Take a look at the current market at a price around $ 10,000 of bitcoin, so it's hard to assume that it can reach about $ 42000 as you say, I think it will be at least 2 years before Bitcoin can reach that price.

After reading the article, I realized he was using previous movements in price to project into the future. Considering the fact that bitcoin rose from 3k+ to about 14k in the same projected period(5 months), it is important to note that the capital required for such a rise is much more than for the previous run and that is assuming that bitcoin doesn't experience further downside movement which is unlikely.

in due time i guess price can go up to 42k. we all have the hope that i can go that high at  very short time but it just don't happen that quick. the regulation is just to moving forward right now. there is really the need for greater intervention, something has to happen that will change the situation today. we can't just rely on bakkt or facebook libra but the materialization of the adoption.

$42000 is reachable without any time restrictions for the following reasons

• The market dominance of bitcoin against altcoins have increased high after a long time.
• Already $20000 is achieved, which makes $42000 is just a realistic prediction.

• Countries that were once against cryptocurrency were analyzing to make

I would only say wow, that will be the next highest price we will see. If that happens, many people will be rich people because they prepared from now on by buying a lot of bitcoin. 3.Bitcoin futures trading gets banned.
4.All the altcoins die.

Even if any of these will not gonna happen Bitcoin will still gonna reach that $42K in the future but it will take a lot of time to reach that.

maybe for dan morehead's 5 month time window, but i think it's quite likely within a year or so. the monthly BTC trend is way too powerful to be ignored---this doesn't look like a bull trap like summer 2014. by all appearances, we've already begun another bull cycle like 2016-17. and if that's true, then we're about to go a lot further than $42k.

I personally believe that 30k is quite possible sometime soon, I know it looks as if the price is falling lately and it has been trying to breach over 13k and failed multiple times so far and that is why many people somehow believes that the hype and bull run is over but in reality if you see the price keep going up and trying to breach than going down that means it still has a life in it that tries to go up but fails, its the time that it doesn't even try to go up that means bull is over, as long as it keeps trying than I will definitely believe the bull run goes on.

Since, the bull run goes on and there is not a big resistance left after 13k than I believe we will continue going up much faster, the biggest of walls only happens when you are close to it, when you break it than the next wall is always easier to break.

His prediction is based on his own analyzation. Like anyone else, we can make our own prediction backed by our set of references and factors. Although for some, it's really difficult to imagine a bitcoin price @ $42,000 within 5 months period, at the end of the day, it depends on readers if they will buy that prediction or not.

There are lots of predictions you will see around. Some are realistic, some are not - but all have chances even at 0.00001% for unrealistic ones.

Now to answer directly your question based on my own analysis, YES it will but the question is WHEN? - maybe a year, 5 years, a decade and so on....

From where does 42k comes? Why 42k and not 41.9? Oh man.
At the moment no one can say that bitcoin can go up to 40K, in near future no one knows what will happen, maybe it will, maybe not because as you see, recently India banned bitcoin mine/use, what if other countries follow that rule? If you say that price will rise because it will be hard to obtain, then you are in mistake, less demand will result in low price, it's not something that people will go on risk for jail but of course VPN exist here to solve that problem if other countries follow to India which will be more likely illogical but who knows, maybe Trump will follow them, his thoughts are insane.
On another hand, this is like a gold rule, bitcoin will always surpass once it's all time high, so to my mind higher than 20K is guaranteed, at least I think so.

This is definitely impossible, we are at the end of July with a price of $ 9600, there is nothing big that could happen in the next 5 months that would cause the price to rise to $ 42,000. let's draw an analogy to the 2017 bull market:

• $42k is a 437.5% increase from $9600
• $19666 is a 437.5% increase from $4495

we crossed $4495 during the last week of august 2017. 3.5 months later in early december, the market topped at $19666.

so it's definitely not impossible. there are even some signs that a 2017-like bull run is happening again. if the time window were 1 year instead of 5 months, i'd bet he's right.

I believe it will within 1 year from now.
People forget that if Bitcoin goes ATH it does hundreds of percents of gain in approx. 30 days.
So as someone stated it can go way higher and will come down hard afterwards.
