Actually, I made the same mistake that we common Bangladeshi fans do, we often forget that format plays a big role in a team's performance. For example, I compared the T20 series or format with the Test series and that's where I was wrong.

Exactly. A single player can change the game result in a short format of cricket. You have to perform constantly in test cricket, and you have to play well every day to win a test. But things are much easier for short formats. You will have to play better for a couple of overs against a team. A single player can play 20 overs. But a single player cannot surely play for a day or two. This happens rarely.

No matter how strong a team is, they should not take the opponent lightly. Bangladesh lost the T20I against most of the weaker teams. There was a time Bangladesh didn't care about Afghanistan. Today Afghanistan play better T20 than Bangladesh Team.

You are also right, but from my point of view I think to be a strong team in every format their is kust need the team work but unfortunately in current day when we saw the Bangladesh squad there is only few players are doing a little bit good performance and on the others hand when the poncho Pnadyop were in the team I am talking about Musfiq, Mahmudullah, Mashrafi, Tamim, Shakib when they were in team Bangladesh team was in good form but in current day we couldn't find any player like that squad where we saw the team work and that's why we are facing the worst situation.

Recently, the West Indies team had a draw in a tour match with New Zealand XI so we can expect a little bit of hope that maybe in the test matches they may perform better. In that tour match, WI had some excellent batting where they lost five wickets and scored 346 runs.

New Zealand will start there ICC World Test Championship campaign tomorrow by playing test match against West Indies tomorrow. In current ICC World Test Championship, West Indies have played 5 test matches and they have lost all of them. New Zealand is favourite for this three test match series to be played at their home. West Indies is good in T20 occasionally but they don't have the ability to win test match specially against SENA countries. West Indies board really need to do some serious efforts on their test squad to improve there performance.

Test format is always needed good technique of skills and patience because these were trademarked in this format, but now recent revolution brings serious changes and patience is almost ended just good skills and technique are helping teams for having good results like Travis Head.

Depending on one or two players never make any good contribution because it's game of 11 players and having all balanced not easy still have 6 to 8 surely giving good advantage like in SENA countries, they are not having one player policy it's working only in subcontinent, and they are also facing consequences as well, but sadly they fail to bring changes like happen in India vs South Africa test and first ODI result because of Virat Kohli.

I agree that the conditions are tough at the Hagley Oval. The pitch offers uneven bounce and seam movement, and thereby favors the pace bowlers. It will be fun during the second innings, when Matt Henry comes out to bowl along with the company of Nathan Smith, Zak Foulkes and Jacob Duffy. Even now Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales are creating a lot of issues for the Kiwi batsmen. An ideal total would be somewhere around 300 to 350, and anything above that would be bonus for New Zealand. BTW, they have already lost three wickets (two of them to Justin Greaves).

Well, the newcomers also expect the time that BC gave to these five players. They have played for Bangladesh for a long time, and they weren't performing consistently. The same goes for others as well. Mushfiq became dependable once he was halfway through his career.

The newbie players also expect the same tolerance and investments. The problem is in BCB. They do not take care of under-19 cricket. If India can have too many young talents who doesn't have to play 50 matches to prove themself, why Bangladesh cannot do it? It's because divisional cricket seems doesn't even exist in Bangladesh.

It is not just the U-19 team. The BCB also ignores their A and domestic teams. As a result of this, the player pool is limited and therefore the BCB is forced to experiment with the same players again and again. For the emerging players, the only avenue is to play domestic cricket in countries such as England or Australia, if they want to improve their skillset. No other gateways are available for them. Look at the recently concluded test match between Ireland and Bangladesh. Once again, it was the senior players who starred in that win. And what will happen if they are unavailable for selection?

At the beginning, New Zealand lost their first wicket on the first run of the team, then a partnership of 93 runs was built, but after the fall of the second wicket on 94 runs, they fell for 5 wickets for 120 runs. Now New Zealand will only rely on these two batsmen Tom Blundell and Michael Bracewell, especially if these two batsmen can build a big partnership, then New Zealand's score can be big. Although New Zealand lost just one wicket in the first session, they subsequently lost four wickets in just 32.1 overs.

Yes New Zealand versus West Indies Day 1 is first Test match between New Zealand and the West Indies that is now happening in Christchurch. West Indians got first chance, and chose to bowl first, and found pitch good for them, as they took early wickets, among which was Devon Conway, who was gotten out by Kemar Roach, without scoring. New Zealand team has been well behaved and returning star Kane Williamson has played very important part in keeping innings together as rest of batsmen struggle to score good number in their first innings of match which was at 148/5.

West Indies has really decline in longer format especially from recent few years and the reason may be player were much more focused on franchise league as well as individual performance and somehow thier board were leaking at thier responsibilities to facilitate domestic players, anyway I taught kiwis will scored huge as they have home ground advantage, but surprinsgly they just scored 231 and lose 9 of thier wickets which really indicates how beautifully track were utilize by west indies pacer, hope so west indies will entertain us little bit rather than Turing match into one sided and collapse hardly at thier innings.

Even then, I have a lot of doubts whether West Indies will be able to take the lead in the first innings.

His inclusion clearly imply England is scared of their batting otherwise don't see a point in replacing a fast bowler with batting all rounder that too a spin one in pink ball test .. on funny note two KKR legend Gauti & Baz killing test cricket with too much bits n pieces cricketers 

Test will be 3 days max , Starc will run through English Batting line up & smith to score 100 ....there is a potential for innings defeat here for England.

Keeping in view the performance of West Indies in ongoing WTC, I would say they have done a fair job on first day of first test. Nine wickets have gone down for 231 runs and now it all depends on West Indies batting. If West Indies batting can level New Zealand first innings total only then they have the chance to stay in this test. West Indies tried 6 bowlers and all of them picked wickets, we can say its team contribution in bowling because no bowler was able to pick more then 2 wickets.

In Quad e Azam Trophy, the final game is continue between Karachi Region Blue and Sialkot Region, Karachi Region Blue won the toss and elected to bat first and Karachi Region Blue opens inning with Saad Baig and Abdullah Fazal and both the opener's give a very positive start to team and Saad Baig scores a well inning of 39 runs and Abdullah Fazal was in very good touch and scores a well knock of 88 runs and after team seemed to be struggled but then Usman Khan scores a well inning of 82 runs and in lower order Saqib Khan scores a well knock of 33 runs and at the end of first inning Karachi Region Blue scores 340 runs. Sialkot Region opens inning with Muhammad Hurraira and Azan Awais and Azan Awais lost his wicket early on 2 runs and at the end of day 1 scores 13 runs with the loss of one wicket.

Sialkot Region did not have good start to their batting as they ended First day with 13 runs and 1 wicket but they fought back well on Second day with Hamza Nazar 62 runs and Mohsin Riaz with 71 runs scoring well. At end of Day 2, Karachi stays in lead, but Sialkot has made distance smaller and is now within 105 runs. And Sialkot is at 235/6, so let's what they will do and much they will give lead to Karachi.

Tagenarine Chanderpaul was batting so well, but immediately after the tea he fell to Zak Foulkes. The track at Hagley Oval offers a lot of assistance to the pace bowlers (in my previous post I already mentioned about it). So far West Indies has lost 6 wickets, and half of those went to Matt Henry. Zak Foulkes picked up two wickets, and his current test bowling average stands at 9.73!!!! Kemar Roach and Tevin Imlach are at the crease now, and they are at 140/6. I don't expect West Indies to reach 200. New Zealand should be able to secure a first innings lead in excess of 50 runs.

This first Test between New Zealand and West Indies was played between the West Indies team in which the West Indies team won the toss and elected to field first, which gave the New Zealand team the opportunity to bat first. They played 70 over and scored 231 run. It was not that great but it was not good either. Kane Williamson only scored a half century and no one scored more than that which is why it cannot be called a good performance. The Indies team also took advantage of the weather and bowled well and kept the pressure on the first team. The match ended in rain due to which the match had to be ended in 70 over. If the player of the West Indies team show a good performance, then it is not difficult to score 231 runs in 70 overs. The rest depends on their performance. Now let see how it turns out. New Zealand performance showed that they might lose.
