If someone had an idea for a coin with a purpose, where would be the best place to get help? If it's a good idea, that's just the beginning.  Getting it done before someone else does it would be nice.  That is assuming it hasn't been done.  Who can keep up these days?

maybe you can get some people in the development section of this forum but you will be so difficult to find a crypto expert outta here because when they have a lot of experience and whey they don't create their own platform or crypto?

It depends on the nature of coin and the scale you want to go.
If the coins about some business, product or service, It would be better to collect the people specialized in the field from your local area. If you don't know any of them, starting from the local boards may help. Even a totally online global team could be possible but there would be many hurdles to it unless there's one leading person that specializes in almost every aspect of the coin and others acts in supporting role.

You can discuss here, because there are many crypto experts in this forum. if your idea is good I think there will be many people who want to be part of the team. or if you already have a little money, you can recruit skilled people. there are lots of people you can hire, you can look for it on linkedin.

Actually, you can open this up in this forum. It is best if you specify the particular expertise or responsibilities of each of the teammate you want to have. If you are really looking up for the services of these particular people, you might want to raise it on this section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0.

Or if you want to discuss more on the details of your potential project, get the ideas from other people, some sort of a brainstorming, you may start a thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0.

Bitcointalk forum is a good place to start, Reddit is also another good forum as well it I like Bitcointalk because.you could easily find any services you need in the "Services" section, you can also place an ad in crypto job sites as well, people check that from time to time.

Depending on how you intend to go about it and also your budget. If you have an idea but you do not have the capital to even take care of half of the project, forget about it because you are going to end up creating a project that will turn out to be dead later just like many useless projects out there. There are many freelance platforms that have many professionals from different fields. Elance, freelancers etc are few of such platform. However, when you are recruiting, make sure you recruited people that reside in the same country as yours or nearer because that will really save cost and give better team management.

Whatever team you are getting must be someone that is familiar with blockchain, and someone that is well none to you and has the same push for success as you because most people that we have now are just after the money in the ICOS, the only drives that they have is the drive to make raise money, and  not establish projects, so to get a team that you can really use, you could just look within you first, and look for some of your friends that you have known who you believe would have the passion same as you, and be careful not to divulge everything about it out at one as there are some friend that could easily betray you and after getting your idea would want to hijack it and then go for their own separate project using the idea given to them.

Its really not a easy task to build a team from scratch and each everyone of the teams must be pro in their own fields which means this can take longer than you expected, what are you trying to build actually?i hope you are a pro yourself who is good in his/her own field?you can start from linkedin and reddit, many pros and blockchain experts are there and dont build aomething thats already available in crypto space already, try to be different

If you are looking for a developer to materialize your idea, the best place to look is on Github, on this forum, and on Fiverr, I don't like Linkedin, although you can see projects posting their team Linkedin profile, they do not have a KYC there you can post any credentials that you can think of.

On Github : You can check the repository of their previous works
On Fiverr:    of course you can see their feedback and sample of their works
Bitcointalk You can easily tell how good they are by the way they post and communicate.

Do not find teams from linkedin or reddit because there are many fake profiles on them,if you find teams through this source you will end up with a bunch of useless liars claiming they are experts in their fields, its better to find sources where KYC is a must for everyone using the social media so that you will know they actually have the talent of how blockchain tech works, this will requires lots of work but it will benefit your project alot
