I think no one can guarantee that bitcoin really is in the future. Indeed, as a technology, bitcoin still has a negative side as well as a positive side. Technology definitely needs improvement so that it can continue to provide the best but all improvements to bitcoin cannot be done. Indeed there are limitations in bitcoin so that the lack of bitcoin is covered by the advantages of other coins. We can partially agree on the fact that Bitcoins might be the future. Although many services have already started accepting Bitcoins as a source of payment but not all governments are in favour of that. For example: recently only the Indian government has banned Bitcoins and have decided to charge a 10 year imprisonment for an Indian to hold Bitcoins which is pointless.

I think Bitcoin has a strong team so they can continue to survive until now even for the future, that's not able to be competitive by the newborn Crypto today. And I personally believe Bitcoin will continue to survive even though it will be born a lot of coins with more advanced features.

For me, bitcoin is considered as the main one because its the true bitcoin is the main one or principal one, bitcoin is the first successful cryptocurrency and the success of bitcoin result high price, high demand, creating new crypto, etc. But bitcoin is limited to an estimated 21 million and reaching on its limit it will be difficult to mine bitcoin. But it thinks in the future another cryptocurrency will rise and will be the next step or evolution of cryptocurrency that will be much better than bitcoin.

bitcoin is decentralized and its creator is anonymous which makes people feel more confident that it will not have influence from its creator (pump and dump) ... and has a large community that gets involved in bitcoin development. other altcoins are very centralized and have no real world use

The subject of mining and energy is completely relative. The energy consumed in today's conditions will not be the same as the future. Perhaps, as a result of some technological developments, energy consumption will decrease. I think we have more important problems, such as legal regulations.

Bitcoin mining is not that difficult per se, so the alleged simplification is not needed. Energy consumption by the Bitcoin network is not dependent on the number of transactions per hour(as some journalists think), but rather it depends on the number of miners. The more miners in the network, the higher the difficulty target so that each new block was mined not faster than in 10 minutes. If, for some reasons, 90% of the current miners would stop mining, the network would work just as fine, but the energy consumption would decrease 10 times.
