Yeah, In 1st ODI game India defeated South Africa by 17 runs. India opens inning first with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma and both the opener's give a very positive start to team and Rohit Sharma scores a well inning of 57 runs but Jaiswal lost his wicket early on 18 runs but after that Virat Kholi played a remarkable inning of 135 runs and also Kl Rahul plays a well inning of 60 runs, and India set a huge target of 349 runs on score board. South Africa opens inning with Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton but both the opener's don't give a positive start to team and Aiden Markram scores only 7 runs and Rickelton lost his wicket without scores any run. But in middle order Matthew Breetzke. South Africa team reduced the gap a lot by their performance in the last period, they were almost able to achieve the huge target. However, losing wickets early was the biggest mistake of South Africa team, if the aggressive top three batsmen could have scored some runs without getting out like this, then South Africa team would have not faced much pressure and would have been able to win. I did not imagine South Africa team to perform so well against the hard working team India team, and I thought South Africa team would lose by a huge margin, only 17 runs were scored. Washi is work in progress as bowler in red ball and didn't get to bowl single over in the first test, even underbowled in England so one test failure hardly matters. In white ball he's above average anyday and on decent day can finish 10 over quota, for a very long time he used to bowl in the powerplay (IPL) which is a tough cookie for a offie, unless you are Ashwin, it just for some reasons management doesn't trust his bowling.

Bowling looked bad but in a match, where teams scoring almost 700 runs, going under 7 is a blessing and not the other way around. Point is context matters.

I am sure it's not going to be broken because now in coming years ODI is going to be reduced and players will be not able to play matches like currently players are having even for me few records are going to be stayed forever like most matches by Sachin Tendulkar 463 most runs by Sachin Tendulkar 18426.

Coming era is going to be T20I and franchise leagues because now this is profitable business for many countries and boards just because of these players will be tried to have their best in this format and have enough money as well test matches can stay for long, but their records are also going to be stayed for long time due to players have no skills and technique like past players.

You are right, we often forget this and lose many bets like this. For example, Bangladesh had a very good batting performance against Ireland in the Test series but when they came to the T20 format, they lost their first T20 match to Ireland. The opposite happened in the South Africa and Indian Test series. Although the Indian team did poorly in the Test format, they did well in the ODI format.
In fact, matches like this prove to us that the format works as a big factor.

If Bumrah was present in this match, South Africa would have been all out before the 40th over, because South Africa's wickets were storming but it did not last long, although South Africa was all out till the end, but this was mainly due to the weakness of India's bowling, South Africa went a long way.
