Sri Lanka A team gave target 261 run in 49 over. 2 overs and dismissed all team. In whole team Kamil Mishara, Sahan Arachchige and Milan Rathnayaka showed well performance. Mishra scored highest runs. He came opener and played well he made 71 runs in 49 balls. So I cannot consider it good total. But the thing is to be disappointed because NZ A team showed also very very poor performance. SL A team played weak but NZ A also showed poor performance as compared to SL A team.   So it was luck of Sri Lanka A team whose won the match even performed poor. NZ A team bowled well but they could not perform good in bowling line and they lost the match very badly.

First One Day format match out of 3 matches was completed yesterday. Sri Lanka A against New Zealand A competition,  Sri Lanka A squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 261 scores after playing 50 overs inning. Sonal Dinusha and Wanuja Sahan bowlers played crucial role in getting victory and both bowlers picked up 5 and 2 wickets respectively and restricted New Zealand A squad below target. They are playing with a lot of hard work and strength in this series, so it is difficult to assess their success because they are up against New Zealand A which is playing enough well, but the Sri Lanka A team has easily defeated them in two matches and they have defeated them by a very large margin of runs. In this 50 over match, 218 runs has no value but they were thinking that they will win by scoring so many runs when their bowling came, so they tried their best to stop the other team from achieving their target but the other team achieved their target by coming in last and achieved it and won the match. Jan Frylinck who scored 84 runs in this match and this was the highest score of both the teams but Hammad Mirza who is a player of the other team also scored 81 runs and encouraged the players of his team but the victory and defeat of the team is not decided by any single player until the whole team together achieves a good target.  Don't set up a set that puts pressure on the other team, which helps your team win.

To be honest, I assumed that the Namibian team would lose to the Oman team in this match because the Oman team has been in good form recently. Even they have defeated the Sri Lanka A team and the Namibia team a few times so I had more confidence in them that they would win this match.

Unfortunately, their batting performance in this match was a complete disaster as a result of which they set a very easy target for the opposition team in the ODI format. And the opportunity that Namibia did not miss, although if we look at the overall performance of the match, there were a lot of tight performances from both teams.

Namibia vs Scotland match is very important match as both teams are in race for top-three positions to get spot in the 2027 World Cup. Scotland is now favourite as they are more experienced and play very steady cricket, whereas Namibia relies on few star players such as Gerhard Erasmus to play well. To be honest, I assumed that the Namibian team would lose to the Oman team in this match because the Oman team has been in good form recently. Even they have defeated the Sri Lanka A team and the Namibia team a few times so I had more confidence in them that they would win this match.

Unfortunately, their batting performance in this match was a complete disaster as a result of which they set a very easy target for the opposition team in the ODI format. And the opportunity that Namibia did not miss, although if we look at the overall performance of the match, there were a lot of tight performances from both teams.

Among the associate teams that are comprised primarily of native players, Namibia is the team that has gone down the most in recent times. They managed to defeat South Africa in a T20I match last year, but apart from that they have performed quite poorly during the last 2-3 years, especially against major associate teams. In the ongoing round of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, the series is being hosted by Namibia. But despite that they managed to win just one out of the three matches so far. And today they will take on a very strong Scotland in the last match of the series.
