Come mine bitcoin with us - the fastest growing mining pool in the industry. Comprehensive Supporting Software Solutions:Pool APP, Calculator, Smart Agent, Currency Intro Multiple APP's For Your Mining NeedsHashrate Monitor, Earning Monitor, Watcher Mode, Hashrate Alarm, Activity Push, Miner Profit Estimate, Multi-language Supported Better User Experience:Three-step Mining Setting, Sub-account Mining, Multi-contacts for Hashrate Alarm Merged Mining:BTC: merged mining with nmc and vcash, nmc and vcash paid on pplns basis. OUR TOOLS: Worker Latency Monitor
Mining pools send jobs to workers and workers then send the calculation result back to the pool. In this mining process, network latency plays a vital role. The higher the latency is the higher the rejection rate will be resulting in lower profitability. The worker latency monitor tool will measure and display the latency between the pool and the workers. This helps miners figure out all the details of their mining farms network latency which in turn furthers the transparency and profit of their operation. Worker Status Monitor
This tool will show our miners the worker status change history. Allowing miners to track, diagnose and monitor the stability of the workers. MinerBox
The miner monitoring software launched by Poolin can configure miners in batches, monitor the status of miners, firmware upgrade and also has an antivirus! Try it out. OfflineKeeper
Electric power load can be kept in cases of network blackout thus reducing damage to electrical equipment in mining farms. Smart Agent
Smart agent is a stratum proxy released by Poolin. Acting as the connection between miners and mining pool, smart agent can help increase the management efficiency of miners and save network traffic. The agent mainly has the following functions: - save network traffic and bandwidth;
- support syncing worker setting from miners;
- support setting sub-accounts in smart agent for miners, and hashrate allocation weight of different sub-accounts;
- support keeping electrical load when there’s no network connection.
Poolin Smart Agent supports various brand miner, such as Avalon, Antminer, Innosilicon, Whatsminer etc.

From what I've been told by a reliable source ... This pool is run by the guy who was involved in the hardware development for Bitmain, but left a few years ago, part of the reason why Bitmain didn't make any new miners for so long, and then had to wait an agreed period of time before starting their own pool. Though, this pool has been around for a year now already anyway ...

Didn't realise twice as much strife was caused by Bitmain employees ...

cool to learn that you run an opensource pool Kano, I am just learning about this fact. perhaps wouldn't hurt to do some marketing outside of btctalk? i've only ever seen you on btctalk (just a kind suggestion)

That's a pretty neat to see, could save a few headaches even setting up a small farm for a new pool. Do you have any plans to add in support for MicroBT products - Whatsminer models? It would definitely be more useful than keeping Ebit on there.

@neutralLTC by accident I set LTC to settle in BTC - I am currently only mining LTC on Poolin, if I start to mine BTC will the LTC to BTC balance that is held be combined with the BTC I mine? or do I need to turn the LTC back to settle in BTC to get that amount being held?

so if i was mining LTC and I had it set to "settle to BTC" but then later turned that off, the balance that is unpaid, will it combine/pay if I mine BTC? or is the only way to get that payout to set it back to "settle to BTC" and mine LTC that way until the balance reaches .005 BTC?

neutraLTCPlease consider adding to your first message, or at the pool page the following information, which i consider vital for people thinking in using your pool: Pool fees and payouts. This information appears to be available in "help" which is a system provided by blockin, unfortunately this requires a login (different from pool login), and it cannot be read otherwise. This particular page appears to have the answer, but without login credentials it is impossible to read: https://help.poolin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004080591-How-much-is-the-minimum-payout-I don't think it is wise to hide your help articles under a separate site, that also requires separate login credentials. If you provide the information here in the forum, it will be very helpful for people comparing pools.

very recently switched on this pool, it appears I get more /day than other pools (ie btc.com). the interface is similar to Btc.com, I like it. still, need to find out how to get the PIN coins every day, didn't have the time yet. any tips are welcomed another random thing is that the hash rate does not fluctuate as much as on other pools. will have to try and understand how what and why Edit: the graphic is differently designed, just realised that

... another random thing is that the hash rate does not fluctuate as much as on other pools. will have to try and understand how what and why Edit: the graphic is differently designed, just realised that It's called faking the data. They smooth out the true results to make fake but smoother looking results. A miner does not have the hash rate it claims, it simply submits shares - no miner since 2011 actually hashes at the rate it says - and since the addition of AB to miners, it is even further from the truth. From the pool side, the pool only sees the shares, since that is the Proof of Work and the only data that is Provable, and the pool calculates a hash rate from those shares. Those shares are the same on any pool, so will produce the same jagged graph on any pool. Shares have exactly the same random properties as blocks, there's just more shares than blocks. The time between each share sent to the pool is random, not linear, so the graph of sets of that data (shifts, hours, or however the pool groups them) will also have variance = the fluctuation. If they are grouping the data in hours, then the hourly points for a single miner would vary about +/- 7.5% (i.e. about 15%) More miners grouped into one data line will reduce that variance.

You will need to create a pin wallet first if I recall though.

when I use poolin, I set payouts to bixin wallet and then xfer from bixin - if you use bixin, it will payout every day no matter how much you earn. 1 sat or 200k sats

Yes i already saw that at the site, but that doesn't answer the question. Bixin is something special, so i would like to know, the normal payout rate when NOT using Bixin, AND what is the pool fee. Normally you would quickly see that information displayed in the pool page, but unfortunately it appears to be buried inside a "help" site that requires (separate) login credentials to access.
This is the kind of thing that should be visible no matter if you are visiting, but much more if you are actually logged to the pool web site.
How can people even compare pools if they don't know their fee and payout structure?

sorry - I guess I did just skip over the question - thankfully @digital$ did answer default payout without Bixin is 0.005BTC pool fee is 4% for FPPS or PPS
if you go to your "manage sub-account" and then on the line of your sub-account, click the "setting" you will see an option for "Minimum Payment Setting" where you have the options of .005, .01, .05 and .1 with default being .005. I did not think of this because it does not apply when withdrawing to Bixin. As for their payment structure, it is clearly stated under the FAQ "fee and payment method" I did notice that it pops up a log in though - and I just close it without completing it.

Finally a straight answer, thanks. This pool is missing from the BTC Mining Pools List thread, it would be very nice if it was added there to ease comparison.

Well this interview made me discover their mining proxy. I am in that very situation they describe for the reason this mining proxy even exists, i need to lower my bandwidth so i am now giving it a try. It doesn't appear to be working, documentation is very poor... Miner connects to proxy, but proxy doesn't want to connect to pool or the pool doesn't see it, whatever. At least it can keep the miner "busy" when there is no connection.., so I'll leave it as 3rd pool choice until i can figure out why it isn't connecting. Nope it doesn't like not having connection after a little while of dns failure. It is anyone's wonder why the "brilliant" minds of Bitmain, make the miners actually consume more power and produce more heat when there is no connection and the miner has no actual work to do... The interview also mentions something about a new mining protocol called "BUMP" which makes me wonder, Any reason the Slush proposal wasn't considered? They appear to address the same issues.

I appreciate the efforts you are willing to make to help out, but it would be much better if you could improve the documentations for your SmartAgent, i agree with Artemis3, the documentations are indeed very poor and need to be looked at.

Some feedback would be highly appreciated so i know what needs to be focused on. Yes, but i downloaded the Linux cli version and ran it for testing. Since it wasn't working well i stopped using it. The idea is excellent, however, but if i were to deploy in a mine, it would need to work as intended. Without connectivity, the program eventually quits. Yes, i could rig a script to endlessly launch it again but this isn't elegant, but that doesn't solve the main problem: It wasn't connecting to Poolin when there was connectivity, it only looks like its working but Poolin sees nothing, and network traffic reveals no attempt to connect to Poolin at all. Perhaps the windows version works better, but that i didn't try. I just don't like the idea of having a windows router in a mine... Tho i did my tests at home, not in a production environment. This file SmartAgent_BTC_Ubuntu.zip includes a text file called " 帮助.txt" which points to a no longer available file on github, so it maybe that the Linux version needs updating. I found the file as posted before, its the very important description of the json config file: https://github.com/iblockin/Poolin-SmartAgentExplan/blob/master/bitcoin_smartagent_readme.mdA suggestion would be to add a working example of a config json file, and the documentation should be in the text file not just in github. It could be that my json is wrong, so here it goes: { "account":[ { "name":"accountname", "weight":1 } ], "account_mode":0, "agent_listen_ip":"192.168.12.1", "agent_listen_port":8888, "agent_rpc_port":16580, "auto_start":true, "offline_keep_mining":true, "pools":[ { "address":"btc.va.ss.poolin.com", "port":443 }, { "address":"btc-bj.ss.poolin.com", "port":1883 }, { "address":"btc.ss.poolin.com", "port":25 } ] }
Problem is: Miner is connecting fine to Proxy but Proxy does not appear to connect to Poolin.

Regarding the proxy ("SmartAgent"), the documentation online is now better. This new version (3.0.5) seems to be working correctly, only thing is i notice this in the log: Running on machine: machine Log line format: [IWEF]mmdd hh:mm:ss.uuuuuu threadid file:line] msg I0119 15:32:02.063156 4915 Utils.cc:285] resolve host: btc-va.ss.poolin.com, ip: 47.252.92.116 I0119 15:32:02.063475 4915 Server.cc:103] success connect[0]: btc-va.ss.poolin.com:443 I0119 15:32:02.064136 4915 Utils.cc:285] resolve host: btc-va.ss.poolin.com, ip: 47.252.92.116 I0119 15:32:02.064231 4915 Server.cc:103] success connect[1]: btc-va.ss.poolin.com:443 I0119 15:32:02.064831 4915 Utils.cc:285] resolve host: btc-va.ss.poolin.com, ip: 47.252.92.116 I0119 15:32:02.064921 4915 Server.cc:103] success connect[2]: btc-va.ss.poolin.com:443 I0119 15:39:09.799919 4915 Server.cc:322] miner connected, sessionId: 12, IP: 192.168.0.10
I do hope the proxy isn't trying only the first server 3 times rather than the 3 different servers specified in the json config file. It is occasional, but sometimes my miner cannot connect to VA but connects fine to BJ... So i would like the proxy to do the same in case VA fails to connect. Also i noticed the option "offline_keep_mining":true is no longer in the provided json file and documentation. I assume this feature is always true?
PS: Unfortunately if the proxy loses connection for too long, it quits. This makes the offline keep mining feature (if it still exists) unusable.

"offline_keep_mining" has been removed yes.
If there is only one stratum server in config file, agent will connect to the same server 3 times. does this answer your query?

This is a shame, "offline_keep_mining" was one of the most interesting features, it kept the asic cool when there is no connection.
My test run had the 3 different servers specified, yet it only connected to the first (VA). If connection fails for long (some minutes) the proxy quits entirely.
This and lack of offline keep mining makes it rather pointless to use it, except for bandwidth compression unless that also was removed.

the hard part is that so many times in the past people have left crypto in exchanges for the same purposes and what tends to happen is that the exchange/pool/wallet service or whatever you want to call it, ends up getting hacked or the owners go poof and people lose it all - if you dont own the keys, you dont own the crypto.

Hello everyone. I recently joined poolin in order to test the profitability and see how often it finds blocks.
My previous pool was slushpool so i want to compare it with poolin. I know Slush is a much smaller pool but it was really convenient being able to see whenever a block was found.
I've got some recommendations to make in order for poolin to become a little more friendly to use.
1. I would like to see in the main dashboard page everytime a block is found and also the reward. 2. The pool's major drowback IMO is that we can't lock the payout address which is something we can do in Slushpool. Are you going to offer this option any time soon?
Thank you in advance

There is always a risk in not owning your keys, I agree. This is why we leave it as an optional feature.

Another EMPTY block today by Poolin. Block 646643
Generating EMPTY blocks means they are not fully testing the blocks they are building upon and risking causing a Bitcoin fork like happened in 2015 when the Pooling manager worked for Bitmain and F2Pool and Bitmain forked onto an invalid chain.
Be wary of supporting pools that do such bad things for Bitcoin.

... It's Poolin not Pooling.
Please don't bring drama here Kano, thanks.
If you consider Bitcoin invalid forks caused by not verifying the transactions in a block, as something that poo lin doesn't care about, which would clearly appear to be the case since you don't verify the block's transactions before sending new work to your miners, they start each block change working on blocks that may be invalid, then clearly this pool is indeed VERY bad for Bitcoin. Indeed any of the sources that you use to get the block headers before you verify the block's transactions, could use that fact to make ALL your miners mine on invalid blocks. Alas it would appear that your minors are ignorant of this fact, or you don't divulge, hide this fact, from them. Which is it?

They were in breach of contract, but lesser fines As such, Pan Zhibiao, Li Tianzhao and Zhu Fa are required by the court to pay fines of about $200,000, $178,000 and $154,000, respectively.

After using Poolin for a few months i must say i'm realy pleased and excited using it.
Do you have any update about the "lock payout address" feature that i proposed? Also, are you going to offer some sort of buying option for mining equipment anytime soon?
Last but not least, i'd love to see a 0.001 btc payout option in the near future. I know you are already offering daily payouts at Poolin wallets, but setting up so many wallets, is a no go at least for me at the moment.
Thank you and i'm waiting for your reply.

Kano, I respect you, however, i have to say. Whens the last time your pool found a block? ? It was July 2020. So that means since the halving, your pool has not found a block. Who cares if your pool is better if no one uses it. and that stupid 1 month ramp up period, if i had to be honest, is why no one uses your pool. You computer geniuses become a bit autistic when it comes to people and common sense. not everyone wants "the best code" or the most perfect elegant system possible. we paid thousands of dollars for these ASICS and we need pools that find blocks. I switched from your pool to slush pool. then i switched to poolin because now even slush is having problems, can go up to 40 hours without a block. i know your line, with luck it all evens out over time. I highly doubt your pool will ever find a block again, and if it does, the luck will be no where near 100%. so before you come to all the other pools to cast stones, take a good look in the mirror

[...]
His pool is small doesn't mean it's not good, I also doubt that people left his pool because it didn't find blocks, it used to find "enough" blocks in "decent" periods when enough people were there, I think people left because 1- they prefer PPS pools (proof is that vast majority of the hashrate is pointed towards PPS+/FPPS pools). 2- his attitude. Now back to Poolin, I did try the pool in an attempt to leave Viabtc, and well, I don't quite like this pool, while I was testing it, my hashrate dropped to zero on the pool phone app, I was a bit far from my PC so I had to rush and call my guy who lives next to the farm to go check the miners, he said all miners were hashing, shares are being accepted, I checked again, 0 hashrate.. and since I don't want my gears to be mining for poolin without me getting paid, I had to rush to point my gears to another pool, after a while, I checked their telegram group and I saw them talk about a server/code update of some kind that caused this whole mess and that the real shares/hashrate was not affected. While I (like you) mine for profit, I don't like to mine to a pool that hires unqualified programmers to handle their system, the hashrate reporting was off for hours, I didn't even receive an email from them "well they said they sent it to everyone after the noticed the issue, but I didn't get anything from them", well, obviously after this incident, I never went back to Poolin, and most likely never will. Now, why don't large pools with good capital hire people who know how to operate a pool like Kano?

Poolin, Are you going to pretend like this question was never asked? why does Poolin mine empty blocks when the mempool is not empty?

Saw you guys lost an orphan race to slush today 696145 Was that caused by the block being found inside china? Only my 'china' node saw it first, all my other nodes saw slush's first.
