This is a large deal if its serious, not familiar on how's going to be the procedure for this kind of deal but it's either a deal from a whale or exchange of your choice.

But care to tell in what country you live? most trades on the forum like this, big or small are on Currency Exchange and you will need an escrow for this trade.

Edit: I've seen you have already made the same post on the section, close this thread.

I can sell at +6%.

Finding a discount since December of last year is almost impossible. Even Cumberland and Genesis are selling at premium.

I will advise you not to do that kind of business with just anyone you see. Because one thing I know for sure is that if you try to buy Bitcoin from anyone, they will tell you to make payments first and if you send payment to them first then you're going to end up losing your money and that's it, just say goodbye to a huge amount of money.

I don't know why you should be looking for a discount though ,It would be better for you to make use of an exchange and buy how much you can afford at the moment. Even escrows are not safe, some.people might recommend an escrow service to you, but you wouldn't know that the escrow is a scam account they are working with. It's up to you though.

For me, I am just imagining how to sell 500btc with or without the 3% discount at once without having a sting with government authority because how do you explain the inflow of minimum of $5,000,000 in your account just like that. If that should even happen in my country, an automatic bar is placed on the account then you have to explain where the  fund is coming from. Do it in bits and hopefully you can get the 500btc you looking at.

Its an another topic actually yet its his problem after all when it comes to taxation and other related things.

For buying up these bulks of BTC then LBC or p2p transaction will be a nice option or even on centralized exchangers too.

But OP wants the discount, he never said anything about wanting to avoid KYC. I'm sure he's well aware he'll need to explain the movement of funds needed to make that sort of transaction.

Besides, anyone who has the money to buy 500 BTC probably has a trust fund of a third party and intermediary to do all these deals for him, so his name is hidden well behind some complex structure, . Guys who own that much wealth don't want to worry about all these issues. Their accountants take care of tax. Their managers worry about financial decisions and risk. They've paid people to worry about all these. That's what money buys.

Probably a thing that hes trying to avoid. Its pretty hard to look for someone who had 500BTC in having a direct bulk transaction.

OP, if you really wanted to buy bitcoin with a discount just go to on this board.  Marketplace > Currency exchange.

Curious to know as to how I can purchase large volumes of BTC. Will be paying cash.

If you are paying cash you have an option there PayPal to bitcoin exchange. But I guess at this scenario you go first to send your fund because usually traders there are reputable and high ranks.

This is surely a large transaction. Can you get a whale ? Grin Do whale still have such quantity of btc Huh

Anyway, guess you have to transact through exchange and for the rebate you are looking for, you have to write the exchange support first to see if that will be possible.

Oh FFS... it's just a poor scam attempt !

Lets talk if you're OK with the below procedure.

1.   Buyer sends his letter of intent
2.   Seller confirms and accepts the procedure and shows Video and Screenshots of Bitcoin Wallet
3.   Buyer submits CIS and Initial POF
4.   Buyer and Seller set a time and date for the meeting. Buyer will reserve a VIP room at a HSBC branch in Hong Kong
5.   During the Table Top Meeting in Hong Kong, Buyer’s bank issues Cashier’s check making seller as the beneficiary of the said check and hands over to the seller or his representative inside the buyer’s bank.
6.   Seller will show wallet control. (Satoshi)
7.   Seller will transfer the bitcoin, and wait until fully transferred to the buyers bitcoin wallet
8.   Once the bitcoins are confirmed and delivered to buyer’s blockchain wallet, buyer’s bank wires the cash to seller’s bank account

9.   Seller or his representative returns the cashier’s check to the buyer or his representative after seller’s bank confirms the cash received in his account and the check is cancelled
10.   Payment in BTC will be released to intermediaries after every completed transact
11.   Next transaction begins….

This guy figured it out right away. Just curious why you still just throw random words here without the slightest research (2-3 more clicks
 in this case)

Lets talk if you're OK with the below procedure.

7.   Seller will transfer the bitcoin, and wait until fully transferred to the buyers bitcoin wallet

Even if I have 500 btc as what OP wanted, I won't sell this online or meet up because that is a very risky and huge amount. I felt doubt that this OP looking for a victim to fall on the trap, why not he did not buy on the exchange or on the Local exchange that is a very easy procedure to process. As I saw replies above, OP was having an attempt to scam people by his post history.

Even you turn the situation around it would still be considered a scam on the Buyers perspective. What makes it not a scam is if both parties trust and agreed each other on a certain point. The Most Valuable Business Commodity: Trust and information. Wouldn't you agree?

Buying from fiat would cost you more but if you go with crypto to crypto the exchange fee is too less. May be instead of buying you can get your first crypto on the form of payment for your service or product. Why don't you try buying it from other altcoin say buy bitcoins with bitcoin cash at best rates.

I want to get a 3% discount on buying 500 BTC.

If you want to buy such a lot amount of BTC you will buy it from the over the counter. I am not sure how much discount they give you when you buy big amount from over the counter but usually the people who buy large amount of crypto do not buy from the exchanges, they buy it from the over the counter services.
Binance also offer this services and you can find more information at the below link https://www.binance.com/en/blog/294786426278453248/Crypto-OTC-Services-Now-Available-on-Binance

The suggested method was really no more than a glorified localbitcoin process of meet and exchange funds, and hope the wire after the fact is legit?

There are professional bitcoin services that can offer this already, there are professional escrow services to protect both buyer and seller, including those offered by HSBC (mentioned in the steps to handle this).

Of course anyone with 500 BTC today has already eluded the scammers so far, I assume they won't fall victim to something.
