response from the support as they are in the best position to give the right answer. At times it might take days but they will eventually answer you. I had  a similar issue, I got my reply I think on the 5th day and everything was settled

They actually are replying to this kind of concern so you have to wait until they get back to you. It's a bug that circulates within their swap feature.

Give them until 24 hours to respond on your concern. I think I've tried their swap feature before and it's kind of slow because they really are looking for buy and sell orders. Have you checked the history of your transaction? and have you downloaded their app and try to log in there?
