In Group A of the 2024–2026 Cricket World Cup Challenge League, we have crucial matches scheduled for tomorrow. Danmark will take on Qatar at Farmers Cricket Club Ground, while Papua New Guinea will play against Kenya at Grainville Cricket Ground. Both Kenya and PNG will be desperate for a win, as they are falling further behind Kuwait for the race to finish among the top-2. Jersey is far ahead of the other teams, and it is almost guaranteed that they will finish at top-2.

With time their performance was supposed to improve but Kenya went down in performance and now Kenya can't even compete in tournaments where team like Kuwait, Jersey are playing. Kenya is 6th on points table of CWC Challenge League Group A 2024-2026 just ahead of Qatar. Same scenario happened with Zimbabwe, now Zimbabwe is trying to make a return in international cricket but it's becoming harder for them.

Regional One Day Cup

Speen Ghar beat Boost Region in Regional one Day Tournament by 66 runs. Win was orchestrated by splendid innings of opener of Speen Ghar, Barakzai, who scored 139 runs and remained there up to end of game. His team was able to lose just two wickets managing to score of 309 runs. Boost Region came up with poor first move as they lost their first batsmen Hazratullah on duck. Team could not maintain required score although another team player Rehmat scored fifty runs. They could not score runs as quickly as they used to do and ended up with 243 runs, which was by far short of required run.

I am not much very familiar with this competition but  match among Speen Ghar and Boost Region squads was quite interesting. Regional One Day competition has just started and many matches are still left to be played. Boost Region squad still has plenty of chances to improve their ranking and make progress within their squad. In this sixth match, Speen Ghar Region squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 309 scored after playing 50 overs inning with lost of 2 wickets just. Barakzai Nasari and Yousuf Shah both batters were top scorer of this match and both collected 86 and 139 scores respectively. Boost Region squad faced heavy defeat with big scores 66 and test achieved 243 scores. Thanks to Mohammadullah bowler for great bowling and restricted Boost Regoin batters to achieve scores and he picked up 2 crucial wickets.

Today's In One day Cup Essex and Derbyshire faced each other with a tremendous performsnce by both teams but Essex got victory for the fabulous performance by batsmen. Essex opened the innings with Paula and Matt with 8 tuns but their was a long stay after that loss. The secon wicket was down T 81 runs when opener Paul lost wicket at 45 runs. The one down player Tom broke the records out with 17 wonderful boundaries contributing a total of 118 runs. No dought these were the middle order players who laid a strong base for essex. With the amazing batting by middle order Essex scored a target of 366 runs after six wickets.

Derbyshire deserves a salute for their opener and one down player. Derbyshire opened with Harry and Caleb with 18 runs partnership because of the under performance of Caleb. Derbyshire deserved to win this game as their opener hitted 20 bounadaried and the one dona player who hitted 17 boundaries while rest of the team just struggled. These two players were the main pillars behind a chase of 322 runs. If any of the player has survived and contributed some runs they wiuld have won the game but unfortunately lost by a 44 runs gap.

However, I am very disappointed with the performance of the Australian team in the last match, because in the past two ODI matches they have performed very badly. The sudden performance of a strong team has hurt the hearts of the Australian fans, but after losing the series, the Australian team has shown that the Australian team has regained its past form by giving an aggressive performance in the last match. But finally, the South African team has already won the series, but in the last match, the South African team has undoubtedly performed and it was a difficult challenge for them to meet the target of 431 runs.
However, if the Australian team could have done this performance in the second ODI or the first ODI match, there would have been enough chances to win the series later. But after losing the series, the Australian team players have become aggressive, but in this there is nothing but victory.

Australian Men’s Cricket Team played excellent effort in the last match as they were angry because they lost the series and that kind of performance we saw by that team against Pakistan before 10 to 12 years when Pak team won the first two matches of T20 series and after Watson and Warner took revenge ang and hit long sixes and Pak team could not resist in last match and there was  same situation in  last match because Australia cricket team gave big target in this match . Travis head was a person who did excellent in this match and he made excellent score in this match and hit 5 sixes and 17 fours in this match. Other players were also angry in this match.And they hit long sixes and they got chances to hit sixes in this match.

Charlie and Luc both showed good help in batting to win this game and Charlie grabbed 64 runs in 60 balls and hitting five 4s and four 6s. Luc scored 74 runs in 48 balls and hitted seven 4s and five. Derbyshire did nor chase big runs and lost this game by 44 runs and they chased 322 runs. Congratulations Essex for amazing win and best of luck to Quater final games.

Jersey vs Denmark

Is there anyone here who is familiar with this competition CWC Challenge League Group A and today another match of this competition was finished.

Jersey squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 348 scores after playing 50 overs inning. Harrison Carlyon was unable to display good support in starting and collected just 4 scores. But Josh Lawrenson and Nick Greenwood both build strong and long partnership with each other and both collected 107 and 139 scores respectively. Denmark squad was unable to face this big scores and Jersey really expressed remarkable performance today especially in batting. Dominic Blampied played important role in bowling by picking up 3 significant wickets.

In this match, the Jersey team set a target of 348 runs for the Denmark team. In this match, the Jersey team was the one to watch in batting. Nick Greenwood scored 107 runs and Josh Lawrenson scored 139 runs. They completed more than 50 percent of the target of the match and the other two players also continued the same series and gave a great target. The Denmark team, in which teamwork was visible, the batting of all the batsmen was excellent. They fought it well and almost reached the target. Overall, this team is a little weaker than the first team, but still they did not give up. They fought till the end and they were defeated by 89 runs and the first team won this match. The Jersey team, which is stronger than this team, has proved this in this match.

The face to face encounter between these two teams has proven to be a very well-played match. Both teams have struggled to win the match, but ESS's hard work and performance was in both batting and bowling, which is why they won this match. In this match, ESS players have played very well in 50 overs and every player has shown their hard work and struggle and their bowling had a lot of pressure and good run-stopping ability, due to which they have been able to win the match with a lot of hard work. ESS In this match, we have seen a strong and hard-working team and they have played this match with full effort, which was actually an amazing game. Their opponent DER has also struggled a lot and they have scored 322 runs. If their players had not lost wickets they could have worked hard to achieve this target by scoring runs at a faster pace in the next 3 overs.

In quarter final cricket match at County Ground, Essex won toss and chose to bat first and they were facing Derbyshire. They made good target of 366 runs for Derbyshire with losing six wickets in 50 overs. Essex strong performance was driven with good players including Tom who scored century with 118 runs and Charlie who added 64 runs and Luc who contributed quick 74 runs. In their chase Derbyshire could not reach target only managing 322 runs. As result Essex won game by 44 runs and advanced in tournament.

Well... Kenya was a good team. But that was before the ICC killed cricket in that country. Their team has been on a constant downward journey ever since 2003. Uganda has overtaken them, and it is quite possible that they will fall behind the other teams in the region, such as Tanzania, Rwanda and Malawi in the near future. The ICC remains indifferent to the concerns of associate nations. They spend huge amounts to prop-up Zimbabwe every year, but at the same time refuse to provide enough funds to teams like Kenya.

Agreed. All of the other teams are pretty weak compared to India frankly speaking. There was a time when they were all pretty much on the same level, but that was a long, long time ago sadly.

Apart from India, Afghanistan might be the dark horse of this tournament since they have been improving a lot across all formats in recent times.

Jersey won the toss and batting first. Harrison Carlyon  didn't play such a good match for his team where he scored 4 runs off 7 balls. Canada team is completed their turn and they set 219 runs target in 50 overs by losing all wickets.  I do not think 219 runs target is big and very good and if Namibia batsmen hold their wickets they will easy chase this runs and win this game. Nadeem showed good help team to win this game set big target by scoring 46 runs in 66 balls and hitted three 4s and two 6s. Saad also batted well and he scored 35 runs in 34 balls and hitted four 4s and one 6s. Now Namibia batsmen is playing their batting turn and they lost 3 wickets already and Jan and Dylan played good and Jan scored 26 runs and Dylan made 9 runs. Let's what happens in next of this game.

They hadn't forgotten their ability in the previous matches. They were losing the momentum of the matches by losing the wickets frequently in the first two ODI. Australian batsmen had failed to show patience in 1st and 2nd matches. The target wasn't too big for Australia. They will play the next ODI series against India. It will be quite tough for them to win against India if the batsmen fail to show the patience.

Although my question was a rhetorical question, you are also right because at the same time, I think that not every team has the same momentum all the time, and maybe that is what happened with the Australian team, especially with their batting line-up, in the first two matches of the South African ODI series?
Actually, my bigger question than how the Australian team will perform in the Indian ODI series is how they will perform in the T20 series against New Zealand. Will New Zealand be able to maintain the momentum they had in their last match in the T20 series? And if they can't, then just like you, I will say here that there is a possibility that Australia will lose this T20 series as well.

I'm not a big fan of current league format. They are playing a large number of games with each other over a span of multiple years but within that time, teams go through many changes and its more about luck on what time the two team meets. At the start of the tournament, Canada came as a strong team winning every games at the start of this league and now they are so much weak that they have been loosing every game they play. They have lost the last 6 games counting this one. After this part of series, 4 teams would have played 24 matches while teams like Nepal and UAE would have played only 16.
It would have been much better if the league had been shorter and played between the teams in double round robin like they used to do in past.

They had Canada at 140/7 at King City,  but then the hosts managed to make a decent recovery and ended up at 219. And Namibia struggled early on during the second innings, after getting reduced to 23/3. Then Jan Frylinck and Dylan Leicher put together a 151 run fourth wicket partnership, which took them home.

That was great match. It was amazing to see Canada came back after difficult situation. It really showed their fighting spirit and it looked like they might even win game. However teamwork between Jan Frylinck and Dylan Leicher was incredible. They came to plate when their team was struggling badly with score at 23/3. Fact is that they were able to work together and score 151 runs under so much pressure proves their skills. So it means few players can completely change outcome of game.

Yeh it was being start late at mid night according to asian countries time zone that's why rest of member didn't get watch them. Canadian side were looking fine enough as they scored fair according to condition and team strength, it's true that after minior contribution from middle order things were looking tough, but then lower middle order get the situation and played a vital role to have a good number on board for defend. While on the other hand till 83/3 for namabian I was sure it isn't gonna be easy for them, because still they were quite below the required run rate. but the partnership between Frylinck and Leicher not only absorb the pressure, but able to meet the required run rate and thus somehow at the end they get the dominance and secure his match.
