I'm sure it would be helpful to people but I'm not sure how much of a priority it would be to theymos.
I was sort of hoping it would have been implemented by the time I woke up today but Mondays are tough.
Definitely was just an idea I thought would be a cool feature for the forum at some point in time. I know we aren't anywhere near the adding and testing things out for convenience or utility, there are systems current and future that are far more pressing. I had considered the Pm option but am not to keen on a new PM for each addition. For now I'll just continue on as I have been doing using drafts and trying to manage a better "watchlist".
I do appreciate all the suggestions for workarounds. I really don't use a lot of online services like dropbox. I only started using imgur when I joined this forum so I could post an image.
Or just create a personal thread on the Archive board. I’m sure you can do and post all you want there.
This was a thought and something I believe I used to create one of my topics. The only issue I have with that is sometimes I may want the information to have at least the same personal privacy as a draft. Until I post or act on something no one really needs to be able to read the potential content or monitor what I'm interested in at the moment.
I'm pretty sure Theymos isn't willing to add in updates to the current iteration of Bitcointalk, besides security updates.~snip~ I don't think there's a need to complicate it a bit.
It's hard to say what sort of updates we might continue to see added, look at the merit system. I'm pretty sure New forum software has been on the books since before I was a member so we don't know how long we will be using this form. I'm not looking to complicate things just offering an opinion on a feature I think could improve the user experience, based on my usage.
I'm also as I said blissfully unaware of how much of an undertaking it would be to implement or whether it would be a drain on forum resources. There are plenty of unknowns I have no clue about that may make it not worth having.
